AKA Some office reshuffle might be needed once the new blood arrives.

Also I dropped a note in the new-body threat as Thumbs alignment was drawing comment.

That was well replied. Honestly can't think of any genuinely evil thing Pollux has done so far, and everyone's in the group more or less morally challenged.

Also, the most important thing is no PvP inside the party!

Btw, I just want to take this opportunity this say that even though I role-play Litsy as not liking Pollux very much (yet), given the fact that having a hard time trusting others is part of her characterization and he's, you know, an evil witch with a rat familiar who dresses weird and speaks in riddles, I really don't want her bad temper to rain on anyone's parade.

One of the #1 Rules of role-playing games is to Never Ruin Another Player's Fun, and I intend to abide to it 100%, so if you want me to tone down Litsy's crabbiness and teasing, just let me know!

No PVP. (tiny rat pinky swear)

No need to tone down anything. Disliking/Distrusting Pollux just means you are paying attention. :7)

As for upgrading teams that is always an option. It allows more flexibility but it comes with a cost. To upgrade the street performers is 50gp while upgrading the tengu sister is 200gp. It is an option if we want to spend the money. We have that much in the rebellion coffers right now.

Maybe we can update the street performers? It's rather cheap.

Male Orc Expert 5

Ive consolidated the entries a bit on my end but i want you guys to look at the recruitment and message me your thoughts. It looks to be a mix of warpriests and i quisitors with an oracle and cleric or two so the actual class is less important than thw character to me.

Variel Nightstorm wrote:

As for a promotion what role would you like with Borgan gone? We can definitely reshuffle the positions around with new blood. Are you thinking the Sentinel or wanting something else?

Well depending on who we get I think Thumbs has the stats to support Spymaster or Sentinel. Mind you we need a Requiter if we want to see level 3 and a Strategist for the extra action is almost mandatory.

Maybe we can talk Tark into taking 2 of the applicants. It would be nive to be able to fill all the offices.

Male Orc Expert 5

Are the rest of you in support of getting 2? We initially started with 6 so im not opposed.

Also if tiny wants to shre their thoughts in pms i think we have who we want.

Found an old thread where someone was asking the same question. Might be useful.

Might also want to look at Chaosium's Roman stuff I'm sure it would adapt pretty easy.

Don't we get a 3rd action because of Beorn the Strategist?

Could always use another recruit or whatever the Sisters can do.
What can the Sisters do anyway?

Apart from entertaining an attic full of sweaty men, valuable service though that is.

They work as Sneaks, I think?

Tiny Litsy wrote:

OOooooo We could have them set a cache in the docks. A barrel in a alley with enough low class used street clothes for the group, some cash, and a couple or five healing potions. The idea is for a team (or us) on the run to be able to change appearance rapidly. The Sisters can then recover the swapped gear and reset the cache later.

Sound good? Or can we not afford this? We should come up with a standard small cache inventory so we can dot a few in each district and safe-house.

I also recommend upgrading the Sisters asap so we can have an active safe-house in whatever district we are going to be active in fur that week. Upgrading the street performers for misdirection is also a very reasonable action that we might as well do now.

Male Orc Expert 5

Nah. The sisters are a specialist bonus group with no way to upgrade at this time. They have the Earn Gold and Gather Information actions.

Rat, probably

Cool. I had Thumbs add a note to that effect to the rebellion sheet.

Have them Gather info then? They are likely nearly as good at eavesdropping as a rat.

Male Orc Expert 5

Carrion Hill's looking pretty good right about now. Seems something much easier to twist into qhat I want.

Either that or Earn gold, but we have a good cash supply at the moment right?

Rumors would be best. Can we focus the gathering on the docks? If I remember correctly that is our next target?

I would love to get more info on what hurt Castor because I think we have a monster and/or spy in our house but I don't think the sisters can help with this problem...

Waiting on one more to get back to me before i make my final decision.

So upgrade the street performers and have the sisters on general eavesdropping?

Do we want to think about getting some sneaks or peddlers for a third (non-bonus) team once we hit rank 3? Assuming the plot does not hand us a third team like it did with the salt boyz this might be an important decision. The sisters are a street performer/peddler duel team s they can take the earn income slot until rank and push the peddlers to rank 5 and the 4th team slot.

That would mean Sneaks for rank 3 and saving some of our tin to upgrade teams until we can get the rank 5 sisters/peddlers dual income machine going for quiet weeks.

The Sisters are nice but I can see their inability to rank up eventually sidelining them.

Looks like it’s just the 50gp then to upgrade as the action. I can’t alter the spreadsheet from my phone but will do so later. That should wrap up the actions for week 3 and we can proceed to the docks once we get the gather info results.

HEY Tark
The players guide has each of us getting a potion. Players guide pg. 23 section Gift "...tributes to each PC...". Is this a change you are making or another instance of more editing needed for the Players Guide?

If it works the way it did when Thumbs and I arrived the boni (bonuses?) activate when you actually join the Ravens. It would be worth while not to add the feat and the extra skill point just yet but have them ready to add once you get the high sign.

I'll take a look. It will be tough to compete with 'Extra Hex' but who knows. I suppose it would be a way to keep you close to Thumbs as most hexes have a 30' range.

All that praise should go to Variel. Though we all have editing access to the rebellion sheet and I doubt the good Mr. Nightstorm would object to a bit of help.

Eh, thats fine I didnt catch that part. Just make it 6 potions of Diguise Other for now.

Rat, probably

Have a fun-ish idea. The potions were found in the former secret temple to Calistria in a box covered in her markings. the scavenger hot-potatoed it to the Street Performers who bounced it to us before the powers that annoy caught sight of it.

Just thinking of ways to connect to the new folks.

Rat, probably

So I was thinking about the first proclamation:

"All slayers of city pests (hereby
ascribed as doves, mice, and ravens) who present said
pests to the dottari shall be rewarded with a bounty of
one copper piece."

You should see where I am going with this but I never pass up a chance to quote Twain:

"Once in Hartford the flies were so numerous for a time, and so troublesome, that Mrs. Clemens conceived the idea of paying George a bounty on all the flies he might kill. The children saw an opportunity here for the acquisition of sudden wealth. ... Any Government could have told her that the best way to increase wolves in America, rabbits in Australia, and snakes in India, is to pay a bounty on their scalps. Then every patriot goes to raising them."

A breeding pair of house mice can produce 3-14 pups a month. About half of those will be female who will start producing more mice in 2 months. The math taking average litter size and a 2year lifetime means north of 5 million mice in a year. 5m/100copper= 50k gold a year or over 4 times extravagant lifestyle.

Now this is not a proposal for the Ravens to pursue. But if we promulgate this info amongst the fine citizens then we can flood the dottiari with dead mice. The mayor would have to rescind the proclamation, functionally admitting they were wrong and humiliating the throne.

Even it this plan fails as it very likely will we will foster a major mouse plague in the city disrupting commerce and humiliating the mayor.

Also there would be a great many very dead mice. Damm rat-wanna-be posers.

Both ideas bear merit Castor. I wonder if we could cross mice and rats though? Then Castor has something to do in his spare time and may have progeny to serve him.

I like the idea of finding a connection to the new recruits as currently Variel does not have many ideas for bringing them in. Not sure where he would meet a follower of Calistria at this point. I could see Variel knowing Sasha from a bar though that he frequents and brings her along that way.

As for the spreadsheet thanks for the kudos. I enjoy that type of thing and it's easy enough to do. If you do make any changes all I ask is that you post it accordingly in the discussion thread so we don't double up.

Too bad this didn't work for sparrows in Mao's China...

Unrelated, but should we discuss Sasha and Merelda's offices yet? We're missing Sentinel and Recruiter, but perhaps they'd like to do something else?

I've finally taken the time to look at the spreadsheet thoroughly, and Variel, you deserve all the kudos and the praise. That's some top-tier organization skills! The Hellknights won't stand a chance.

I think Tark may have an idea for the lady with the long lashes. Something seems to be going on in that bar. Hmmm bar ... Sasha has a bar in her background as well. Think our fearless leader is up to something Sasha?

Rats and mice can't crossbreed. We do have standards you know. (seriously they cant. Even making rat-mice in a lab is proving extremely difficult. Pig-Humans are much easier.

Rebels
Well the gang is effectively all here.
We should take a look at the players guide and see what offices we want/are suited for.

Rebels

Just did a scam of the Events in the players guide. Whoever takes Sentinel will hopefully have a good STR/WIS modifier and something in CON/CHA as those stats are used 4 to 5 times more frequently than INT/DEX in events. Unless the unknown special events make up the difference that is.

Too right. This tactic only works when control is loose enough that folks are more motivated by personal greed that by personal fear or a strong ideology. I do not know enough about the Great Leap to say anything about folks motivations but my cynical brain/gut says fear. Could be wrong though and they are far from mutually exclusive.

STR/WIS +2
DEX/INT +3

Very well balanced. Not recruiter or strategist. Pity Dex and Int are paired.
