sorry i forgot to put it in stats....Androk is true nuetral

Thanks GM! Three things:

1 - I need to redo my gear. Please ignore this part of the character, if possible - it was done for a different game. Monks only have 35 gold pieces on average for starters, so the character will be a lot more barebones in terms of equipment. I'll try to update him ASAP, but if you started your analysis already - please ignore the gear, like I said.

2 - Alignment: Akatsu is true neutral because it's honestly what better matches his overall behavior and worshiping, but I can easily change him to neutral good, or even lawful neutral. I want to stay on the neutral axle and don't want to do anything evil or chaotic, but other than that I can go LN or NG instead of TN if you so prefer for the party dynamic.

3 - Could I drop my charisma to 8, instead of 9, and raise my intelligence from 12 to 13? Just to qualify for some feats I like (like combat expertise) for the future. If not, no big deal.

Cheers!

You forgot me, but I've had trouble getting a concept going. I think I'm on to something now so stay tuned.

Herkymr the Silly:
Thanks for clarifying. I'll update the alignment on my next list. :)

Akatsu Horami:

• I'm going to say that a Monk has an average starting gold of 70gp and that should help out a little more. It's still sparse compared to most of the other classes so it is still in keeping with a monk releasing their attachments to social conventions such as money/coin.
• Since your character is now an ex-member (and has strayed from the path), I feel that LN won't really work, especially since he will be indulging in forbidden vices (via sin monk). For some reason, I personally think that NG will fit him best in this case. However, if you'd rather keep him as a True Neutral, that's fine, too. You know your character best and I'll place my trust in that.
• I'm going to give a tentative okay to drop Cha to 8. I'd be happier if somewhere in the personality/behaviour blurb you can expand on how his charisma/persona will be affected by a lowered stat. I read that he is a disfigured man (re skin burns) and has led a hard, tough life. I feel that he may be off putting to normal folk around town - they see him as unapproachable or unsettling. Perhaps with time, they may come to understand his silent/emotionless way of being and be less intimidated/affronted by him. I tend to have people play their stats (even the low ones). Maybe his sense of 'optimism' is because he has accepted his failings/lot in life and just wants to get on with things. However, having other people accept them and his personality can be a different matter. (When you say his silent ways - I hope this won't impact social rp too much? I have seen people play silent/brooding/quiet characters before and it can impede roleplay especially in the group. Just something that caught my attention as I was reading your blurb on his behaviour.)

Delmoth:
I honestly didn't forget you. :) I just didn't know what to list you under re concept. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :) I'll add you to my next list update.

This is Xynen's submission. Background on the alias is simple, I could expand if needed. Link to character sheet on the alias as well. Looks like the competition is fierce. Looking forward to seeing the other submissions that get entered.

Here's Crisischild's submission. The mechanical part of it, anyways. I'll work on the backstory over the next couple days. I took the Rich Parents trait. I know it's a horrible trait but I needed it for the flavor of the character. If you'd rather I not use it just let me know and I'll change it for something else, not a big deal.

I am working on a Changeling Cleric of Sarenrae. Clearly a group this adventurous and brave needs some healing (and the occasional scimitar.)

Dotting... are there any prohibited classes or archetypes?

Presumably any classes not listed among the allowed listed in the original post. As to Archetypes, less certain.

Edit: I should have an entry later this evening. I'm away from my computer at the moment.

Thanks! To be honest, he doesn't really need much gold. I added stuff like a masterwork backpack and spider's silk rope simply to reach the other game's 200 (!) starting gold, but in truth he's likely just carrying the basic monk kit, a sledge, and some daggers, darts or shurikens. I think I could make it work even with 35 gold, but thanks for the generosity. I'll have him updated tonight.

Agreed - I'd just make him LN if I was to lose the sin monk archetype, which honestly I added mostly for flavor (it actually harms the mechanical parts of the build but I thought it made more sense with the background I wrote). I think I'll make him NG just to make him more heroic than "morally grey".

I appreciate it! Yes, I believe his low charisma should be explained by his appearance and demeanor, and will happily RP as such. That's a big chunk of the fun of playing RPGs, right? :) I'm not in it to be rolling dice only. I like both things equally. As for silent ways - I feel there's a lot more to convey when playing than just what someone speaks. His mannerisms, gestures, looks, I think it all go hand-to-hand when building the interactions. I don't expect Akatsu to ever be the "face" of the group, and probably won't invest in anything romantic, but other than that friendship, friendly banter, everything should be fair game. I haven't played Jade Regent before so I don't know how the caravan thing works, but I'm hoping for some RP opportunities there.

I'll throw Dominic's hat into the ring! Best friend to Shandru, wandering pilgrim and carpenter.

Cleric of Desna (Varisian Pilgrim) maybe going into Spherewalker should the campaign fit it in. Stats and background in the profile!

Thanks and best of luck to everyone!

Dotting...would you be willing to accept a Tengu? If not it's not a big deal. I'll use the basic ideas in this alias and rework a little bit if need be.

Definitely dotting. I'm going to see what is currently in the submissions and decide on that <3

It was under a spoiler so not easy to spot, but another applicant asked about tengu previously, and the DM said no, here.

Fluffy bitz:
CORE CONCEPTS:
Mike is serious and stoic like a typical dwarf.
Mike does not hold onto grudges like her fellows and recognizes how racist other dwarves are. While she will accidentally be racist she does not intend to be.
Mike’s clan was exiled when she was a baby, she’s gotten over it. But the rest of her family hasn’t.
Mike left her clan as soon as she came of age, stricken by a powerful wanderlust.
Soon after leaving her clan she drank to excess and after the subsequent blackout she found that she was an ordained priest of Cayden Cailean.

APPEARANCE and WRITING SAMPLE
A dwarf wearing the tan and silver vestments of Cayden Cailean sits at the bar. She wears a warhammer at her hip and strokes her braided beard thoughtfully. Long locks of dark golden hair drape off of her head and nearly touch the floor. When a nearby roustabout petitions her with a drunken drawl she simply offers while raising her own mug, ”May you find wisdom in the bottom of a cup.” She cringes slightly when the man spills his drink on her, not because of the stain, which is easily fixed with a minor miracle, but because of the wasted drink. Finally her wait ends when Shalelu makes her way to the bar, Mike smiles at her friend genuinely, it has been too long.

Character Goals
Affected by a powerful wanderlust Mike wants to travel to distant lands
Not immune to the greed that curses most dwarves she wants to collect a number of precious gems and fine art worked from stone and metal.

Further Background
Mike is the granddaughter of master brewer, then Dentonet Dorndam, who frequently sold ale to a cabal of Caydenites. While this business of selling dwarven ale to humans was frowned upon it wasn’t until Dentonet sold a copy of the family recipe that she and her entire clan were exiled for treason. The family were stripped of their lands and wealth and forced to live in the wilderness. Mike was just a child.

Growing up Mike learned how to hunt and survive in the wilderness, she was also taught the secret of her family brew. But without the sophisticated equipment necessary she has yet to brew a true Dorndam ale. She often wondered what lay over the mountains and would frequently wander away, sometimes for weeks at a time, much to her worrisome father’s dismay.

On one of her walkabouts she came across a human settlement and proceeded to drink the local tavern dry. She blacked out and the next day found herself in the vestments of Cayden Cailean. She found that she was able to perform a number of miracles. After returning home she informed her parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and her brother that she was leaving the clan for good and to spread the word of the Lucky Drunk. They didn’t take it well but also could do nothing to convince her to stay.

In Mike’s travels she encountered the elf Shalelu and they bonded when they faced off against a group of goblins together. They found they had a lot in common, both knowledgeable of the wilderness. But Mike grudgingly admits Shalelu taught Mike more of the wilds than the other way around.

@Hattori Aiko, thanks I missed that.

Due to that I'm going to make a new character, I'm thinking a human witch.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and good luck with your new character!

Here is Gundar Ironbeard for consideration. He was built with a 15 point buy so I will adjust to 20 and he needs another trait. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Gear and other details updated. Best of luck to everybody!

May I present Baradim, a Sanctified Slayer in service to the Dawnflower. Looking to go into a mixture of weapon finesse and intimidation with a focus on knocking out those that could be convinced of a new and better life within Her light. He is kind of slow getting off the ground but by level five, he'll be intimidating and sneak attacking all the time to support the party!

I'm going to be doing up his fluff later this week but it'll be done way before the end of recruitment. I'll post back in once I am done. :)

Here is Meadow Lark or just Lark, Jokers submission. She is a Kitsune Trickster rogue focused on social skills (And general skill monkey stuff) as well as magic tail. She can handle herself alright in a fight but really shines outside of them!

I'll finish up a blurb on her personality tomorrow of the next day!

I'm still working on Theresa Faradrini, my Brine May Changeling who was raised as a Varisian traveller.
She'd be a devotee of a trio of gods; Shelyn and the Empyreal Lords Jalaijatali and Keltheald.

I'm a bit in doubt on class still. I'm looking at either and archery focused Ranger using the Fortune-Finder archetype. This would connect with the natural wanderlust of both Brine Mays and Varisians. She'd focus on enjoying natural beauty as part of her faith.

The other is a Fighter using the Bladed Brush feat to use finesse with a glaive. She'd go Samurai using the Ironbound Sword archetype at some later point, using that archetype's Merciful Combatant feature to scale class features of the two classes based on her total level in those two classes. In this case she'd focus on recording natural beauty, for instance in poetry or song, as part of her faith.

Here is Talax, Varisian Human Witch.

Background:

Talax has lived in Varisia his whole life. He was found in the ruins of a town on the northern coast that looked as though it had been raided and pillaged, by a nomadic clan of merchants traveling through the area. He was taken in and adopted by them, but was young enough that he doesn't really remember his birth family. His new family traveled the length of Varisia, trading goods and services to the various communities. Talax was a quick study and would try to find new books to read on their journeys. Eventually he learned the merchant trade, with a focus on books, along with the general goods that the caravan sold.

When Talax was in his mid-20's, he was out searching for herbs after the caravan had stopped for the evening on its way to the dedication of the new Cathedral in Sandpoint and came accross a raven that was injured in a clearing. Talax took the bird in and bound its wounds. It became apparent to Talax that the raven was not a normal raven but something more. When it was healed, the raven offered Talax powers beyond what he could ever imagine, and being a student of knowledge and always seeking more, Talax agrees and began his path to greater knowledge. During the dedication of the Cathedral and the ensuing goblin attack he was gravely wounded and near death, when the town priestess of Desna, Koya, saved his life with her healing magic. Since then he has always been dedicated to her, assisting her trips to Magnimar, Riddleport and Korvosa. Talax has continued to travel with his raven, Muninn, and learned much from him. He is currently arriving in Sandpoint to resupply his wagon and to check in with Koya, having heard that her mother has recently passed.

I will start going through each submission from tomorrow morning just to get a head start as I have a good number of character concepts so far. Recruitment is still open and will remain so until the 22nd August. If I have questions or find things that need to be addressed, I will PM each person directly. (I understand some people are still working on backstories and general fluff. That's fine.) :)

Hi GM Chesca, this is Inara14's submission. She is a Desnan Inquisitor (travel domain) focussed on two-handed fighting. Please see the profile for everything you need, I have also copied and pasted the fluff below.

I aim to post at least once per day. Short term planning for the crunch for the next couple of levels includes picking up a cure spell and taking Power attack etc, so she will be very versatile.

I would be keen to tie in any other PCs from Sandpoint into my backstory if I am picked to help make a cohesive story and player group.

This looks like a great opportunity!

Appearance, personality and background:

Appearance:
Flori stands tall (5”7) and lean (140lbs) with long brown loose waves cascading over her shoulders. She has narrow dark brown eyes which is the only feature she seems to have inherited from her mysterious father. These give her a passing resemblance to Ameiko Kaijitsu, her friend and sometimes boss. Her striking brow can make her look severe when she is not also wearing her honest smile. Her olive skin is often freckled from the time she spends enjoying the sun and the outdoors.

She is often dressed in her barmaid's uniform, depending on what bar she is working in at the time with her hair pulled up into a loose, but messy bun. When she is not working she wears simple yet colourful light clothing and loose scarves in local Varisian fashion. She is always seen wearing a long chain with a large, prominent wooden carving of a butterfly which she uses as her holy symbol of Desna, fiddling with it often.

Personality:
Flori is an approachable, energetic and easy-going young woman, with a bright outlook on life. She is quick to smile and a bit of a chatterbox, mostly talking about the possibilities of travelling the world with anyone who would listen.

She is a collector of curious trinkets that she has on show at home. These trinkets include a large collection of oddments that Koya has bought back from her from each of her caravan journeys, no matter how local. She can be obsessive about her collection and notices when one is missing. Sandru recently took it upon himself to hide a painted shell that Koya had bought back from Magnimar, making her incredibly late for work in the desperate hunt to find it!

Her optimism has led her to create her very own bucket list on things to achieve and places to visit.

Flori Costor’s Bucket List
-Go to the Radiant Festival in Absalom
-Visit the Great Library of Tephu
-See a Mammoth in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords.
- Visit Tian Xia - (find out where my father is from!)
-Carve a chunk of ice from a Winter Witch's palace.
-Ride the horses in the Qadiran desert
-Listen to the teachers in Andoran
-See a Shory city
-Get invited to Hermea.
-Climb the World's Edge mountains
-Stand on the Arch of Aroden
-Write my name on a monument in Magnimar
-Sail the edge of the Eye of Abendego
-Walk through a bazaar in Jalmeray
-Listen to a Chelaxian opera

Backstory:
Flori was born out of wedlock at the Pixie’s Kitten, Sandpoint’s brothel. Her mother died when she was very young and the only things that Flori remembers about are a big smile and large hooped earrings. She knows nothing about her father but when she turned 15, Kaye Tessurani, the owner of the Pixie’s Kitten, gifted her with her father’s weapon which he left behind to pay his debt. Ameiko was able to identify it as a Nodachi, a weapon from her homeland and Flori has practised with it religiously ever since.

Koya took Flori lovingly into her home after her mother’s death as “a brothel is no place for a young girl to grow up!” Even with Koya’s guidance, Flori has never settled with a clear career path, flitting like a butterfly into a variety of odd jobs. She tried working in the cathedral, learning swordplay and even fortune-telling with Koya but none of them stuck. In the end, Koya managed to get her part-time jobs across Sandpoint and Flori now juggles odd hours in Sandpoint’s taverns, mainly the White Deer and the Rusty Dragon when she can or when Koya is away.

Whenever Koya and her other ‘adopted child’ Sandru return from their travels Flori is always excited by the wonderful stories they bring, as well as the promise of a new souvenir from the far-off places that she has not seen yet!.

I've been running two games of Jade Regent on the forums here for about a year now, this is a fun story, good luck to all!

Appreciate it, reread the opener and found the classes (not sure how I missed it the first read through... chalk it up to being tired I suppose).

@GM:

So... I would be the first to grant that a vigilante would not be necessarily ideal for this campaign, at least not at the start (given it sounds like the first book is us traveling to get to the setting for the rest of the adventure) but would you be opposed to it outright? I only ask because it is neither on the valid list nor on the ban list, and I could see playing a vigilante returning home from exile or some such.... but I don't want to devote too much time to generating one if they are a hard no.

Additionally, given occult classes are out I think it would be safe to assume that any archetype that introduces those mechanics would be as well. I would wager that any that introduce firearms would similarly be off the table due to you banning non Bolt Ace gunslingers (feel free to correct me on those assumptions if I am mistaken). Are any other archetypes off the table for you?

I should begin brewing up a character soon.

Ok, this is Irnk's submission.

And below is the character background.

Pavo Bellimarius was Patriarch of a minor Chelish House, notable mostly as financiers in trade ventures. In the wake of the Thrune ascendancy He relocated his family (and their wealth) to the new-founded city of Magnimar hoping to capitalize on this emerging trade hub, particularly in regards to trade with the distant continent of Tian Xia. For many years, this tack proved quit successful and not only did the family's fortunes grow they came to be viewed as close friends of the Tian community. In particular, a family of Glassmakers seeking to establish a Glassworks in one of Magnimar's subordinate towns, Sandpoint.
Time and generations passed, and fortunes waned. Eventually, a series of increasingly poor and desperate business decisions by Pavo's grandson, Morvius, not only paupered the family, it ended it. Only his infant son Arioch survived to be found by Lonjiku Kaijutsu on a fortuitous visit when in Magnimar on business. In memory of the many kindnesses the Bellimarius family had performed on his own & other Tian families behalf, Lonjiku took the child in & raised him as his own.
For many years, Arioch's life was as close to idylic as it could be with such tragedy in one's past. The grace & intricacy of Glassworking was a neverending delight for the boy and as Lonjiku's blood descendants showed no interest in the art, he took solace in sharing this passion with someone who appreciated it as much as he.
Sadly, tragedy struck young Arioch's life again, this time touching his adopted family, for Atsuii Kaijutsu, Arioch's adopted mother's body was found, dead, at the base of the rise upon which the family home was found. Atsuii's death presaged a time of significant family strife in the Kaijutsu household, for not long after Ameiko, his adopted sister, left following an intense argument with their father to become an adventurer. Though Lonjiku continued to share his craft with his adopted son, he grew distant & cold. A distance with did not lessen when Ameiko returned to Sandpoint, indeed if anything Lonjiku became even more withdrawn & cold. It was this coldness which simultaneously prompted Arioch to throw himself even more intensely into his study of Glassmaking & at the same time kept him from sharing with his father a growing, secret fear.

Since the morning Atsuii's lifeless body was found on the rocks below the Kaijutsu home, Arioch would find himself waking in strange places, with inexplicable bruises, his bedclothes in shreds about him.

Finally, at their father's funeral, Arioch attempted to share his fears with his sole surviving family. Unfortunately, their mutual grief, coupled with the continued resentment Ameiko felt toward Lonjiku impeded his revelation & Ameiko believed he was simply pestering her about the Glassworks. To get him out of her hair, Ameiko assured Arioch that he was welcome to stay in the family home for as long as he wished.

In the time since, Arioch has finally learned to control his transformations, somewhat, though he still has little idea of how they came to occur in the first place. As stress can bring them on, he tries to keep to as unexciting a life as possible, rarely even leaving the Glassworks for days at a time as he attempts to return to a sense of normalcy.

The Emerald Duke:
I appreciate your questions regarding the vigilante class. I agree that it isn't an obvious choice for this AP as it fits better with courtly intrigues and leading a double life in society. Sandpoint is a sleeping fishing town and you you are correct that the first book has more exploration and wandering than sitting in parlours or politicking. I haven't played the Vigilante class before so I went through the listed Paizo archetypes. From those listed, I can see the following perhaps working in game: Teisatsu (character originating from Tian-Xia and compelling him/her to cross the continents to find themselves in Sandpoint), Wildsoul, Agathiel or even Warlock, depending on the backstory of your character.

I certainly will say no to the archetypes lending themselves to the occult such as Psychometrist.

As to the issue of guns, firearms do not play a part in this AP and are not readily available in this AP. Therefore, an archetype like
Gunmaster under Vigilante is definitely off the table.

Regarding the possible story angle of an exile returning home (via vigilante), I am willing to see how you would develop that. Or another idea could be that Sandpoint becomes a refuge to lose one's self within after something goes terribly wrong for the character in their originating nation - they're forced out of their homeland and try to establish themselves and forge a new life in Sandpoint? I'll leave you to consider what direction you'd like to take it.

I see there's been another, recent submission for Vigilante on the thread - archetype Brute. So, perhaps, don't build something around that concept as I like to have some diversity in classes during recruitment.

I hope that answers your questions sufficiently. I look forward to seeing what character you develop.

Best of luck. :)

Daynen:
I generally like things set out clearly using spoilers and char sheets on profile pages such as the one here on one of my character aliases: Example. However, if mythweavers is what you generally use/prefer, then that's fine, too. Thank you kindly. :)

Some awesome concepts here, both mechanically and in background terms. Definitely great inspiration. Keep it up guys! @GM, I don’t envy the work bring cut for you.

@GM Chesca - would a Khakkhara be allowed as one of the weapons under the Stick-Fighting Style?

Definitely very interested. I've got a character I'll work on. Plan would be Fighter at level 1, then onto Investigator from there as a frontliner.

Zura Mvashti here. A Changeling Fighter, looking to explore the world.

Laird_Thorne:
I'm assuming that you wish to build an Unchained Monk? And, that the khakkhara will deal bludgeoning damage only?

Story wise, I'm wondering if you're going to make your character a Tian-Sing originally haling from the archipelago of Minata in Tian Xia? Thematically then it is reasonable to presume they may be carrying/wielding a khakkhara. Or is your character going to be from either the Mwangi Expanse, Osirion or Vudra (that is, before coming to/living in Sandpoint) as they are known to produce efficient stick-fighting styles as well. The reason I'm asking this is that I like people tying a character's look, feel, expertise and weapons/gear to the region that they hale from or been living in for some time into their backstory. Weapons like the khakkhara will not be made/readily sold in a sleepy fishing village such as Sandpoint, so it would have been brought in from elsewhere.

If your character's backstory supports the use of/expertise with a khakkhara, then I will allow it with the Stick-Fighting Style.

I look forward to reading your character concept. :)

- We have quite a few martial characters at present.

- If I've missed anyone, apologies, it's purely unintentional and I'll correct the list on my next submissions update. Recruitment is still open and will be until the 22nd August. Thank you kindly. :)

@GM:

Appreciate your answers. I was toying with the idea of a half-elf vigilante with the double-scion and warlock archetypes, with the vigilante side tied to his elven heritage (along with the spellcasting).

I will begin to draft something up... should be different enough from the other submission that we could coexist in the same game if you picked us both.

This is my (Trevor86's) finished submission! The backstory is a bit on the longer side, but I hope you'll enjoy reading it just like I did while writing it. If you'd like a shorter, non-fluffly summary then I could add it seperately, of course.

I included a minor background bit from the Taldan political situation, which I was familiar with from an application for a previous AP. If you find this overly intrusive or too large a part of his backstory (Such as if all non-natives of Varisia/Sandpoint are prohibited), then please let me know and I'll rewrite it.

Oh, right. I used a Tarot deck when describing the fortune telling scene and the card meanings. I found out later that in the World of Pathfinder, their equivalent is a Harrow deck. Is it a large problem to have Tarot cards exist as a lesser used fortune telling system? I think the Tarot cards have more writing potential than the Harrow ones.

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day! Very excited for the AP and good luck to all other submissions. Just... um, don't beat mine? ;)

@Hattori: I have considered what you've said in your post and followup PM and I have decided to allow a 20 point buy build. Hopefully that'll make things better for all applicants.

To all impending applicants: It'll now be a 20 point buy. :)

I did not spot this initially. I have updated accordingly.

Hi! I just wanted to write a quick post to let you know that although I haven't submitted anything yet, it isn't due to a loss of interest in the game. I got my wisdom teeth removed two days ago and I'm still recovering. I haven't really had time to rewrite my character, but I hope I'll have at least the crunch figured out by the end of the week :)

Also, best of luck to everyone!

I have here Ashalana Moran, a human witch specializing in Cartomancy (that may be haunted by her dad?) and best friends with Ameiko!

I've decided to withdraw from this recruitment. Have fun all!

Introducing Caladorn Estvial, Arcane Trickster to be… Note that he plans on taking the rest of his levels as a wizard and then AT.

Background:

Caladorn is an elf on the run; this is why he’s willing to head off on a caravan to Tian Xia… He stole a chest from a ship that was docked in Magnimar, and found it contained a wizard’s effects, including 3 spellbooks (and spell component pouch). Although he’d never had the opportunity for arcane training at home, he had always wanted to try. He kept the books, and found he could read one of them (Magical Knack Trait)...He has been studying it diligently…

However, a couple of disturbing incidents in Magnimar convinced him that the wizard in question was looking for him – presumably wanting his books back, and planning on pulling Caladorn’s spleen out through his nose… Caladorn hied himself away to Sandpoint, and is now looking to leave his troubles behind him.

Caladon Amarnoth Triellan Estevial comes from a small community of elves in what they still call the Mierani Forest. A rural (very druidic) community, it was definitely short on the kind of opportunities an elf of his character (CN) was looking for. Caladon left at the first opportunity (becoming one of the Forlorn), confident of making his mark on a wider world (due to his inherent elven superiority – Elven Arrogance race trait). He ended up in Magnimar, lifting purses. He was confident this was just a setback, and has been rewarded with his stolen books…

He worships Calistria, as any true elf does; opportunist, vengeful and hedonistic…it fits him to a T.

He is the black sheep of the Andosana family, younger ½ sibling to Shaelu Andosana (Younger Sibling campaign Trait). They have met twice, both at formal occasions when Shaelu was visiting her family.

Description:

6’2” and 141 lbs, a typical elven twig… Bright green eyes and blond hair (cleanshaven). Dresses neat, well-organized (not unkempt). The only flaw in his features is the missing tip of his right ear.

Elven Magic: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft checks made to identify the properties of magic items.

Elven Arrogance: Some elves are so convinced of elven superiority, or else otherwise so xenophobic, that they have difficulty seeing the point in communicating with “lesser” races. Their racial bonus on saving throws against enchantments increases by 1 (to +3) against such effects from non-elf humanoids, but they begin play speaking only Elven, and if they have high Intelligence scores, they can select bonus languages from only Azlanti, Celestial, Draconic, and Sylvan.

Class Abilities:

Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.
The rogue’s attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every 2 rogue levels thereafter. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. This additional damage is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit.
With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (such as a sap, unarmed strike, or whip), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack—not even with the usual –4 penalty.
The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with total concealment.
Bravado’s Blade (Ex): When a rake hits an opponent and deals sneak attack damage, she can forgo 1d6 points of that damage and make a free Intimidate check to demoralize the foe. For every additional 1d6 points of sneak attack damage she forgoes, she receives a +5 circumstance bonus on this check. This ability replaces trapfinding.
Finesse Training (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat.
