How much money did we have overall, and I suppose how are we splitting it?

uRogue HP Level 3: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Now, we're talkin'...
I am still focused on "roguish" stuff... but, also furthering his fairy tale hero vibe.
Took the Bodyguard feat.
I think the only thing special I'd need is MW Thieves Picks & Tools (or whatever the hip kids call it these days). 100gp.
I don't think I've earned enough GP to get anything special (other than that).

You get 200 gp from the Intendente himself, but the second part hasn't been determined.
Assuming an even split on cash, that leaves:
421 gp, 4 sp, 1 cp (added and divided up)
The smaller gems and items, even split, give you:
260 gp and 6 sp more
The three bigger gems will be a little harder to sell in a village the size of Albarra, at least quickly.
So if you all decided to go with even split and no one wanted decorative items, you'd get:
200 + 421 + 260 = 881 gp, 10 sp, 1 cp each, leaving the bigger gems in party treasure for now.
I think the only thing special I'd need is MW Thieves Picks & Tools
Jules says she'll have to order them from Santa Merceda. She says "about a week."

If you guys are rolling, I feel obligated to do the same.
1d8 ⇒ 4
Boy, do I regret it. 881.11 GP though, now that's a nice chunk of change. Half-tempted to invest it into a healing stick.

Uret Jet |

Picked up extra channel for some more, now improved heals of 2d6. Hadn't spent the money yet, as I wanted to see what people thought of group buying a wand of CLW first. I'll pick it up on my own if not, that's fine. Most equipment I want is rather big-ticket outside my budget.

I'm happy to contribute to healing stick. Split 2 ways, 3 ways, 4, 5... whatever.

rando1000 |

Not sure how long we are on the area.
Kind of leaving that up to you guys. Rocko lives in Albarra, Spizz has a room at the Friendly Mesa Inn. You could continue to use Albarra as a base of operations, or move on.
First I guess would be determining what your next plans are regarding adventuring. The map you found likely leads you some distance away, so you'd be gone for a while if you go that route. On the other hand, there's not a ton of human (or elven) settlements that direction to set up a base in. At least, not on THIS side of the location. Once you've reached The Wellspring of Entropy, you might travel in any direction looking for settlements and more adventure.
Basically, traveling that way is akin heading out into the wilds. You as a party haven't really been on the other side of those mountains (except Yoltzin, who came from a forest further North and on the other side).

Uret Jet |

I like the idea of visiting this wellspring, investigating, and then coming back pardon we don't find anything drawing us elsewhere after that. Using the town as an adevnture hub sounds good.

Sorry I might not have made clear for you guys. Roll or take the average. A four isn't horrible compaired to 4.5, which would become 5 at every odd level. Only 1 HP down.

Djack Nymball |

We had maybe the same storm... some ruckus!
I believe I'm leveled.
Only outstanding item, how we split the healing stick.
At this level I'm usually concerned about encumbrance and ACP. So might try to use the balance of funds towards that.
Otherwise, leveled.

Elias Quince |

Sorry, had end of year essays to mark so I've been snowed under this week. Just finished my last one. I'll get levelled up tomorrow.
As for purchases, like Uret my eye is always drawn to the pricey shineys! I'll probably save most for now. I'd definitely pay my share of a wand though.
I'd vote for heading out into the wilds once we're all ready.

Good that we haven't lost ya! RL happens and it sounds like folks are counting on you!

rando1000 |

I'm assuming mithral chain shirt is a special order... If it's also a week. Would they take 50% up front and the rest when I pick up?
Yeah, Jules can order one and hold it for you on layaway until you have full payment, especially if you're willing to put that much down.

Rocko will help contribute to a wand of cure light. Do we have 5 party members to make it an even 150 per person?
Also, if we're doing that kind of traveling, Rocko is very interested in getting some kind of pack animal. First inclination is buying a donkey. Too bad we're not fourth level when rangers can get an animal companion.

Uret Jet |

Unless we get Spizz back, it'd be a 4-way(kinky) split for an ugly 187.5

Uret Jet |

Actually, I had still been considering necromancy for her, embrace her cultural heritage as a wild elf with weird death gods. Necromatically raised horses could be a good place to start.

I'm going to keep botting Spizz for the time being, for a few reasons. First being a good arcane caster is very useful to have. Second, he's easy to play, being primarily a blaster sorcerer. Third, he's just fun to have around. Don't think I could have made a better NPC if I'd tried.
And the coin breakdown I gave you was a five-way split.

So, we go with 5-way split on Healing Stick.

Yoltzin |

Aw3some then, glad we've got that worked out. I'll hold onto the stick seeing as I can actually use it, and Yoltzin will make an unbreakable elven vow to not run off with it.
(Those don't exist but she'll not mention that part)

rando1000 |

Okay, so to summarize:
sphere of healing (1 HP/hour) to Djack
10 +1 Arrows to Yoltzin
881 gp, 10 sp, 1 cp each
Since no one wants the Masterwork Scale, that's an additional 20 gp each assuming you sell it to Jules, for a total of 901.
Ring of Sustenance, 450 gp amethyst, and 650 gp aquamarine staying in Party Treasure for now.
Everyone's chipping in 150 for a CLW wand to be wielded by Yoltzin.
And I believe we have consensus on heading out toward the Wellspring of Entropy after 7 days?

Happy 4th of July (US Independence Day)... yes, even if not in the US, I'd BBQ with you!
** fun fact: the US Declaration of Independence was signed on July 2nd - but it was a Saturday! Made official on Monday, two days later!

Djack Nymball |

I thought you meant you wanted us to do a short quest without the MW Tools (during the week), but that's neither here nor there.
901 gp, 10 sp, 1 cp (MW Scale added).
Do we recoup at 50% cost what we upgrade? Like 1 gp (cost 2 gp) for the backpack and 15 gp (cost 30 gp) for the theives' picks & tools?

Djack Nymball |

I guess a "Combat Trained" mount knows a few tricks (attack, guard, etc...) but doesn't have Light Armor Proficiency... so can't wear armor/barding?
I can't afford it right now, anyways... was just thinking on it.
It states a Heavy Horse (Combat Trained) can fight with barding or without... strange.
Never does this before, learning as I go.

rando1000 wrote:I thought you meant you wanted us to do a short quest without the MW Tools (during the week)
Oh! I never though of that. Yeah I guess you could have, though since I've already started with the Wellspring I think we'll stick with it now. No, what I had meant was, sometimes players don't want to take the bait of a specific quest; I was trying not to railroad you by saying your characters indeed COULD decide to just do something else, giving the option of exploring the wilds near Albarra as an example.
rando1000 wrote:Do we recoup at 50% cost what we upgrade? Like 1 gp (cost 2 gp) for the backpack and 15 gp (cost 30 gp) for the theives' picks & tools?
Sho' nuff.

I think that's the technical rule; I'm willing to houserule Light Armor barding being available to Combat Trained mounts, with heavier bardings being available by paying a trainer (or training the animal during downtime) for a certain number of weeks.

Djack Nymball |

Thanks, that's more than fine. Mainly for self defense.
I'm really just showing my DM that I'm exhibiting due diligence & due care (once I can afford it). In the hopes that the mount survives.
Not trying to turn it into anything, or trying to gain any mechanical advantage... it's just a mount he's fond of.

rando1000 |

Rocko's people... Friendlies or just Gnolls?
Just Gnolls, no way to know their disposition until you meet them. Historically Gnolls were conquerors in this region, but they were eventually instrumental in their own downfall. They're not an inherently "Evil" people, though some certainly could be.

In a game today, but I'll make a post up when I'm aviaible.

Yoltzin now properly has the earings shown in that art I use. Probably about ten or twenty GP worth of jewelry, I'll not that on her sheet.

Djack Nymball |

If these guys are that slow, it's honestly tempting to try kiting them around and pick them off at range. But where's the fun in that?
I've always liked the idea of kiting. Kiting IS the fun. Right there, under your elven proboscis.

Moving forward a span, the elf lifts up her charred skull emblem, looking upon the merciless dead with mournful pity. Despite her conviction however, she's not as familiar with this application of her celestial fire causing limited effect.
Is this just regular Channel Positive Energy? If not, can you link the ability you're using?
