Looks like it will be 9-18 then, which seems like it'll work!
It will be at least a few days before I can start prepping it. Plus everyone will need to level up. I'll get chronicles out... likely very soon.
Oh yeah, the boss fight is functionally over with Psara's kill. We have things to wrap up, but there is no further risk of player death going forward.
But daaaaamn, you all tried to make it as close as you could! I hope the combat there brought the enjoyable type of anxiety from being a challenging battle.

Well s!#! on a shingle.
#3-07 Echoes of the Overwatched (Dran played)
#4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild (Dran played)
#9-18 Scourge of the Farheavens (Ander Played)
#10-10 The Shattered Shield (Just... not a fun scenario... but if it becomes the only option...)
The good news is I found a few more scenarios that most of you (hopefully all of you) haven't played.
#2-24 Shadow's Last Stand, Part II: Web of Corruption
#4-11 The Disappeared
Beyond the next one (or two), we will need to find two more scenarios to get us to level three. At which point we may try some 3xp modules, if still together and cruising along and they actually work for us.
FYI, I'm using PFS Sessiontracker to figure this stuff out. I created a group with most of everyone's details in it. So assuming everyone keeps that updated with what they have run then it will narrow things down a bit.
At some point, especially at early levels, someone may have to burn a replay or skip a scenario. Hopefully we can avoid that though. We could also look at some of the other evergreens. You can run them at higher than level one once, which might open up one of them as an option as most players only run evergreens at level one*.
I also welcome anyone's input as to any other options.

*Evergreen Options
#7-10 The Consortium Compact (lvls 1-2)
#8-16 House of Harmonious Wisdom (lvls 1-5)
#9-16 Fallen Family, Broken Name (lvls 1-5)
#10-16 What the Helms Hide (lvls 1-5)

I’ve played most of the listed ones but I’m fine burning a replay on any of them. I don’t think I’ve played 9-16 or 10-16 of the evergreens. And I’ve not played 2-24 either.

![]() |

out of all the scenarios listed on this page, i've played all of them...except 2-24...i've played a couple of the evergreeens with lvl 2...have to see which ones exactly...
edit...I can play Compact with Ander...others are a no go...

…
Maybe we shoulda done this group as Core, lol.
(That woulda been some pretty boring dwarves tho)
———————
Anyway. Do we want to try to play some of the 3xp modules? I think the ones I looked at were tier 2-4, which usually works best with a level three PC but… there are seven of you.
I’ll see if I can find a list of options and we will see if any can be played.

GM TOP |

Considering if we only run a 1 xp scenario next, we will run across the exact same issue right after so let's look at 3xp options.
Option #2: Crypt of the Everflame
Option #3: The Godsmouth Heresy
All three are Repeatable and Playable at level 2 (once I'd assume) for 3 XP. It would get us to level 3 where a few more options open up.
Or I could grab Thornkeep and do part one (The Accursed Halls), which is repeatable and Tier 1-2.
And the last 3 xp module in an appropriate tier would be part one of The Dragon's Demand which is not repeatable, so probably the least likely it can be run.
Honestly, with the amount of things you all have played for XP, I doubt any of these will work for everyone. But we will see.

There are some other modules that are tier 2-4, but let's dig through these first to see if any work before we jump to those higher difficulty ones.

As experienced as most of us are, we should have replays out the wazoo. People are just going to have to use replays because all of us will have played just about every scenario when it comes down to it.

![]() |

I have played Crypt of the Everflame at least 3 times. I'd play it again but would choose Godsmouth first Mark second ant Crypt as third. While written for first level characters I suspect there are a few over the top encounters so I for one am glad we will be second level.

I haven't played anything on this list, so I agree with whatever everyone else says.

Got Kaz leveled. I had to take a rank of Know. Religion so Kaz can better question why Torag continually abandons him in a fight!

![]() |

Am I the only one here that has almost no PFS games played through? I haven't even heard of most of those.... LOL!
Level 2! Hurrah!

cmlobue |

You probably do. They are just not listed anywhere convenient. Or at all, as far as I can tell. You get one per year per star, plus 1 per 50 sessions played.
I have seven characters to level up, but fortunately, there is not a lot of decision-making for phantoms.

![]() |

i did not know you got one just for playing...no one told me that...gotta see how many sessiosn i have played..it's at least 100....
edit...stopped counting at 130 or so with 7 characters left to count...
so...just so i'm clear...i have never gm'd game...but played a boatload...and i get replays?

cmlobue |

Yeah, they handed a bunch out when PF2 began. They used to show on the GM/Event Coordinator page with your tables of credit for running (I think), but not any more.

![]() |

I do not recall that the GM * replays reset each year. I know that they did not initially.
But I have to admit that I have not tried to keep up with such.

GM TOP |

GM replays are different than the free replays people got.
The GM replays do sorta reset every year, BUT only if you run a ton of scenarios that year. I’ve never come close to the reset number though.
The free replays were shown on the Paizo site where cmlobue mentioned, but aren’t there anymore. They probably removed them at some point in the last couple years during an update.
I wouldn’t be concerned too much about it though. If you know what replays you have and can use a couple as we go, great! If not, also no worries!

It seems that the Godsmouth Heresy will be what we run next. This is a long dungeon crawl, so prepare as accordingly as you can. I’ll get everyone else’s chronicles up (hopefully within 24 hrs). If anyone objects strongly to running that module, let me know now. Thanks!

![]() |

And once again, because I always forget to say it, thanks so much for running at these groovy scenarios and modules for us, GM! That is super duper nice of you.

![]() |

I'll second what Kaztor says, thanks for running a fun game!
Did we find any treasure with the boss?

![]() |

Yep. Thanks. GM TOP. You run a fun game. :) Dran should power up considerably at level 2 so IF he can roll above a 5 watch out. lol

![]() |

Godsmouth is cool. I've run it, but not played it. But being a dungeon module, my player foreknowledge should have little or no impact and in any event I'll leave any decision making to others.
Halali will take a level in Shaman now, probably Unsworn. She'll stay in Shaman until she qualifies for Storm Kindler.

![]() |

Just thinking out loud here, GM, but would you like to try and run an AP volume for us at some point? That might make it easier for people who’ve played a bunch of scenarios.
Everyone can still get credit for it, I think.
I know that’s biting off a big chunk but I think the group has been pretty darn active and could probably handle a volume, if you felt like giving it a try.

GM TOP |

Maybe. There are sanctioned parts of APs that are probably similar in length to 3xp modules.

![]() |

My level 20 character has two sets of APs on them. The sanctioned parts are pretty short (for the ones that do that - the last couple APs are the "do it all, apply to any level" type). Emerald Spire floors are also pretty short.

![]() |

I know the first one for Mummy's Mask was over the top hard...
Dran is leveled up and ready to go.

![]() |

I shall get Halali finished and get into gameplay hopefully this evening.
Halali just needs her familiar I think. I shall probably go for a raven but I've had a bit of analysis paralysis.

![]() |

In a similar boat. Thinking of adding a level of Snakebite Brawler to pick up a sneak attack for better DPS. Just having a brief fear of commitment.

![]() |

Uh... what source of light will be used so the raven/rook doesn't slam into the walls?
If you'll allow a little addition to the shopping list GM, I'll take an ioun torch and a familiar satchel. Grim will use the torch, and if we want to go dark he can hide in the satchel.

That is more than acceptable. I didn’t even think of it until just the last post anyway. Consider it done!

![]() |

Other than Halali, did anyone else trade away Stonecunning for a different trait?
Swapped out for Rock Stepper (allows 5' step in difficult terrain).

![]() |

This tight quarters combat is absolutely going to be a repeated situation in this dungeon and others. Lotta confined maps and there are eight of you. Hopefully though other fights won’t be quite as bad as a chokepointed stairway.
Halali becomes more of a casty as she levels. The party has plenty of melee types that will overtake her in that area.
I've given Halali a reach weapon now so she can swing from the second rank, albeit not with great accuracy.

Great news for those asking about replays!
Short story, they put how many replays everyone has back on their organized play area and gave out a few free ones. And finally put a way to actually report a use of them for GM’s.

Just as a reminder to all, I have links to the maps used in this game in my header and at the top of the campaign under the title 'Dwarf Maps'.

I am recovering from Covid - managed to avoid it until a flight out west week before last. Feels like a mild case of flu - but that is bad enough. Feeling human again... and ready to get back to posting.
