That would be what i have listed as the truck robbery yard sale 382 credits.

Yepp, it should be 817 (from the goblin gear, trading gear, etc.) from everything before y'all arrived on Vohxa.

Now that you're at Absalom Station you can sell all the gear and the Vohxa trade gear on Slide 4 for 382 credits a person.

Then you get 400 credits, each, from Lord Sinjin's advance.

And 125 Credits each from Guess?'s hard work on the phone!

After years of running AP's, I still haven't come up with a good way to track funds. Something always seems to fall through the cracks, requiring a recount. The slide tracker does a pretty good job though (until I forget to update it, like this time!).

My go to has been logging everything in a big spreadsheet, then waiting until the end of each book to do sales and gold/credits distribution. A little awkward not being able to buy during a book, but easier to keep things straight.

I have pretty good luck with excel pages Like the one I'm using for Melissa. You can either do a chart normally, or it can be linked to a google sheet. (The formating when linked to a google sheet is, as far as I can tell, a knowledge arcana check level weird for trying to NOT fit on the page). I set up an example on the last page.

Another thing that works really well is One excel page with everyone's loot and equipment. Page 1 is party loot, everyone links to the loot total. That way if someone goes back and sells one gun for 10 credits you don't need a new line, you increase the old value by 10. If you total your loot up you can automatically get how much cash you have on hand.

I create a column of earnings, with either each entry linked to a Discussion post, or a description of where the credits came from.

Then I do the same for expenses. And then I SUM(A:A)-SUM(B:B) to get my unspent total.

Since we're splitting everything equally, if you just keep a chart of what we've earned then everyone will be on the same page and nothing will be missed.

Strek

On the assumption strek would have/ increase the lead on their int bonus the plan is to for melissa to get

Diplomacy expertise die + reroll. Dear Saranrae am I praying for this one faster... I was debating a reroll vs. getting expert advice faster and boosting Guess?'s diplomacy but as we've needed multiple diplomats and seem to have chased a black cat around a ladder.reroll moved up the list

Computers expertise die (because we're both rocking species bonuses to engineering)

Expert advice (I can share my expertise dice)

tactful Advisor

Engineering expertise die

So if Melissa Assists, she'll grant +3 for aid another, and then
(1d6+?-your bypass). Then can use her own skills in the odd sitation they need a combination of them or she's the only one that can get into the air duct.

1) Seeing Del RP with Eline would be amazing! Especially if the two started getting tipsy!

2) It'd be hilarious if we found an alternate EJ exec who turns out to be attracted to non-charismatic space bulls! Awkward date scene? ;-)

3) This portion of the adventure is starting to feel a little Shadowrun-ish to me! (Which isn't a bad thing!)

Well, with the original group, Lars was the one maxing out Int. Strek is a ranged striker, and needs Dex first, then Int. So I'm happy being second fiddle when it comes to Computers.

I built him for Engineering. +2 from Race, +1 from Theme, +3 from Memory Module, and the Theme Knowledge is amazeballs when it comes to Starship Combat.

I'll eventually have Remote Hack but I'll never be "great" at Computers.

Whoops, sorry to ninja you, Del! You can definitely call off the plan and go for a different exec if you want. I just wanted to set the stage for the next step because... it's thanksgiving weekend! Let's plan on taking it slow for the next four days. Try to get one or two posts in to determine the plan and get some rolls in.

Del is absolutely right, a Kalistocrat wouldn't get drunk. But, there will also be a fine dining restaurant aimed at Kalistocrats on the Plate where she will be eating dinner. (And any other EJ executive would be a Kalistocrat as well.)

I forgot this deal between Strek and Lars... not having a Computers expert would certainly be an interesting twist on the AP. Though our last AP didn't have anyone with Mysticism... on Eox. And that worked out fine!

Sorry I've been away from posting for the last couple of days.

Feeling a bit unmotivated with this arc of the AP. Seems very much like the adventure is bending over backward to allow a party of average joes (at 2nd level) the chance to steal this fabulously valuable ship. It kills my interest in planning stuff when it feels like "the authors are just going to make this irrationally easy".

The odds that Sinjin is sending us in at an opportunite moment on accident is pretty slim. He probably had 5 or six possible positions for the party, one of which was "as a warning to others" and he picked the scheme this group in particular had a chance at : catching dels sister with her guard down, and while they were planning a vacation. In universe it's texas sharpshooting: the target was drawn around where the bullet landed.

Sleight of hand is mostly body language.

I saw harry potter 2 with a friend of mine who's deathly afraid of spiders. So I brought an 18 inch by 12 inch piece of cardboard with a dragon drawn on one side "Look at the cute dragon and not the screen". Held it in one hand and forgot about it.

Despite just holding it in my hand, because I wasn't thinking about it NONE of my friends noticed I had the thing. So when the spider scenes happened, and I put it up in front of my friend to block the screen, it was like I'd pulled it out of hammerspace. So during the most horrific parts of Harry potter 2 with spiders about to eat people my arachnaphobic friend was laughing her rear off about where that came from...

Yeah... you're not wrong. I asked myself the same questions when I was prepping the AP. It's odd. My conclusions were...

-Despite the AP's premise, you're not just any old Space Truckers. You're adventurer Space Truckers! After all, most EJ couriers are going to be Level 0 commoners. Compared to the average EJ employee you're like superheroes. And... just got three unlucky jobs in a row. (Very fitting with the AP's premise.)
-At most corporate jobs I've worked IRL, the security was actually horrible. They'd guard hundreds of millions of dollars of Intellectual Property with some barb wire and a mall cop. This isn't a drow noble house, where people expect subterfuge. Maybe EJ just doesn't think anyone knows about, let alone will steal, this ship.
-Lord Sinjin didn't rise up through the drow and underworld ranks by being foolish. He's got plans within plans. Who knows whether he even planned on you succeeding, or if he's laid preparations to make the theft easier. (Remember, your Sense Motive rolls during that conversation weren't great and Sinjin's Charisma is HIGH. I'm not saying anything for certain, just that the PCs really have no idea his deeper motives.)

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

Not that I spent TOO much time thinking about this when I watched the prison crews basically doing our job but with more safety features *whistles innocently* but... a fair number of the skills are transferable (driving the get away car, driving a truck, using power tools etc) and some folks have had.. interesting lives before winding up on work crews.

Most security is security theater. It makes people feel safe. If someone's desperate enough to get through it, they'll get through it. It's mostly there to be just enough of an obstacle to get you caught if you try it. That's the real deterrent. Give people with nothing to lose, or, a LOT more to lose if they don't do it, and they have a not unreasonable chance of doing it. getting away's the hard part.

There's an animal rights group video I've seen, which said they can't show you how to get a coyote out of a leg hold trap because that would be trap interference which may be a crime in some locations.(presumably if you're trapping you've got the whole catchpole thing to get them out)

However, how to get a potentially dangerous stray german shepherd out of a trap is perfectly fair game (you step or press on the sides of the trap. Hopefully the critter is more worried about pulling away from you than biting your boots. or you can toss your coat over their head.)

Aside from the -4 penalty for the racial subtype difference, there is also a -10 penalty for the size difference (Guess? being small but disguised as medium). However, I believe the use of the holoskin negates these penalties except in the case of someone physically touching Guess??

Oh right!! Completely forgot about this rule!

So yep, as Melissa pointed out, Guess? will have to wait till either Guess? picks this up: doppelganger morphic skin
Or acquires this exploit via the spy specialization at level 5: master of disguise

But this has led me to realizing that I made a mistake. I thought Guess? had the Quick Disguise exploit but in fact he does not because the Free Trader archetype's Merchant Savvy ability replaced it at level 2. Guess? isn't using Quick Disguise now but I thought Guess? had it available to use earlier during the Gideron Authority arms transport plotline. My apologies!

Also, I am OBSESSED with the deadly space-roombas. They're just SO funny. And they have some obscenely impressive skill bonuses to boot (you guys missed the Perception check against the first one by two!). According to the author of the AP, these "monsters" were the impetus for a new rule at Paizo. Some of the top-dogs at the company didn't like it, they thought the monster was too silly. Apparently the month after this book hit print a new rule was put into place that all new Alien Archive monsters would need executive approval beforehand.
