Singing Borgan's back and you're gonna be in trouble.(Hey-la-day-la Borgan's back)

Pollux reaches over from the gamplay thread and stifles Castors creativity.

What Borgan saw just before disaster.

not cool man. flying naked puking opossums and now tooth stealing
naked flying gremlins. Not cool.

Rat, probably

Eight flying diminutive (only way 8 fit in Botgan's face) creatures with +7CMB. Party CMD 9/13/15/16/16 That is a better than 50% to hit the best of us they miss Pollux only on a 1.

Assuming AC range of 14 to 17 (10 +4 size mod likely dex bonus) means a ~50% chance for the four effective party members to hit.

Pollux is largely dead weight in this fight. Sleep is pretty much the only bolt in the quiver. I am hoping we have a HD advantage on these things. If we do then Borgen is safe because of the 4 hd total limit. If they are 2 hd then the odds are still good as there are eight dentists and only one patient.

Sleep here is foolishly risky but if we don't change the odds fast between the Cha damage and the steady bleed damage will not all be leaving here.

Rat, probably

Arrrrggg Post eaten.

I changed tactic and didn't drop Sleep on the dentist convention as the targets are not likely to be there next round when the spell would go off.
Add to that the common fey resistance to sleep magic and sleep seemed less and less likely to be useful.

The Evil Eye will help a bit with the odds but ......

The monkey decided against trying sleep. Apparently opening Borgen up to a Coup de Grace is "A bad idea". Pfffft.

Mind you with only 1 in 4 rolls breaking 10 it may become an option. Borgen likely hit so we should get at least a rough idea of their hp.
Fingers crossed anyway, if he missed ......

I will laugh in my superior rodent heart if the dentists stick to Borgen.
The likelihood of them scattering before Sleep could land was a prime argument for choosing the less effective but safer Evil Eye.

Speaking if hi-risk hi-reward calculations, I wonder what Shelyn is going to do.

Rat, probably

Hey Tark! I miscalculated Pollux's CMB. It is 10 not 9. (10+1bab-1str+0dex)=10.

Change made to sheet.
Sorry.

Where do you think we're going after all the teeth are gone?

I would like to try more Way of the Wicked/Hell's Vengeance one day. Have idea for a beat-stick/meatshield Brawler based on Chris Walker from Outlast.

Don't forget you can also target the one Pollux targeted with -2 AC, might have a better chance to hit that one.

Ah well, still got some cha to go around, luckily I was already planning of obtaining scars... Hopefully not too much around my mouth.

I wonder if the teeth can be replaced?

I am not sure if Evil Eye leaves a visible effect on the target. I am assuming not as it is a mind effect. But the plan is to hit as many of them as I can with the -2 ac to improve the odds of tagging one. It is a very slow process though.

Sovereign Court

Male Human Magus 2; HP 17/17, AC 16/12/14; saves 4/2/3; CMB: +4, CMD 16 loot list

I am not sure that Variel would know which one was targeted by the evil eye hex. The rat is right that it leaves no visible mark and there is no indication that Pollux even did anything other than laugh. It would be nice to know though as that -2 may make the difference in a hit or not. I can't imagine that these guys have that high of AC or that many hit points.

Once the combat is over I am sure a well rolled heal check will substitute for a dentist to replace the teeth...then hopefully magical healing. The worst part is the cha damage that will take days to recover from. Horrible for a paladin.

Male Orc Expert 5

I love these things. I should use them more often.

Rat, probably

Pollux needs to work on their communication skills. I am open to suggestions as to how to communicate that some of the dentists are easier to hit than the others.

Do you think it would be more useful to target their AC or their BAB first? Or I could alternate and annoy Tark. ;7)

This is pretty much an anti-witch encounter. Witches are not good at dealing with multiple targets. There are some 2nd level spells, mainly swarms that can help but Pollux

I an standing on my guess that their AC is 14-17 range. Diminutive gives a +4 and itty bitty flyer with an exotic precision weapon screams dex bonus to me.

I expect they have less than 11 HP. Hope so anyway. My gut tells me 11 is too high for 8 foes. Maybe 6-8...but I am very usure might even be as low as 4 to let cantrips have effect.

Man I wish Witches had a damaging cantrip or at least that Daze wasn't humanoid only.

They trigger dental fear and make medium to long term changes to players characters. This is sailing real close to the unwritten "challenged but always safe" law in RPG's.

These things basically go after the players. Good choice to help force reactions and immersion.

Rat, probably

Ooooo Beorn might have hit with that aoo. If he is lucky enough to get the devastatingly distracted dentist. (and if my guess at to their AC is accurate... hmmm not looking good for Opera)

Litsy I set up a few flanks for you depending on where you want to go and which fairy you want to attack.

Hey Litsy. Rogue 2 has a +1Bab. +1 bab lets you draw a weapon as a free action that combines with a move. Unless I am wrong you still have a standard action.

Hey Tark. Could we get an enemy count/status for round 2? I am not sure who is up and where after all the a's of o went off. That is if this is the start of round 2. I may be a little distracted at the moment.

Hmmm I never noticed the blue and yellow on Castors portrait before. Not the same pattern but then Castor is quite mad.

Perhaps targeting the Shelyn party was the better call. The spell had a good chance of dropping her and leaving at least one attacker up.

4hd limit means 2 targets (assuming 2hd dentists) likely random targeting as all 3 are in the same space. A couple of bad die rolls and Shelyn is hunting me from beyond the grave.

Opera is already pretty much in that position so taking a nap is unlikely to make things that much worse. I am figuring a worst case 50% chance for the dentist to save. But if the worst happens and it saves while Opera does not then we remain status quo.

I'm thinking Sleep may be dropping from heavy rotation.

Oh, she probably wouldn't even wait to be put in her grave to hunt you. You'd be hearing her ghostly complaining before she even drops dead :)

Hey Tark did Opera's dentist join little Nemo in Slumberland? Pollux's round 2 is waiting on that info.

You dirty raaatttt!

Castor quietly adds Vomit Swarm to next levels spell selection.

Note: I once ran a CoC game and didn't realize one of the players had an issue with spiders. Things became less than pleasant until a lot of talking was done. If the bugs are hitting a actual issue for anybody let me know either now or in the future and I will cheese it immediately.

Litsy, on the other hand...

I also wanted to let you guys know that I have to attend a series of conferences on Shakespeare for these next few days. I may not be able to post a lot until Sunday!

Rat, probably

Enjoy the conferences. Give us the highlights when you can.

Hmmm do you have room in your luggage? Kintro in the off-season lacks that certain something...

Haha! It's actually kind of a cute plushie!

It went well, thank you. My paper was well-received (which is great because it's the first time I've done anything like that in my entire life). It wasn't at the Globe though, but at the French Shakespeare Society.

Also, some guys did an awesome fencing demonstration of some famous duel scenes (Laertes vs Hamlet, Mercutio vs Tybalt). Only when discussing Shakespeare can you skip the intellectual chit-chat, and go straight to the sword-fighting.

Hey Variel, do you have Comprehend languages in your spell book? The monkey will need to buy me a scroll to learn it. 25ish gold is not insurmountable but it will pretty much clean out the old oak chest.

That is assuming such a thing is available.

Not a magus spell but will gladly chip in to buy a scroll for the esteemed Castor to eat once it has been dropped in your favorite food.

We did get 360gp each from our first encounter which a nice GM might let you have Malgar’s share as he is gone.

Rat, probably

That is true. I am also wondering if I get the extra skill point all you birdies got when the Ravens ranked up.

I suppose Pollux is not technically a member yet as they haven't been let into the clubhouse? Its just a skill point but every little bit helps ..

Male Orc Expert 5

I take it were trusting our yellow coated opera sensation to the clubhouse or die yall want ro do something with that?

Even though we have just met, I have this feeling we can trust him

Would you buy a used car from this rat?

Sorry busy Saturday so haven’t had time to post till now. Yes bring Castor to the hideout. If Pollux follows along that is ok as well. Just need the rat to cast comprehend languages.

Not sure I would buy anything he is selling with that look on his face lol.

Male Orc Expert 5

Looking back on Paquen's last post I noticed some bitter irony about it and your latest mission.

She specifically wanted to keep the tieflings out of it.

Yet it appears they don't really have any choice on the matter. As Paquen's misgivings had happened long before you got involved. And in blood at that.

Either Demagogue or Recruiter will require Pollux to be talking to people. Unless someone wants to switch to Demagogue, I am fine with Pollux claiming which ever one he wants. I did put him in the spreadsheet as Demagogue just to see the changes.

Who wants the new team of Tengu Sisters?

As for week 2 actions... suggestions
Beorn's Street Performers can gather information
Tengu Sisters can earn gold
Recruit more supporters from tieflings that we just helped
