The next part of the plan is to set up the old abandoned stables as a false store front and ambush the delivery people. Then we drive the cart back disguised as workers and unleash the next part of our plan.

The absolute chaos of these next few posts are gonna be great. Some things to point out.

The dwarf is coming out of the warehouse the same time as the cart is leaving so the gate is opening as you are being approached.

If the adventurers cunning plan doesn't end with everything on fire and them losing their hats then something had gone wrong.

Also still here, there isn't much to say when acting out as a bodyguard.

Variel, just to be clear: you mentioned you would carry (concealed?) weapons for Litsy to use, since she can't exactly be carrying her scimitar or handcrossbow while in her role. Are you carrying her weapons specifically, or just a couple of daggers?

I doubt that you'd take the rather encumbering and showy rapier. Hand crossbow might not attract too much attention, but you'd probably need to take an action to give it and the bolts to me.

Basically trying to figure out if it would be doable to grab a weapon on your person, possibly without getting noticed (like a dagger, which can be Sleight'ed of hand and concealed), or if I have to wait for you to hand me a usable weapon.

I would have the hand crossbow and the daggers. The rapier would not as that would likely be too many weapons even for a bodyguard. They are not concealed either but stowed normally. If we do get into combat my first round will be to give you whichever weapon you would want. You could try a slight of hand opposed by their perception as I would willingly fail and let you take one.

A question on AoO: does Borgan get one, since the dwarf threw a bag of whatnot in melee?

Also, shouldn't the dwarf have got an AoO when Litsy did her Acrobatics check? I thought he would get one since she moved out of a threatened square, but perhaps he would still be considered flat footed? (or: he's unarmed and it doesn't matter)

Don't think so, I moved away from him. Thought he was down, but still alive, misinterpreted that statement of the GM. Else

He was stunned for a round and badly hurt but still very alive. If you check the map he moved a bit and then tossed the bag. Given how high he rolled it really didnt mayter if he qas in melee or not.

Youre a bit lucky tbh. He wasnt expecting a fight to the death in broad daylight in the street in front of everyone.

I think we should focus more on non lethal fights in the future

Future fights I agree. I was toying with the idea of doing subdual damage to the normal guards but made some errant assumptions. I thought the dwarf was already dead and that the gate was closed after the wagon was through. Both of those meant that we would not be seen by others and that death had already happened. Too late now for the first guard.

Any one know of a magus arcana ability that grants the merciful property to a weapon?

I can probably focus on disabling spells.

Are we running into some problems with pace?

Its all on me. Work is such that I find it hard to sit down and type anything out that's of value. It'll be better in a bit when things slow back down again.

Hey guys, sorry for not able to let you guys know sooner, but at the moment I am unable to find the time to give any online games the attention they deserve.

Even after my vacation, well-rested and relaxed, work is taking up too much time for me with catching up again.

I think it is better for me to bow out now, than prolong my absence, so you guys might find a replacement.
I did have fun with you all to start up this game, maybe see you guys in the future when things have settled down again.

I dont mind mo ing on with these 4 though im particularly sad to see borgan go one for the meat he added to the groups bones and for his stoicism being a good foil to the groups frenetic energy.

However if you guys feel we need some more raw power either magically or physically i dont mind opening up recruitment again for one more.

Maybe see if Tal wants to join. He is in a Council of Thieve's game. Just make sure not to kiss him.

Another player might be a good idea. The bearer of thumbs can always use more meat-shields to hide behind.

Pollux has the Cure line on their list but not the Restoration line. A paladin or a cleric would fit the bill.

Hmmmm Pollux with cleric levels?

Beorn can sub in with some healing and UMD but some divine help can work.

Do we have to roll a Secrecy check for this week? What kind of actions should we plan for Week 3? Could we try and upgrade one team?

I did roll a secrecy check for the gather info. I don’t think we need any more checks than that. On a positive not we may have hit the next tier in the rebellion if our support holds up this week.

As for upgrading teams that is always an option. It allows more flexibility but it comes with a cost. To upgrade the street performers is 50gp while upgrading the tengu sister is 200gp. It is an option if we want to spend the money. We have that much in the rebellion coffers right now.

Just realized though that the gather info check needs to be modified by Beorn’s charisma as he is the leader of that group. As such the check is a success so we should know what is going on more in the docks region.

Any chance of a dead-orcs-shoes promotion for our hero?

AKA Some office reshuffle might be needed once the new blood arrives.

Agree whole heartedly with your post in the recruitment thread. Nothing you have done IC has been evil aligned towards us or the rebellion. If anything Variel has been the worst for decapitating a few heads in the last fight.

As for a promotion what role would you like with Borgan gone? We can definitely reshuffle the positions around with new blood. Are you thinking the Sentinel or wanting something else?
