Badly injured by the ram, Trevor clutches his holy symbol and sends forth a selective channel energy, affecting himself, Malphene, and Jalania.
You have that backwards. For selective channel, you can choose a number of targets (up to your Cha modifier +3) to Not be affected. You can heal everyone in the 30-ft. radius burst, which includes Henrika, Julania, Trevor, Malphene, Jack, and even Icabhod. You can exclude Officer #5 plus 2 more. But the rest don't matter because they don't have any damage at the moment.

Trevor Kastner |

Trevor's player is at work and can't access Google Slides. If Traitor #5 is still up, Malphene will attack once more, and Trevor will do another selective channel energy.

GM Peachbottom |

MW Longsword + haste + bless + Touch of Good (Sp): 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 26
Dmg.: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8MW Longsword + haste + bless + Touch of Good (Sp): 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 17
Dmg.: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
It doesn't matter because the second attack is a miss regardless, but I'll still explain. You only get the bonus attack from haste if you take the full attack action.
Even though Malphene only moved 5 ft., she has to use a move action to get there. She can't take the 5-ft. step action for two reasons. One, you can't 5-ft. step on difficult terrain. And two, even though you can climb as part of your move, you can't 5-ft. step while climbing.

Trevor Kastner |

Trevor and Malphene accept whatever decision GM Peachbottom makes.

GM Peachbottom |

Yes. Jack and the Hound Archon are not in the stinking cloud. The desert drake is within, so the drake has concealment. The cloud that the drake currently is in will vanish in 2 rounds if the fight lasts that long.
Stinking cloud creates a bank of fog like that created by fog cloud, except that the vapors are nauseating. Living creatures in the cloud become nauseated. This condition lasts as long as the creature is in the cloud and for 1d4+1 rounds after it leaves. (Roll separately for each nauseated character.) Any creature that succeeds on its save but remains in the cloud must continue to save each round on your turn. This is a poison effect. The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can’t use sight to locate the target).
The rectangle on the right side of the drake, is not really there. To the right, is just open field.
Does that answer the question?

Xallis Livara |

I'm really enjoying how Xallis is showing off his flexibility with those summon spells.
Not that I don't enjoy everyone else's characters too. <3
I've hit the levels where the summon spells start to get really fun!
I was half tempted to summon an earth elemental to mock Jondus' weapon, but the hound archon is the "accept no substitutes" front liner for summons and you never know how a fight like that can turn.

GM Peachbottom |

Since I'm next to Jack, I'm assuming I can see him go down? I will correct my post if I'm incorrect.
Casting Stabilize on Jack. Can I start to drag his unconscious body back to safety?
Yes, in clouds like obscuring mist you can see adjacent creatures (just with concealment), so you can see Jack. And if you want to drag Jack, I'll let you do it as part of your movement at half speed.

Awesome, thanks. I'm on mobile at the moment, so I will update my position later today. Or someone can move me 15 feet back down the hall.

Henrika Karthis |

Can Henrika see the drake above the multiple cloud effects? (I'm trying to decide if I can have her attack with a ranged weapon.) I guess it had a line of effect on Tychus, but that might have been without line of sight.

I'll say yes, Henrika can see it and make a ranged attack. It is above both the cloud effects.
It didn't need a line of sight for its breath weapon (but it probably did have one). It didn't target a specific person, just burst around a spot on the ground.

GM Peachbottom |

Jack has displacement up too. Also Mesmeric Mirror implanted. :)
Traitorous officer's attack concealment (high is good): 1d100 ⇒ 6
I think that means the officer misses Jack.
Yes, ok. I will update. The attack on Jack misses.
Can I use one of Henrika's hero points to allow him a reroll?
Yes, hero points are shared with your cohorts.
With the penalty for charging, that might hit?
The officers are the cavalier class with an ability that they don't take an AC penalty for charging while mounted.

Falchion Jack |

The officers are the cavalier class with an ability that they don't take an AC penalty for charging while mounted.
Ah, yes. This fight is right in their wheelhouse!

Henrika Karthis |

I believe Henrika can take a five-foot step closer to Fathrie after the dragon falls, which means she would threaten Fathrie as she stands-- and possibly get an attack of opportunity.

GM Peachbottom |

Round 3 Okay. We're gonna try something crazy. Let's see if it works.
With the horse's hooves dangerous close to her head, Malphene, in her injured state, felt around the ground near her for her new longsword.
I'll continue Malphene's turn once I get the ruling from GM Peachbottom.
I'm not 100% sure what you are asking.
Are you asking if Malphene can retrieve her weapon? Her weapon is in her space. She can pick it up and attack with it.
Henrika Karthis |

Henrika level 8:
• +9 hp
• +1 BAB (+6)
• +1 Reflex/Will
• +1 CL
• +1 2nd-level spell slot, +1 3rd-level spell slot
• +1 3rd-level spell known (confusion)
• +1 mesmerist trick (Astounding Avoidance)
• consummate liar increase (+4)
• hypnotic stare upgrade (-3)
• painful stare increase (+5)
• +1 Str (+4)
• skills: +1 Acrobatics, Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (local), Knowledge (nature), Knowledge (nobility), Perception, Perform (oratory), Sense Motive*, Stealth
Henrika has reached the point where her total bonus for Lore (common fey) and Lore (noble fey) are both less than it would be if she had put those points in Knowledge (nature) instead. Would she be able to retrain those ranks, to consolidate all of her knowledge about fey into one skill?
Having reached BAB +6, she can now make two iterative attacks as a full attack action. However, she will probably continue to feint as a move action instead since Surprise Strike usually lets her make a second attack anyway (only against a target under her hypnotic stare).
Falchion Jack level 6:
• +8 hp
• +1 BAB (+6)
• +1 Fortitude/Reflex/Will
• bonus feat (Greater Dirty Trick)
• sidestep +2
• skills: +1 Acrobatics, Handle Animal, Perception, Profession (soldier), Ride, Stealth
With Jack also reaching +6 BAB, he has an interesting tactical dilemma. He could attack twice with his signature falchion as a full attack, or he could perform one dirty trick maneuver as a standard action (or at the end of a charge). But with Greater Dirty Trick making his conditions last longer and require a standard action to remove, I suspect that over time the dirty trick will have a greater effect with more consistency, since it will usually help the others in our party deal more damage. Still, I will probably have him full attack most of the time anyway. :P

Yes, I'm okay with you retrain those skills. Fey isn't going to come up much in this campaign, so Knowledge (nature) should cover anything you need to know about them if you encounter any.
Did some of your other skills change too?
I had that Henrika had Knowledge (dungeoneering), Sleight of Hand, and Use Magic Device with ranks in them.
And Jack had Intimidate, Sleight of Hand, and Survival.
But I don't see those on your character sheets anymore.
Did I miss something? I like to keep track of your skill ranks so it is an easy reference for me to see what you can do or for when I need to roll something. If you changed them, that's okay. I'm just getting confused trying to line things up.

GM Peachbottom |

Ok. Assuming you sell at some point during your week of downtime, you each are getting 7,376 gold, 3 silver, and 1 copper.
This is for each of the 5 PCs. Cohorts don't get their own share. They share with their owner.
Also, Yanmass has a purchase limit of 37,500. So I sold treasure up to that point. You still have a little bit of treasure that can be sold in the following week.
If you want to purchase anything new, you'll have time to do so.
Minor: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 4) = 11
Medium: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6
Major: 1d6 ⇒ 2
This week, Yanmass has 11 minor items (0-7,999 gp), 6 medium items (8,000-29,999 gp), and 2 major items (30,000+) available for sale.
That should be more than plenty.

Henrika Karthis |

Oh, whoops! I thought I was just consolidating the fey skills, but it looks like I changed others in my reference document when I was figuring out where the new skill points would be going to, and now I don't have saved what they looked like before. Sorry! :(
I think I had been imagining that Jack had taught Henrika Sleight of Hand, but I'm realizing that she wouldn't approve of that any more, so both she and Jack would want to learn to put their skills to better uses. Jack is a good soldier, despite his roguish tendencies, so I thought he should have good soldier skills (Handle Animal, Ride) instead. I remember asking last time we leveled up if I could move Hen's ranks from Use Magic Device to something else because she was never using it. Likewise, I think I had her take Knowledge (dungeoneering) right after our adventure under the Senate building, but it seems to me that she has been much more focused on (nature) since then.
As a group, we're not very optimized for skills-- like, several of us tend to cover the same set of skills. If there's a gaping hole in our competencies, I'm willing to try and justify Henrika or Jack taking it, but if we can identify what we are lacking and discuss it we might find that another character is better suited. Survival is a class skill for Jack, which is probably why I took it before, so if we need it I can probably figure out how he can take it.

Henrika Karthis |

I'd like for Henrika to have Koriana's blade enchanted with the deceptive ability. That's a +1 bonus. Is that possible for relics? I think maybe Tychus modified Dignity's Barb, so perhaps it is, but what would it cost? Do we just ignore the automatic enhancement bonus (making it cost 2,000 gp) or does it cost the equivalent of making the sword +5 (50,000 gp)? If the former, I think she would be able to afford adding the keen ability too (an additional 6,000 gp), which seems to me a good investment.

Keeping track of your skills is more for my reference, not to call you out on anything. If you are happy with how it is on your character sheet now, I'll just refer to that. I don't really care if it has changed. If you're happy, I'm happy.
And as for the party's skills, there is some overlap but I'd say you actually have most of your bases covered.
If I had to pick one area that I think the party is lacking the most, I'd say Spellcraft. At 7th level, Xallis had +12 in Spellcraft. And then Trevor had +5 and Tychus +4. While not "necessary", it is handy, since I make you use Spellcraft to identify magic items and such.

I think maybe Tychus modified Dignity's Barb, so perhaps it is, but what would it cost? There's no official answer to that, so it's up to me to decide how that'd work.
At max, Koriana's Blade goes up to a +4 defending longsword with the rest of the bonuses being unique abilities related to the gems in the pommel, so there is room for additional improvement.
Like with Dignity's Barb, I would like to encourage to use of the relics, so I'm okay with you making additional enhancements to give it a personal touch. Since it does have a semi-automatic progression, I'll let you add you enhancements off of the base weapon, which was a +2 defending longsword ie. a +3 weapon. So to add deceptive would be going from a +3 to +4 weapon, which would be 14,000 gp. Adding keen afterwards would then be going from a +4 to +5.
So I'm letting you ignore the +1 advancement bump the weapon got from +2 defending to +3 defending. And the same when it eventually goes from a +3 defending to a +4 defending. Does that sound fair?
It's already a powerful weapon. It think it would be too cheap to let you start adding enhancements at 2,000 gp.

Sure, that seems fair, and I think you're right it's appropriate. I'll have to wait a while before Henrika can afford to upgrade it then, so I'll look at what else she can spend our filthy lucre on instead. :)
I'm thinking she will sell the belt of mighty constitution +2 she's currently wearing (+2,000 gp) and buy a belt of physical might (Str/Con) +2 (10,000 gp). She can always use more Strength. However, if there's a way to keep the belt and give it to Jack, I'd like to do that, because he apparently needs more hit points. ;) Henrika seems to have a +1 silver dagger that we could sell, so maybe after the next week when we sell the other things with that she will have enough to buy her new belt without hawking the old one?

There's also more treasure to be gained. You'll get that extra 2,000 in no time.
And speaking of relics, I believe Xallis is the only one without a relic right now. There are two new relics to be found in this chapter. One of them I think Xallis might like. You'll come across them eventually.
There are also two triumphs to achieve to enhance your relics within this chapter too.

Henrika will buy the belt of physical might (9,000 gp) and four more potions of bull's strength (270 gp each, 1,080 gp total) for Jack. She will give him the belt of mighty constitution.
I'd like to see the luckstone go wherever it will do the most good. Who among us tends to make the most saves and skill checks? Or has been struggling to keep up with saves? None of us has the Fate's Favored trait, which would be an obvious choice. I suppose we could always just sell it and have a little more money. Of course if no one else really wants it, Henrika could certainly make use of it to help boost her poor Fortitude save and all her Bluff checks, and I've been playing that she has a particular interest in pretty rocks because of the gems on Koriana's blade, so at least it would be somewhat thematic.
I'm still trying to decide what to do with Henrika's Persona phase. What's the limit on Persona Facet Ranks? It looks like it's level, but Henrika somehow already has a rank of 8. Can she try to increase Heroism to 9? If not, I guess I should try to increase her Charm. Or wait, do we know where we are going next? I thought sending agents out to scout locations has gotten us some good information the other times we've done that, so maybe I should do that again instead.

GM, I think you must have missed my question earlier-- not surprising, since I edited it into my post. Can Henrika try to increase her Heroism facet to 9 now that she's gained another level?

Sorry. Got called into work. I'll post and update on Sunday.

GM Peachbottom |

GM, I think you must have missed my question earlier-- not surprising, since I edited it into my post. Can Henrika try to increase her Heroism facet to 9 now that she's gained another level?
Yes, if you can roll high enough. Its DC 33 to get to 9.
Awesome. I believe it is a hidden GM roll.
Ok, I'll roll once I get other people's actions.

Xallis Livara |

Shopping and inventory! Let's start filling out those chump change "must-have" items.
1st level pearl of power for Julania: 1,000g (900 discounted)
Dark Blue Rhomboid (Cracked) Ioun Stone for Navia: 400g (360 discounted)
Dusty Rose Prism (Cracked) Ioun Stone for Xallis: 500g (450 discounted)
Also, I'm wondering if I would somehow be able to contact the local Pathfinder lodge to try and buy some scrolls of Aram Zey's Focus to make sure we'll be able to disable magical traps. I know it's a faction specific spell, and Xallis asking is the rough equivalent of trying to get an employee discount at a place you quiet 2 years ago and haven't called since. But it's always worth a shot.
Probably should have spent my Persona phase on that haha
Oh, and if possible I'd like to spend my trait for free weekly consumables to get a scroll of lesser restoration. That seems like something that would be good for the party.
And speaking of relics, I believe Xallis is the only one without a relic right now. There are two new relics to be found in this chapter. One of them I think Xallis might like. You'll come across them eventually.
Ohh, exciting! And heck, even if it doesn't work, I feel like my eidolon fills the relic fantasy pretty well!

Julania Livara |

Also, Julania has a trait that boosts all Luck bonuses by +1, so the luckstone might work with her well. But it's also a pretty strong item and it might serve the party much better better on a main PC instead of a cohort.
