Chronicles are HERE!
I don't know when the next scenario will start. I will give at least two weeks to let everyone get to level 3.
Would any of you like to run a session for the group? Now would be a good time, I could use a break from this side of the screen.
Edit to Add: I also want to point out that I like the dwarf stuff and am cool with continuing with all dwarves (and if I play I will be bringing a dwarf). But that initial requirement is now off the table. Anyone is welcome to sub in an alternate race or PC for a single session or for multiple sessions or for the rest of the run we have together.

I'll be running The Waking Rune for Gameday soon, and I don't think I have capacity to GM more than 1 table at a time just now. That said, I wouldn't rule out running for the dwarves (and/or their friends) in the future.
Chronicle is good btw, cheers!

Everyone doing good with leveling?
Looks like no one is free to run a session, which is no problem. I’m not sure when I’ll start up again, but it’ll probably be after gameday starts in early September.

I am leveled and about to update my alias. I'll be attending Dragon Con over Labor Day weekend so early September is perfect for me.
I will consider running for the group after my fall busy period. I run in real life quite a bit and have always intended to step up and run in this venue. You all seem like good sports and I think will be helpful for a first pbp run.

![]() |

Will level over the weekend. Planning to run Bilos with this crew as long as you'll have him.

guys..i have a question about a deed. I can make a surprise melee attack using pistol whip. it says at the bottom of the description(on AON) that the maneuver costs a grit...does that refer to the knock down part or the whole thing?

GM TOP |

It looks to me like it would be the deed itself costs one grit, so just making the attack costs a grit.
It seems like a pretty special and cool attack, so it makes sense to me to have a grit cost.

And you can use your +x bonuses that you will be already getting on your weapon. Seems like a nice, but very situational, deal.

![]() |

Do you have any particular plans for future Hex choices, Grunigon?
Halali will have two floating hexes at Shaman 4 (ie level 5). Although she'll probably choose Fly as one of them from level 6, there could be options that will synergise with your hexes.

![]() |

I was just planning Evil Eye for this level. Not very powerful but mostly unlimited use. I don't like the once-per-day-per-target hexes. Likewise the save-or-suck.... (Slumber for example.) Was considering Protective Luck, but I don't think it is PFS legal, and without cackle it is very limited. I can pick up one hex each level if I use all of my feats for rogue talents, and all rogue talents for hexes....
Fury? I don't see that on the witch hex list. Searched. Fury is a once-per-day-per-target Shaman hex. Morale bonus.

![]() |

Shamen do get a few hexes unique to the class, as well as hexes that they can only get from a chosen spirit. Halali's archetype lets her switch spirit every day, as well as choose hexes from the variable spirits.
Fury's not bad - better with Chant (Shaman equivalent of Cackle). But I think I'd prefer to debuff an enemy's AC so that everyone gets better at hitting it. I like Metal Curse from the Stone spirit for example: no save, no SR. If fact avoiding Spell Resistance is one of the best things about hexes.
Given that Halali plans to Prestige Class later, I'll mostly avoid hexes that have saving throws because I won't be able to push the DC very high.

![]() |

Once you have hexes that can be extended Chant or Cackle it is worth taking. Give then the -2 to AC, then saves, then.... Most battles don't last that long though!

A group buff or enemy debuff seems better for y’all. If you had a smaller group and only 1-2 big hitters, then some solo buffs to make those two stronger would make a lot more sense.
I’m hoping with another level all your characters will gain more things that help differentiate themselves from each other too. Up till now and other than Ander/Bilos using ranged stuff, it’s pretty much been ‘swarm and hit the baddies’.

Or swarm and repeatedly miss the baddies for some of us!

4th level is a nice boost for me. Another BAB and +1 to two saves. Fervor increases to 2d6 and I can channel to heal with it. PLus as a swift I can start enchanting my sacred weapon. By then I should have a magic weapon so I can start adding things like flaming or even Bane. Oh, and second level spells too.

Spontaneous casting means Bilos doesn't get more interesting spells, but each of the phantoms gets a new feat.

I have a busy week or two coming up (and behind me, ugh). But I will start taking a look at options for us to play. I’d love to run a sanctioned part of an AP or another 3xp module, but I just can’t right now.
I know you all have played a ton of the scenarios out there, so check your replay status and let me know if that is an option when I list my options.

![]() |

I have plenty of replays available if needed, no worries on that count.
Same here!

I say pick whatever is fun!
But.... Pardon my ignorance of PFS play. Where do I find available replay information?

But.... Pardon my ignorance of PFS play. Where do I find available replay information?
If you click on My Account -> Organised Play -> GM/Event Coordinator, you should see your PFS1e replays, as well as any 2e / Starfinder Achievement Points. You may need to click on a Sync or Refresh button.

![]() |

Hmm.... It doesn't say anything about replays so I guess I don't have any. Does that mean I can't play?
It did say that my points were out of sync and I had to press the Refresh Points button. Then it said:
You have 0.00 tables of credit for Pathfinder Society Second Edition.
You have 0.00 tables of credit for Starfinder Society.
You have 0.00 tables of credit for Pathfinder Society First Edition.
You have 80.00 Achievement Points - PFS(2ed). ???? Second Edition?
You have 80.00 Achievement Points - SFS. ???? I haven't played any Starfinder. Haven't even read the rules.

![]() |

1e replays come from two sources. The first is GM credit. The second, and usually bigger source, is an allocation that was given to all players when 2e PFS began.
This latter allocation was based on the numnber of tables played at that specific point in time. So anyone who started PFS around that time probably would not have any replays allocated, or would have very few.
However, that would also mean that you've probably played a lot fewer scenarios than some of us 'older' players.
Everyone got 80AP for 2e and Starfinder as a freebie to allow use of some of the rarer races - even if you never played those games.

GM TOP |

Yeah, odds are pretty good that if you don’t have replays then you won’t have played many scenarios and won’t need replays. I will do my darndest to not run anything that excludes someone completely.
And also minimize replays needed too.

![]() |

I think we get 1 replay for every 50 scenarios, so you may just not have played as much as the rest of us.
I have a PFS Tracker that is up to date for 1e. I also have plenty of replays available.

I’m happy you all are sticking with this. The pace will improve. To start our next game I really just need about 1-2 hours to sit in front of a computer. An hour to figure out our options and an hour later to set up a game.
I can’t do it from my phone, obviously.
Buuuut… an hour to chill at home is not in the cards right now. Frantically working on finishing up our bathroom renovation, to get it up and running before the next weekend. Hopefully all this effort will get me in a better time place after that.

Not stressing, just updating!
(And ranting a tad maybe, lol)
Good call Dran, I do need to go potty. :P

We'll be here when you're ready!

GM TOP |

Alright, I have a few options I'd like you all to consider.
I'm starting my search using PFS Sessiontracker. It only includes cmlobue, Gerald, grimdog73 & supervillan though. AND I'm sure those four (other than cmlobue who just said his was updated) may not have the most current info up there.
I'm also limiting my search to level 3-7 scenarios, since the last time I did a search it was level 2 stuff (so 1-5 and 1-7 would have shown up) and all those got shot down.
That said, if we don't find anything I can toss in the 1-5 and 1-7 stuff and see if anyone wants to replay one of them.
Here we go!
#9-05 Call of the Copper Gate
#9-15 The Bloodcove Blockade
#10-05 Mysteries Under Moonlight, Part I: Testament of Souls
#5-06 You Have What You Hold

![]() |

I'm good for 9-05.
I'm currently playing 9-15 and wouldn't want to have two characters running through it at the same time.
I'd like to do 10-05 and its sequel sometime, never played them.
I'd like to play 5-06 with a different character ideally (but could replay it if the opportunity comes up), and that PC is level 6 and currently in another game.
