Alright, Kiroh is back and ready to Redeem! His personality will be a little different, but his playstyle is what is mostly changing. I was barely able to afford Full Plate, so I'll get the full experience as a Redeemer here.

My AC went up 4 points, when my shield is up, and my Reach went away. I'll still give DR to an ally each turn but I won't get the extra attack. The enemy that triggers the DR will get debuffed with Enfeeble 2.

Well to roll a crit for a DC 14 you should roll 24.

Kiroh isn't so good at Day jobs, I'll do the normal one. Task Level 0, DC 14

Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

That's a crit, so I get Task Level 1 money. 2 SP x 8 days = 16 SP.

Right?

A 19 would just be a success, so 5cp x 8days = 4sp.

And actually good thing you didn't roll for Society Connections, because I typo'd your Task Level as 4, but it's actually 3.

Everyone else is 4, because it's Level+2 (when the Chronicle was earned), so I must have just been on auto-pilot while filling out the sheets.

Kiroh, you should definitely use that boon before you hit level 3 or it won't grant much benefit. Not that it is a huge benefit anyway, but even failing a level 3 task gives more money than a success at level 0.

I started PFS1 at the beginning of Season 4, when Tengu became legal, and my first PC was a Tengu Rogue. But the group I played with back then thought Tengu were silly.

I played him as rather bird-brained, for comedic effect. So when my adventuring buddies convinced him that rubbing himself in paprika, pepper and salt worked like cologne, he went along with it.

No wonder the purple worm decided to swallow him first during Eyes of the Ten...

Thanks for the advice! I'll use it for this scenario. New Kiroh has Crafting so his roll should be a little higher anyway.

Oh there's an idea I hadn't considered before. Kiroh could do Bastard Sword and Shield. Then, when/if she shield gets broken during a fight, you just switch from 1H to 2H.

I seriously considered Bastard Sword, it was in my top three. I ended up going with 9 ring sword to start because I wanted to keep a Combat Maneuver as an option. But I think I'll purchase both if I continue with this build to have the options.

My barbarian tank (lvl 7) has two primary weapons as well. It allows him to keep quite a bit of versatility when it comes to DR penetration.

If you don't normally, give your mail carrier some extra love this holiday season. This job is exhausting.

I've been working pretty much back to back twelve hour days with barely any time to even do laundry. I don't even have a free moment to check my phone at work.

I'm going to have to drastically slow down the pace, here. I'm just now laying down for the night because I have to get up again in 8 hours and start the whole process over again.

I will endeavor to put up a post tomorrow. Even if it means typing while my feet are soaking. But I'm going to be really slow to update these next several weeks.

My last three days were 14, 14 and 13 hours and I don't anticipate anything getting easier until after the holidays.

For me it’s simply nice to let us know. But I really would prefer to continue with you and with this party. I play elsewhere with other characters. I would like to keep this party.

This is a very enjoyable group, I see no reason (especially slow play) to go elsewhere.

I have a few games that have dragged a bit lately, due to players with lots of school work to finish, heavy holiday work schedules, or just being busy. It is no issue at all, I'll wait calmly. :D

I mean, I made this character for this game so... I'm good with whatever pace works for you! lol

I too am good with the slower pace and continuing on. I think I just hit level three probably, I’ll get him updated this week.

Leveled up, yay 2nd level spells and heals and some boosted cantrips of doooooom!

I also grabbed Bless so should be able to buff everyone for one fight, plus my usual Magic Weapon on Kiroh and Guidances for another fight. I've also got Dispel Magic, Resist Energy and a Scroll of Restoration (school freebie) for some utility.

Alright, I really like the Redeemer playstyle so I'll be sticking with the Shield over the Paladin's reach weapon. Thanks everyone for recommending it!

I'll be hitting Level 2 which... doesn't do much. I'm taking a Fighter Archetype, which doesn't really do anything now but will unlock more shield options later. I got a proficiency in Acrobatics this level, which is decent.

Not much differences for me at lvl 3 except I can't be flanked anymore and my spells should be more effective. But need to reach lvl 4 to get more spells.

I'm going back to college in a few weeks, and transitioning jobs again, because my current 60+hrs/week schedule doesn't allow for school. I foresee my already limited availability plummeting further, so I must conclude our adventure here.

It's been a blast GMing for you all. And thank you, Kiroh, for stepping in to fill our missing slot.

My aim is to graduate next Spring. Maybe by then I'll be able to pick up GMing again ^_^
