Were they expecting the pegasus or something? Even the tier 4 drake can reasonably sit 3 gunners that hit on a 4 5 or 6 and do ~72 points of damage: Enough to go through 10 points of shields the 55 hull in one shot.

Or the assumption that people wold stick with the captain gunner pilot engineer computer paradigm?

Yeah, I think part of it is that Starship combats don't scale up to 6 players quite as linearly as normal combats. I can add 50% more ships, but that doesn't match up perfectly with 50% more players since the players are much more proficient at their roles than the NPCs.

oof, it is the powered armor I think (still trying to figure out why though, because I thought the larger hands of the powered armor could deal with the medium weapons just fine).

also no, as equipped his bulk remains the same as before (but if he un-equips the powered armor, he suddenly has to account for the high bulk).

I'm at the point where it's time to log a bug.

I'm quite certain the software has it wrong, but it will be lower than out-of-suit because the suit has lower STR than Jaraduk.

Being forced to look deeper into this is giving me some ideas for the coming rebuild.

Oh, also he's supposed to be Large in it. Frankly though, I don't think he'd be walking the streets of Absalom station with it on. He'd have light armor that fits into it and probably have that on.

If the character would, that's up to you! But remember probably 5-10% of the folks wandering the streets in Absalom would be Large. Besides Large races, you have all the other folks in Heavy armor.

Waaay back in the day I had this Magic: the Gathering calendar, and my favorite art for one of the months was an albino Hurloon minotaur, stoically gazing out over a verdant valley.

With that art in mind, combined with them often using a didgeridoo, I've always imagined them sounding like Himalayan throat singers echoing long, low, rumbling dirges.

So a Nuar singing about doshkos seems rather appropriate ^_^

Wildlife rehabers are used to seeing strange stuff.

At the park where I worked the garbage truck in front of us hit a goose and knocked it into the lake. Gets onthe radio "you see that?" "Yeah I'll get it..."

Stop, get out of the car and hem and haw a bit because it's the tail end of winter and there's still a bit of ice on the lake. But the goose obviously can't swim so.. Off comes the shirt, off come the boots and in i go. Swim out to the goose....

It gets enough energy to flap flap out to the middle of the lake where it flops. (video of lake. Not flopping goose)

Swim out PAST the goose. Chase it in a zig zag back to shore. Put my hand down to it. It bites me. Sees THAT isn't going to work, I just pick it up plop it next to me in the car and drive off.

We called ahead to the zoo, so we're not there long before the rehaber gets there with a dog crate. Completely non pulsed at the sasquatch soaking wet full of seaweed (lakeweed?) Holding a goose that's looking around like "Oh hey whats that..."

Still, I can see the poor guy that has to come get the electrovore, wrapped up in a loading blanket that's duct tapped around them, with salt water around the bottom of the blanket, jumper cables from the salt water to a battery degausing Pip so he can't zap us, and frozen peas on his head for the concussion.

Oh neat. I'm glad we kept those UPBs for the ship. Strek can use them to Aquafit everyone's weapons for his Downtime Activity.

We have 1600, and he'll need 663cr for his own weapons. Who else needs theirs retrofitted, and how many UBPs will you need?

Strek already has Gill Sheathes from his first job on Entha.

That leaves him with only 724 credits. If we end up using all of the UBPs (which I imagine we will) he can convert some of those credits to buying more UPBs.

I was going to purchase a Swimmer's Kit, and I found it funny it wasn't mentioned in the AP, but now I see that it takes up 2 hands (the other tool kits don't take up any), so it's probably only good for maybe... Del?

On a quick side note, my initial idea about winning the cargo delivery job was having Guess? go in there impersonating Zo! declaring to those warehouse workers that the cargo needs to go to our crew for some reality TV show - idea being that the workers would be so starstruck, they'll agree to fake Zo!'s request.

So definitely getting swimming fins, unless Ewok, you're OK with Akh using his fly speed underwater.

The aquafit rules are quite annoying for vanguards. You can't aquafit your entropic strike directly since it isn't a weapon. You can inherit the underwater special property off another weapon after aquafitting that, but that downgrades Akh's damage unless the weapon is high level enough. But otherwise weapons don't actually do anything for me. Seems a huge waste to buy an item level 6 weapon just for the underwater property.

I also can't pick up underwater brawler because I don't have strength. I'm still digging to see what other options might be out there.

Ye olde survival knife or any level 1 pike with reach would let you do 1d3 plus con plus 5 with no attack penalty for your entropic strike (and so would your bite if you have it) The dice don't matter that much at that level.
