Is Zander still here? I was going to have Ash take his cue from Zander's reaction, but... ^_^;

Sorry! What with everything else going on, and not getting messages from Paizo, I basically completely forgot these games existed. Post coming in a few minutes.

Rough idea of how much coins are worth:
1 CP = $2
1 SP = $20
1 GP = $200
1 PP = $2000
The typical Throneport (or other large Eberron city) commoner makes about 5gp/week ($1000, ~52k a year) but it's expensive to live here.
A skilled worker probably makes about 2-3x (10-15gp/week, ~100-150k) that much with really well off workers making as much as 10x or more (50+gp/week, 500k-1M).
Untrained labor makes way less than that, around 7sp/week ($140, ~$7300 a year) but that's basically panhandling or busking or picking up day labor work.
Throneport is like living in NYC or London or Paris (or Night City or Shadowrun Seattle). There's an enormous difference between Sea Ward and North Ward (where Trollskull Manor is), where people make 10-50gp/week (or have the kind of family where they don't keep track like that), and Dock Ward and Southern Ward, where people make 3-5gp/week.

Sorry guys, I'm caught in hellweek. I was going to have Ash pound on the empty room's door and call out about how "the messenger is here for you," then leave, but... yeah. Ash will head back to the Trollskull.

My post with Sky is currently paused while she is away on a trip. We are making headway, however.
The summary is such:
- Sky has confirmed the identity of Kalain, and where to find her.
- When the pair is done brooding at each other, we will be heading back to the Trollskull to report.
- Then, Sky and I will go interview Kalain. We are open to suggestions of specific things to ask.

Oh, Karl, while I'm thinking of it, I want Decaln to get an Eberron Metal band together to play at the Trollskull and/or other venues.
His Perform isn't great (cross-class), so he'd probably be "rhythm guitar". He'd recruit a typical lineup of vocalist, lead guitar, bass, drums, etc.
This is something I suppose could be straight-up roleplay, but I'll defer to what you think!

Hmmm... *that* could wind up running into problems with Illendur's family...

This is awesome and I'd love to play it out.
Zander is correct, too- Illendur is definitely the right person to approach with the idea first. Not just because House Phiarlan (dba outside of Trades Ward as "the Council of Musicians, Instrument-Makers, & Choristers") has a lock on music acts and venues in town but also because Illendur in particular knows a lot of local talent.

Karl, if you're game to play Kalain, I can add you to our next GDoc. Otherwise Sky and I can improvise given direction.
Idrassa Quill |
So, I need two rulings. First, can Tweety squeeze through the arrow slit on her next action? And second, Idrassa is going for a Wand of Summoning I. Summoning I has a range of 25'. Can she summon a creature into the space beyond the arrow slit, and control it enough to attack? She can't see the floor, but she could perhaps summon an eagle in the space. But she can't see the men - can she direct a summoned creature based on Tweety's link? The eidolon link is communication, not shared senses.
I'm essentially asking if Idrassa can work remotely for this fight. :-)

Sure, Tweety's long and narrow. Makes sense to me.
And second, Idrassa is going for a Wand of Summoning I. Summoning I has a range of 25'. Can she summon a creature into the space beyond the arrow slit, and control it enough to attack?
She'd definitely have line of sight/effect to summon inside the arrow slit. As far as controlling it, the spell says "It attacks your opponents to the best of its ability." Then if you can communicate with it you can give it other orders. So you can pop a summon in that room and it will auto attack. I don't think you could give it specific orders from the ground outside the tower.

I'm all about working remote. :)

OK, thanks. So she's starting her summon this round and it will appear next round. She's going for a celestial eagle, because there isn't enough screwed up religion going on in this scene already.
"We were conducting a service to the Mockery, and this Shifter follower of the Silver Flame broke in and tried to stop the ceremony."
"So you killed him."
"Well, we would have, if it weren't for the Couatl that jumped in."
"The what?"
"The Couatl. Oh, and it had a celestial eagle with it too."
<pause> "Go on."
"Well, that's when things started to get weird..."

LMAO
Is the front door locked?

"We were conducting a service to the Mockery, and this Shifter follower of the Silver Flame broke in and tried to stop the ceremony."
Just to be clear, Ash has neither been forthcoming about his nature as a "special" shifter, nor his past (including following the Silver Flame, which I don't think has ever come up in conversation).
It's definitely why he's been weird around Idrassa and Tweety, but frankly he's a shifter and they're all a little odd. Staring at people and following them around quietly is definitely not uncommon behavior. XD

I was just reviewing my house rules and wanted to remind (tell you for the first time? could be, sorry) everybody you get free Skill Unlocks at 5/10/15/20 skill ranks. Rule page from another game here.
And that feats that provide a flat bonus scale with level.

I'm about to go to bed, so I'll post tomorrow, but Sir GM, does the man Zander hit go down?
Whurzander |
Just trying to figure out Tweety's moves in my head, so as to figure out what Zander is doing.
It *seems* like her movement would Provoke AoOs from Red and Purple, possibly, also?
Whurzander |
Hey! Sorry. We're downsizing into our car at the end of the month, so I've been distracted again, and didn't realize that I hadn't been getting notifications again.
Zander would probably not have understood Idrassa's body language. And no worries - in any interview with this guy, Zander will probably ask more questions than the interviewer. :-)
