Awesome! And yeah definitely Svetlana for Treasurer. I get the feeling we'll suffer hard if we don't fill that position, and better with someone that isn't risking their lives on a daily basis. lol

Will post in a bit, most of what Jhod just laid on us is definitely in Faerin's area of concern

So my idea:
Let the new shrine to Erastil be built (let Jhod run point on it)
Plunder Temple of the Elk option(10 BP/ 14 days) +150 BP. Raze what's left, remove the taint from the site.
Find forested location to build Sacred Grove for Green Faith (ideas on how to mechanically do that here)

If you look on the Campaign tab, you will see a heading for current events (none at the moment), and current projects. Next to each will be the BP cost and length of time to complete in parentheses. For events, there will also be the reward for completion following the parentheses. For events, the reward is based on who is assigned to handle it and how well they do the job (the possibilities are: disaster, failure, success, and triumph). Events come in two types; Problems and Opportunities. They also jave time limits for starting to work them which will be listed when I post them. Generally, an expiring opportunity has no negative effect, while failing to assign someone to a problem and letting it expire will have a negative effect.
Currently, you are progressing two projects. When you assign soemone to an event or project, I will put a note that it is in progress and who was assigned. When it comes time for completion, the person assigned will make a roll to see if they successfully handled the situation. Events and projects will have between 1-3 advisors that are eligibkle to be assigned to them. Be careful when selecting so that you don't get stuck with events popping up that you can't assign someone to before they expire.
There is also a Kindom Status that can be affected by events, event resolutions, and decisions. Also, going into negative BPs can lower the status. Curerntly, your status is Stable. You can get to Serene (which gives all advisors an additional +1 to handle events), but you can also devolve into unrest. Unrest begins as Worried (-1), then Troubled (-2), then Rioting (-3), and finally, Crumbling (-4). If you stay at Crumbling for too long (I think 1 month) then your kingdom fails.
Good Luck!!
*EDIT* An advisor's DM modifier is based on their appropriate stat, you get an additional +2 modifier for every rank of your kingdom stat. There are also buildings and projects that can increase your modifier, either completely or situationally.

Okay, I will admit I was wondering how this would work.
WOW!Very cool.

For the two mssing positions, Tristian is the only real choice (currently) for Councilor, and either Octavia or Valerie as best options for Regent (we have someone coming in to play Valerie).
I support Valerie for Regent, and saving Octavia for Magister. I remember there being very few options for Magister.

Actually, either Reg (and Amiri takes over as General) or the Storyteller (who they haven't talked to yet) are probably going to be Magister. Valerie most likely moves to Grand Diplomat and Octavia takes over as Regent. In fact, Valerie is almost perfect as Grand Diplomat because of her previous training and noble background.

Okay, Sure. Who for Culture, then?

Hello! I'm going to read some of what's been happening to catch up. I'll take advice, if anyone has some.
Welcome Valerie! You've basically been handling things while we were gone setting up the Barony for a few weeks.
Valerie Medvyed |
Also, notice there is no longer an exotic weapon group. Instead any character that has a special class feature or racial feature that gives them proficiency in what was normally an exotic weapon instead gains Weapon Focus with that weapon.
I'm reading through the OOC thread now, and I saw this. I took Exotic weapon (Bastard sword)as my first level feat to properly play Valerie. Should I swap it for something?
Faerin Cordova |
It would become Weapon Focus Bastard sword, so since you already have that, you'd gain a feat.

Pyros don’t forget you now have Lord Protector (+2 dueling sword w/ other abilities) so you could probably toss the +1 in the for sale pile.
Faerin Cordova |
Can we discuss how the money works?
Reg needs to buy armor now that he's a shifter.
Claim anything you need or want from the items on hand. After everyone is equipped with anything they want or need, we sell what's left and distribute the cash.
5th level character WBL = 10,500gp so I'm assuming the 31,175 gp to be distributed among the previously existing party members since new members will have been built to proper character wealth.
Going forward we split pot evenly. Everyone benefits from characters having the equipment that works best for them.
Faerin Cordova |
I can post several times a week. I'd love to purchase a +1 Bastard sword. I could then use Warrior Spirit to grant it abilities as the need arises.
Considering a number of +1 weapons that will likely end up being sold I'm sure the money's there for you to get a +1 Bastard sword.
Faerin Cordova |
There were also these from the Staglord's fort battle
Agile Rapier (+1)
Glaive (+1)
Greatclub (+2)
Punching dagger(+1)
Kukri (+1)
light hammer (+1)
chain shirt (+1)
Pyros Aldori |
Yes, Pyros will be putting his old +1 Dueling Sword into the pile. Valerie, with luck and a bit of diplomacy you might could get a merchant to swap the dueling sword (or another +1 weapon) for a +1 bastard sword one for one. They’d be similar in value, and it’s a much better deal than selling two weapons at half value.
Regongar Stormborn |
+1 Lamellar (Horn) would be like 1250gp ...
lmk if I can move forward with that?
and if noone else is speaking for them, he can take the Savage Bow & Lesser Bracers also
Faerin Cordova |
I was thinking we might want to leave the bow for Ekun as primarily ranged, but if you think you would get more use out of it.

Just a note, I didn't use WBL for the new people, I gave them a starting set based on the progress. The same goes for evryone else now. You can get whatever mundane items (within reason) you want. Reg, you can easily trade one of the several suits of non-magical armor you acquired for an armor of your choice, but in 2 more levels, you will be able to wear medium armor with no penalty, by then you will acquire several types of magical medium armor you might prefer.

It's a matter of it having a high enough bonus AND not being made of metal though. Why would he get a penalty for medium armor tho?

Ah, I hadn't realized you weren't continuing as a Magus. I was talking about the arcane spell failure chance with armor, a Magus ignores that penalty for all mediumm armor at 7th level.

Shifter 1 gives him Medium Armor Proficiency so he doesn't have to wait on Magus 7 to wear it without penalty.
But Shifter is a non-casting class. You theoretically would still be prone to the normal arcane spell failure chance for casting in medium armor until Magus level 7

I certainly wouldn't say no to the Con belt, but it might be better on someone who has lower HP! The baron's survival is most important after all. And at some point, I'm going to try and get my oversized sword enchanted.
