Hmm...didn't realize I hadn't created this earlier.
Just a heads up, I'll be on vacation until Tuesday so I likely won't be able to post.

Apologies for not posting recently. I took my kid out of town and have been playing catchup since.

Btw, I have family visiting this weekend. Posting will be a little limited through Monday but I'll do my best to keep up.

I didn't realize this was happening. I just got back from vacation and saw a DM from Ebonfist
I am happy to sit this out- as I am not way behind in the gameplay.
Sorry guys!

Sorry guys!
Please don't sit it out. You haven't missed too much to get a chronicle and this is the last scenario in my Hao Jin Saga.
I think you are the only player who has been with me for the whole run (with Watery Soup being a close second) and I would hate for you to miss out on the last one.

Sorry guys. Just got back from a vacation without the laptop.
As it turns out, my new job has been wonderful for a lot of things- first and foremost for life/work balance and almost never having to do work at home after hours. But, that also means I will go several days without picking up my laptop at home... and I have quickly lost track of my online games.
Thanks for tolerating my absence for the end of the series (and the last one as well). I know as a player that is hard

My kid starts her week-long spring break today and we are going to visit Grandma. I'll still be able to post but likely with reduced frequency until after April 13. I appreciate your understanding.
Nadya Petrovna Fyodor

Nadya could conceivably get close enough to Ioavin to use her Reach rod to cast Breath of Life on him, but I don't think 25hp will be enough to stabilize him, and the next person to hit Suliji will just indirectly kill him again. She could conceivably use a Raise Dead on him after the battle, though that would involve 5000g worth of mats, which seems like a lot to save some Aspis lout who may very well turn around and betray us. Suliji is not wrong about these Aspis Patrons being awful people. So I think for the purposes of this combat, Nadya won't make any effort to save the hostage. Once Suliji is dead we can reassess things and see if it's to our advantage to raise him.
Diazepane Ketal
|
My apologies for the delay - I had to "do the math" with respect to Greater Dispel Magic.
Diazepane's bombs are supernatural, so they're unaffected. However, he is usually under the effects of ant haul in order to carry all his items. Without it, he has medium encumbrance, and a +3 DEX cap.
Nothing else is affected, so I'll take the -1 to AC rather than dropping the backpack (which would un-encumber him).
EbonFist
I know she's (probably) going to die, and soon, but as someone who likes Occultists way too much, I'm going to be using Suliji as a template for one or two of my characters.
EbonFist
Hey guys, this is the last encounter but Suliji is shifty (although, not Shifty) so it may run long and reporting time for Outpost is rapidly approaching.
Sooo...if everyone can provide the following information, I can get the game reported in time.

There's still some RP and exposition to be done, but I'm going to go ahead and report this game and get the Chronicle Sheets started.

I wanted to give a big, and public, thank you for running this.
EbonFist has been running this campaign for more than 5 years now, spanning 25-ish scenarios, most of them having to do with the Hao Jin Tapestry. I was a random signup during GameDay VIII in 2019 (!), with Kal'Ryon as one of the other PCs (!!). Of the 61 PFS1 scenarios I've played or GMed, 23 have been as a PC in this series.
I really appreciate the time and commitment you (EbonFist) have taken, and you've been one of my inspirations to run more "informal series" scenarios, both in PFS1 (the Valais Durant scenarios, the Blakros scenarios, and the Nidal scenarios) and PFS2.
It's been a fun ride.

I love the Blakros scenarios. Blakros Matrimony might be my favorite scenario. Just like the GM is planning to make an occultist based on Suliji, I actually made a Pendleton Blakros occultist — after he was saved in the season 6 scenario by the Pathfinders, it inspired him to join up, and who better than a Blakros to have access to marvelous artifacts. Occultists are way fun.

I couldn't agree more. Kal is the only pf1 character I have taken > level 8... entirely because of this long running campaign. A consistent and enjoyable game for >5 years is quite the accomplishment and that is all on the GM.
EbonFist
Thank you both for the kind words. I don't know if I realized what an undertaking this was going to be when I started, especially as the scenarios took longer and longer to complete (for reference, the first one took just over 3 weeks and this one took 10.)
My original idea was to have the same group of characters go through the entire arc that I had planned (namely each scenario that went into the back story for the Hao-Jin Cataclysm.)
Given how much movement there is amongst players, that seems incredibly naive, now.
But, I'm very pleased that at least one player - RxGus- and one character - Kal'Ryon - played the first, last and every scenario in between.
And having Watery Soup join us, first as Bocke, then Diazepane has also been great.
I've really enjoyed watching both characters grow and getting to know the players.
Likewise, having Shifty, Otha and htrotter join us were nice additions of people I knew around the forums and trusted to make the story we were creating even better.
And, of course, thanks to Abraham Z for taking up the last slot in this last run to finish the Hao Jin Saga up.
Again, thank you all for participating and helping me make this hairbrained scheme come through. It sounds corny but is true - the joy was in the journey and the real treasure was the friends I made along the way.
Now, I just have to figure out what to do next. Should I stick with 1e? Switch to 2e? Go to Starfinder 1e just in time for it to be replaced by 2e?
And thanks to you all, again!

Yuri, have you played any of the other All for Immortality scenarios?

While I came in late to this series, I really enjoyed it and am grateful EF let me join…
Nadya mentioned the Blakros Matrimony and I agree; it was one of my favorites as well. My -1 almost got killed twice in that one, knocked down to 2 hp in one encounter and knocked unconscious in another. Although, while it was very exciting, I might’ve had a slightly different reaction had he died…

Yuri, have you played any of the other All for Immortality scenarios?
No, I played the whole sequence with another character and used a replay for Yuri to play this one.

Thanks for running, GM!

Alright Gents. HERE are your chronicles.
Let me know if you see any errors.
Thanks again to everyone for playing, both this adventure and all the others.
I'll see you around the boards!

Hi GM, it looks like you gave Yuri the out of tier gold but he's level 15 so he should be in the high tier I think. (Unless, were we playing down?) Thanks.
Diazepane Ketal

So ... Diazepane has 40,000 gp from the All for Immortality series, and unless something unexpected happens, this will be his last adventure.
Does anyone have any suggestions on an interesting capstone item for him to buy? Spectacularly wasteful suggestions will not be ignored.

Great games all!
Was great to bust Svetlana out, and I have another character about to hit Eyes of the Ten finally
Still chasing Passing the torch series
* Who Wears the Mask
* Who Speaks for the Ten
And these scenarios:
* Betrayal in the Bones
* The Rasping Rebirth
* Unleashing the Untouchable
EbonFist
@Yuri - we were playing low tier.
@Diazepane - there are some pretty cool items on the Serpents Fall Chronicle sheet. Knowing that Diazepane was retiring, I was considering having Farabellus pull him aside and ask him to hunt down Suliji independently so the Charlatan's badge might be cool.
@Svetlana - I think I'm going to move on to running some 2e for a while. I'm definitely burnt out on high level 1e, for the moment. While I was running this game I also stepped in to finish out a run of Who Speaks for the Ten and it was a little much. BUT, I also know the scenario and have a couple characters in range so I'll think about running Passing the Torch.

My chronicle looks good EF! Thanks again for inviting me and running these scenarios, it was fun! I’ll see you in the Reign of Winter AP; hope we can get past Rasputin and into the last book!
My -1 was in the Passing the Torch run that EF stepped in and finished the Who Speaks for the Ten scenario for us (thanks again for that, EF). Those were fun and challenging and my -1 is now 17th level and in semi-retirement. At least until I can find someone willing to run the Witchwar Legacy; that’s the only non-AP scenario/module left that he can play now (and, since I’m playing the Reign of Winter AP, this seems the perfect retirement module as it has ties directly to that)…
Svetlana, I might be running a seeker module after summer’s over; TOZ mentioned wanting to play a Tomb of the Iron Medusa session and I told him I might run that later on. I ran it a couple of years ago so I’ve got all the slides ready…but it’s a pretty long module. I’ll let you know if I end up running that…
Enjoyed playing with everyone!

Ah thanks for clarifying that GM. Funny that I went through the whole adventure without realizing that we were low tier!
