Of course, but it's a downgrade from 1d6 (and 2d6 next level) for no reason.

Jaraduk Cometrunner |

About when do we want to have our rebuilds done by? I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do for a simpler fix-up, but may make more drastic changes as well.

Guess? |

Strek: Guess? will just have one weapon retrofitted with the Underwater property. All the rest are not worth retrofitting - hopefully we'll find some other underwater weapons along the way:
Guess? will also:
Can someone possibly loan Guess? 134 creds so that he can also purchase the swimming fins augment to get a swim speed? He's just a tad short. Will pay back as soon as the party cons a bit more money off someone!
I don't see any viable character rebuild options for Guess? since the feats don't really appeal to him and he's not a caster. Originally, I was thinking the rebuild would be more in-depth, where I would consider swapping Stunt and Strike for Sniper to increase Guess?'s damage output. GM Ewok, something like this is out of scope for this rebuild, correct?

Del Reisora |

Okay, Del will:
- aquafit her infernal pistol: 650 UPBs (she’ll swap her own credits into UPBs for it)
buy the following (one at full price and two with that 20% discount)
- hydrojet armor upgrade: 1120 credits
- instant vehicle (torpedo minisub): 800 credits
- iridescent spindle aeon stone: 492 credits
And she’ll retrain:
- Spell Penetration into Unsinkable Caster
- wisp ally into pressurize

Noodles and freezer bags 20
Mom 100
Xenodruids 100
I heart renkroda totebags
Hydrojet Swim speed armor 1120
Spell Gem life bubble x2 300
battery replacement 60
profession fishing toolkit 20
needle rifle 200
Guess loan 134
Three bottles of rum (Guess getting the shakes would be bad. She's rescued dwarven miners. She knows the shakes) 30

For all of Guess?'s disguise shenanigans, here are links to the rules that I read through. It does take a small bit of time to work through and decode - at least it did for me!
And in case it wasn't obvious, Guess? gets the quick disguise and master of disguise exploits at this early level because his operative specialization is: "Spy"

Akh, I'm fine with hand waving Underwater Brawler to work for you. That seems to be the intent of the feat. However, you will need Swimming Fins.
Jaraduk, you can spent about two weeks working your rebuild if you want. After that point you'll need to be using the new set up.
Guess?, that feat swap would be out of scope for this rebuild. However, I am a big believer in rebuilds to keep characters fresh. So I allow Mneumonic editors to be used for all level's decisions, not just the last two. So that makes a change pretty cheap the first time.
Del, nice use of the rebuild. It feels super necessary for a lot of casters.
Melissa, your shopping list is cracking me up.

Akh Xi |

Underwater brawler would work for me anyway, I just don't meet the strength requirement for the feat. Do you mean you're alright with ignoring the strength prereq?

Jaraduk Cometrunner |

Oh, I don't think I need that long.
I unfortunately don't see any specific rules around powered armor underwater (where I think specific suits might excel, since they have their own strength).

Akh Xi |

Thanks! Swapping my 5th level feat for underwater brawler!
Also getting swimming fins for Akh (680 creds).

Guess? |

Got it. I'll see how things go w/ Guess? and consider a mnemonic editor at some point in the future - and when he has some cash back in hand!

Akh Xi |

Darn, I looked at it again, and I have thruster heels filling my feet slot, so I can't get fins. I'm instead going to buy two aquanaut elixirs and hope we don't need more than 8 hours of proper swim speed.

Jaraduk Cometrunner |

Okay okay. Swapping out improved initiative for underwater brawler.
It sort of looks like there aren't good attachments for powered armor, and it might be smart just to go with Jaraduk's inner armor and swim fins.

Melissa is trying not to think of how much more sense her life lately would make if Guess? Really WERE Zo!

:( Paizo, why are there hostile robots here??? Didn't the description a moment ago say that there are hundreds of workers currently in the warehouse with us? Were they all just avoiding the hugbots in this section of the building?

I'd imagine they recognize the longterm workers but react poorly to the rancdom schmucks walking in off the street

Melissa is for snagging
The aeon stones. At the 10 percent credit She'd rather have the ability to not need food or water in case they get stranded or airlocked.
The tier 3 computer is handy, every once in a while you need a tier x computer to crunch some data.
The magic missile gems. Picturing a hostage situation where we need to shoot the guy holding shan and these are cheating. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying.

Guess? |

I've reorganized the loot slide to list everything that we're selling to the bottom of the list. If we sell all that, it comes to a total of 3859 credits. Divided by six, that's 643 credits per person.
Sounds okay to sell those items?
----------
As for the items shown on the list that is claimed by Jaraduk, Strek and Melissa, as soon as you've got it on your own character sheet, then I think it's okay to delete those bullets from the slide.
----------
Lastly, assuming we sell the items mentioned above, Guess? will pay back to Melissa the 134 credits owed from Guess?'s split.

Strek Armstrom |

Oh, cool. I didn't think we'd get that many credits. In that case, Strek will also buy that Augmentation that raises your Carrying Capacity. Help offset the Bulk of this new Armor =\

Del Reisora |

Yup, sounds good.

I've removed the sold items from the loot list and added 643 credits to the income log. So everyone go ahead and credit yourself.
Melissa: Guess? will repay the 134 credits owed to Melissa so please go ahead and add that back onto your sheet!

RE: Power Armor and alternate movement speeds...
So you can't Swim, even if you have a Swim Speed, if your armor doesn't have a Swim Speed.
You can't Fly, even if someone casts Fly on you, unless your armor has a Fly Speed.
And it doesn't matter what your Speed is, you instead move using the Powered Armor's Speed.
So would that mean Strek could morph all 4 limbs into arms, and use the legs that the Power Armor comes with instead?

BigNorseWolf |

RE: Power Armor and alternate movement speeds...
So you can't Swim, even if you have a Swim Speed, if your armor doesn't have a Swim Speed.
you wouldn't have a swim speed but you could still swim. The armor just orks the same for an otter or a ysoki inside it.

Jaraduk Cometrunner |

I was starting to assume I would just have to set Jaraduk's aside until after the water mission(s).

Guess? |

I didn't really look but are there upgrade slots on power armor? Any water jets that would give you a swim speed? Perhaps something can be homebrewed that Strek, Melissa and Guess? can engineer up with UPBs??

![]() |

I don't think the lack of a Swim speed is the end of the world, since most of the group doesn't have one. What you're looking for is a version of HydroJets that worked for Power Armor. Best I can tell, there isn't a way to do that in RAW. HydroJets are a Level 3 upgrade. I think adding enough UPB's to get it up to a Level 5 cost, like JumpJets, would be fair to make a HydroJet powerful enough for Power Armor. (3100 credits total, instead of 1400.) There's always Personal Submersibles too!

It occurs to me we might need a spreadsheet, mindmap, or one of those serial killer scatter plots to keep track of who Guess? has been and who interacted with which alias ^_^
lolol so true. That's going to be a full on 4d matrix.
"How could I have forgotten Slurm is an EJ brand???"
I was so confident that it was... oh well, I love the idea of Strek being addicted to the company product.
How will the customs check work?
Right now you're chilling on an open air landing platform, and you need to go through customs to get into the facility. So everything on your ship is safe, but you'll need to bring them through customs to sell.

FYI: After tonight I'll be away in nature all day tomorrow, but then back Sunday mid-afternoon'ish.

Guess? |

I'll be travelling next week Thursday to Sunday so may not have a chance to post during that time. Please bot Guess? as needed during that time.

One of my favorite bits in any media is from the orville.
The android clocks out for a bit to runs some deep calculations. While he's out, the goofy pilot re decorates his face mr potato-head style.
Trying to understand humor, the android waits till the goofy pilot is sleeping , anesthesia him...
and cuts off his leg.
The crew (eventually) agrees that this... is freaking hilarious. Despite how horrific it is to the viewers. Because Futuretech can regrow the leg in a few hours. A change in the tech leads to a complete re working of how the characters see things.
IRL you have to weigh life vs limbs. But in a starfinder universe that whole limb thing has a very defined cost and its only around 100-110 credits.
Or less if you're strek.
Same goes for broken backs, snapped necks, and hips. It probably lends towards some search and rescue techniques that would be worse than worst case practices irl , but make a lot of sense if you're in a hurry in starfinder (and your boss doesn't even roll back the its been x hours since the last accident sign for merely losing a finger) . Brutal but effective.

Shobad is now named Hodor.
Takes socks off to do some math....
1 foot tubes are only barely squeezing for a ysoki with compression. 7.5 to 14 inches is squeezing. 15 or more inches or 3 months less of Dels cooking and she can just run through without slowing down. She is a fluffy little ooze. But there might be some grates or filters in there to catch jetsdam/sea anemones sea enemies.
Weirdly a medium and small critter with compression have the same space so the ability works the same for them...
