You took 17 damage after you de stealthed by attacking them, and they rolled rather high. Unless you vanishing trick works as greater invisibilitiy?

That's always been the paradox with rogue-ish types: Stealth to hide but once they're seen they're hung out to dry.

The solution with my rogue is to eventually have 5 castings of invisibility a day. LMAO.

Until that doesn't work. ;) My in-person game, our rogue was doing her sneaking with invisibility and didn't realize the bad guys could see her until it was surprise round time. Oops and then OUCH!

Good morning to you! It was Easter weekend so things might be busy for some people. :) Constantine is still awaiting the results of his Fort save so I'm on edge to see if he drops over dead. Although not part of the plan it was part of the gamble he took in issuing the challenge. I just hope the army took advantage of the spectacle to move north and begin crossing at the secret site to reinforce Adigale, Sapphire, Xotikeidēs, and Sahala.

A linnorms death curse can effect the next of kin, and can be reflected, if it unduly effects the nobility of fae.

Although this will... make you suffer the death curse as well, the longer you can hold on, the longer you can resist it, the further it will spread amongst its kin, the hard it will be for them to resist it as well...

kn planes Nephilim DC20:

A Nephilim is a direct descendend of a demonlord and something... somewhat mortal? If that Minotaurs mother is a Nephilim then... its grandparent is possibly a demonlord?

Something evil, nasty and very high up in the Demon hierarchy, but you dont know specifics

You have a turn to ask a question, either out loud to those who look at the duel or to the fading spirit of the Linnorm.

And what is my name... I killed for you... give me a name...

There is a totally not nuke elemental, while the cultists are running, one unopenend barrel with roided up fiendish killer wasps remains as well.

You have a turn to ask a question, either out loud to those who look at the duel or to the fading spirit of the Linnorm.

Knowledge (Planes): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Well that didn't work. Ah well the fickle nature of the die roller strikes again! Constantine will opt for a question to the linnorm. The rest of the army had their orders on what to do and when both during and after the duel.

"I don't understand. If I accept the curse it would harm and possibly kill demons or whatever line of abominations spawned this minotaur or would it plague my fey relatives?"

Constantine staggers and tries his hardest to remain standing and keep up the appearance of strength so the Army of Light does not falter and hopefully the demons and their slaves break and run.

You might want to keep the horns. Depending on how things go the original plan was for a portion of the army was to head towards you and the other PCs were to be the vanguard to marshal them and assault bridge from behind their defenses.

If yes, roll a succession of fortitude saves

Her horns are part of her rage, which if she just kept she'd run out of rounds. I wasn't really keeping track though, so if we have another fight soon I need to go back and count rounds.

"Yes."

As a reminder Constantine has the following bonuses; not sure which, if any, apply. From 'Hell's Reject' campaign trait: "You gain a +1 trait Bonus to will saves, which increased to +2 when used against the spells or spell like abilities of chaotic outsiders, or against spells that have the chaotic descriptor." From the 'Birthmark' trait: "You gain a +2 trait bonus on all saving throws against charm and compulsion effects." From the 'Fey Foundling' feat: " You gain a +2 bonus on all saving throws against death effects."

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

I'll add a Surge to that 23:

Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 1

That won't take long; I can't believe I've rolled as well as I have so far and Constantine only has 1 Mythic Point left for Surge. I'll roll the saves one at a time:

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

LOL it only took one more and a Surge isn't going to help that 2! What's the bad news?

---------Arrius----------

6 saves passed in total including the initial one

Your blood burns.
You are permanently staggered, and gain vulnerability to fire.

Yet as you accept the curse... you can spread it. Into the one who should have faced this curse, the half Balor Minotaur you just slew... and his kin.

vision 1:

Now, a wicked Fae would have cursed the Minotaurs descendents, should he have any, but you are a Paladin. You do not go for easy targets, it is those who spawned this who bear your ire.

For a moment, you see a towering Half Minotaur female, bedecked in Baphometan regalia and in front of a chained angel, holding some glowing stone right in front of it.

Where is your Ragathiel now, angel? See Angel, how close this key is to you, how tantalizingly close your freedom is? But you just cant reach it can you?

As the minotaur toys with the angel, a sudden shriek goes through her, as her blood burns just as yours, the glowing medal tumbles, and with exertion, the chained angel manages to reach it, disappearing in a flash of light that accompanies teleportation.

WHATTT IS THIS PAIN! Baphomet remove this curse!

She shrieks, and casts magiks to undo the death curse that is upon her.
She succeeds, eventually.

She thinks she did, warrior. For my curse lingers inside her, ready to strike again, when the time is most... inopportune.

but for that the curse will need to remain upon you, if you can bear it. the linnorm speaks in your mind

vision 2:

Your endurance is formidable It continues
see

You see an Abyssal Battlefield, a demonic warhost which you identify as Deskarite, by the preponderance of Derakni demons and their heraldry battles against a throng of spidery things, chitin ripping and scythes claws ripping into each other.

A mighty Balor, flying upon wings of not flame but insects swoops down to attack the figure leading the arachnid host, some towering arachnid thing, sleek carapace and long spidery legs bristling with perhaps vorpal energy. Just in the moment of the charge, the Balor shrieks in pain as his blood... burns, even though Balors should be utterly immune to that. Sensing the moment of weakness, the Arachnid pounces the Balor, its claws cutting deep into it, and its fangs penetrating into its torso, and its legs weaving cutting strands of spiky, deadly webbing around the Balors lower legs. Just before the Arachnid can tear out the Balors heart, the Balor manages to teleport away, leaving a shrieking and victorious arachnid super-predator triumphant. Shrieks cascade towards the Arachnid host at this fiercesome display, and the demoralized insectoids of Deskari fall under a tide of hungry fangs and pincers.

Well, that round of Abyssal slaughterball goes to Mazzmezz, that one Balorlord out of comission and a couple of thousand Deraknis become food for the Qlippoths. Excellent but

Vision 3:

Look at this smug f%*%er
The Linnorms voice continues as you see someone who is undoubtedly Baphomet himself, pacing over what seems like maps in his impossible fastness. Simultaenously seeing what seems to be visions of the Minotaurs trouble and the defeated Balor, plotting.

I could affect him with my curse right now, you held on long enough but...

It would be trivial for a demonlord to undo mine, yet... I can wait. When he faces one of his peers, or another serious threat, then I, then we, will strike! Even if this ends up aiding the likes of Asmodeus, I, We, Arrius, will put our thumb on the table right then. He will know staggering pain, he will now great weakness to fire, when he least expects it, when he can least survive it.

Know what thy suffering will bring upon thy foes, Warrior of Magdh and Iomedae both!

Constantine staggers under the new, uncomfortable sensation coursing through his body. He urgently gestures to Cydric and hopes the spell Cydric used to communicate with him earlier is still in effect.

To the Linnorm:
"For the good of all I shall bear the curse. What I say next is for us, Iomedae, and my fae kin: Almighty and most merciful Iomedae and blood of my blood, we humbly beseech Thee, of thy great Goodness, to restrain these foul fiends opposing us. Grant us fair conditions for battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among all creatures and nations. Amen" (Paraphrased speech by General George Patton from the movie 'Patton.'

"I am alive but disabled. We need you to take command and execute the plan - have our 'panicked' troops flee north to the secondary crossing and launch the assault! If I should fall...make sure my sword is delivered to Queen Galfrey."

He manages to stay upright and announce to the assembled forces of evil defending the bridge, "I have prevailed in the duel! Flee before the divine judgement of Iomeade!"
