Are our limited fire weapons getting replenished between combat rounds? If not, then we only have two left.
The scenario suggests to me that there is not time between waves to replenish weapons. So, you have to fight with what you have left. This allows the tables to rack up successes early on, but making the later successes more difficult to obtain.

SFS Legal Holy
Source Starfinder Core Rulebook pg. 194
Item Level 2
A weapon with the holy fusion becomes blessed with divine energy from a good deity. Any attacks with the fused weapon are good-aligned. Damage from the weapon bypasses DR/good and ignores the energy resistance of evil dragons, evil outsiders, and evil undead. The holy fusion cannot be added to weapons that have the unholy fusion.

Thanks for pointing that out. I will adjust accordingly.

Thanks for botting me. I am traveling and ended up in a place without WiFi yesterday. I am in complete agreement with the action taken.
Carson of Downton |
If botted, Carson would continue Get'Em and Advanced Semi-Auto Pistol attacks. I am still on the road until tomorrow night.
GM Valen |
I don't know which of you offended the Random Number Generator, but I suggest you apologize soon! ; P
Carson of Downton |
Oh Great and Powerful Random Number Generator, we humbly beseech you to aid our quests. We apologize for any offense we may have caused you.

THE Umbral Dawn |
Just to be clear, while I was hoping to win this fight I am voting to end it because I've done enough specials to understand the time constraints these scenarios have.
And also wanted to point out that one of the boons we received gives us a free Mk 1 healing serum and on more serum equal to our party average level. A Mk 2 healing serum is level 5; which makes it a good choice. I honestly think that's what I would have gone with. So if you're hurt, make sure to use this boon and if you're not hurt consider donating it to a party member that is <cough> <cough>.
EDIT: Okay, its actually a serum OR a grenade. So if you use grenades (I know envoys and mechanics are proficient) that would also be a great choice.
Carson of Downton |
I will take whatever items the party wants to give me, and follow the rest of the party.
I didn't get hit, so any healing items I would be distributed can be used for the injured.

May I suggest you use this and/or pass it along? Some of the other tables could likely benefit from it. If you can boost it all the better.
Carson of Downton |
Carson will try to boost the Aid token.
Culture Check to boost the aid token: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
It think that will suffice?
THE Umbral Dawn |
Yes, the serums and/or grenades are for everybody to pick one. So 1 mk 1 serum and 1 level 5 grenade or serum per player. Considering how tough the last fight was, we should be taking evey advantage we've earned. And I'd take anyone's free mk 1 healing serums, since Umbral is still down 15 hp.

True! We are just hours away from the conclusion, but this fight is essentially all but over. One more good hit could end it before the villain even gets a second shot.

Wow, that was a fast run. Thanks for GMing--I had fun!
(my one bit of feedback to the overseer of the special would be to allot a bit more time before transitioning scenes; we all posted regularly but never seemed to manage to finish an encounter before having to move on to another one)

These specials are tricky, so thank you GM Valen for running this so well. I have a hard time running a casual game, and these seem darn near impossible to manage, and you did it well.
Carson of Downton |
Thanks again for running. This is not an easy scenario to run, and I know it requires lots of preparation.
GM Valen |
Thank you all for a fun run and also for your kind words. They are much appreciated. I realize that things felt rushed, particularly near the end, but that is somewhat the nature of the beast for specials. High-level combat almost inevitably takes longer than low-level combat. That, and as there were relatively few tables participating in the special, successes kept coming fast. This special, like most others, is timed, so the overseer does not have the flexibility to extend any part. For PbP, there is a set formula for converting minutes and hours for a special into days for these specials, but we are obligated to stick to them.
Still, I hope you had fun and, if you want to explore more of the missions, it can be replayed by a different PC at Tiers 1-4.
I am in the process of printing up chronicles and plan to use RPG Chronicles because it is so quick and easy. Please check the link below and make sure that the information that I have for your PC is correct:
If you are unable to edit the information (which is likely the case), then please post any revisions/additions here or PM them to me and I will update them before issuing the chronicles.
I will send out the chronicles in about 48 hours or once I have heard from each player, whichever is sooner.
Officer Swizzers |
Looks good, thanks!
Carson of Downton |
All I can see is the character name, class, level and Faction. Thise are correct
Just to make sure you have it

Also, I too wanted to thank you for GMing! I've done a few of these specials (but never by PbP) and they are a lot of work! I think you did a great job with moving things along and really appreciate the game.
GM Valen |
Chronicles can now be found here! The game has been reported for Gameday X and you should see your ACP shortly once the Gameday X VO team gets the games reported.
I included Day Job rolls on the chronicle sheets per above, but will note that recording Day Job results now technically are in the hands of the players per the most recent version of the OP guide for SFS.
Please let me know of any changes or corrects that may need to be made. I will mark this thread inactive once I have heard back from all the players or one week, whichever comes first.
Thank you all again for a great run and I look forward to sharing a table with each of you in the future!
Officer Swizzers |
All good! Thanks!
THE Umbral Dawn |
I did have a question, because I haven't been playing a lot of Starfinder and I am behind on some of the Organized Play rules changes that have been made. I saw that the fame amount was blank, but with things moving over more to achievement points and the boons being on the Paizo site, is that intentional. Otherwise, it looks good!
Thanks!

Correct no more fame as Org Play has incorporated Achievement Points into Starfinder as well. You have until Dec 31st to spend the Fame you have currently earned.
