Skyfall- An Only war story

Game Master Solar27

Map of current fight
This is a Warhammer 40K story set on the world of Skyfall, where 5,000 years ago demons and angels warred in the heavens and broke the sky. Now pieces of that war rain down upon the land and you are the Scavanger teams sent to reclaim those pieces of lost technology that might survive, from an area called the Skybreak.

This is your life and it's not an easy one, the Skybreak takes as much as it gives but it gave you hope of better times.

At least it did, until they came

It is very in keeping with 40k themes. ;)

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

The good news is I hit them but the bad news is I doubt it will hurt these very odd mutants!

Male Human Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: (Body 6/Head 4/Arms 6/Legs 4) | Fate: 3/3 |

How close are they?

52 meters= 6 legged
mutants =100m
I'm assuming that you set the traps about 30m out from you

That is about what I had in mind.

Jak and Duncan your up

Ogryn

Take care, Dunc.

I'll be moving this forward tomorrow night

I am sorry I dropped out for a while. My family life is getting really stressful right now, and I did not have any thoughts for my rpgs. I will post actions for Jak this morning.

I know there is one genestealer six-legged mutant left, can you tell me how many of the other palace forces are left?

No problem. These are weird times
There are 4 mutants left

@Jak: Understandable!

Ogryn

Sorry folks, been in hospital for a number of days now and been sleeping most of the day away. Might have to bot me for a bit. I will try to duck in more regularly now that my breathing is only mostly machine controlled.

Get well soon

Jak and Davien your up

I've completely blanked on what our squad logistics score is.

Can anyone fill me in on that?

It's 43 by my last count not including your +10 for the scavenger trait

@Duncan glad to see your feeling better

Ogryn

Slowly but surrely.

Is very rare -30 or -40?

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

Average +0
Scarce -10
Rare -20
Very Rare -30

No problem

Do you guys want to skip ahead to when your back at the ship or is there stuff you want to do with the tech tribe?

| 1 IP | 2 CP WS 31 BS 36 S 28 T 26 Ag 54 Int 34 Per 35 Wp 36 Fel 28 Wounds: 10/10 | Fatigue: 0 | Critical Damage: None | Fate Points 1/1 | Init +4 | Armour 4 body, 4 head and arms|

Skipping ahead is fine by me!

I currently have an earache so my response time might be affected.

Tell me when your going up to the comn tower and we'll start that scene

Male Human Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: (Body 6/Head 4/Arms 6/Legs 4) | Fate: 3/3 |

Are you going to turn us to chaos?

Ogryn

Looks that way. You didn't accept our lord and savior four armed bug gods.

Duncan is more of a greater good kind of person himself if we got to go with a heresy.

I'm going to give the optition to go either way

To be honest this was always the central question of the campaign: Order or Chaos.
What would an outsider (i.e. You lot) to 40k choose?
This is why I had you ruled by a Genestealer cult, so you'd have no pre-existing loyalties and you'd be forced to knowingly make the choice.

Though there will be a couple of junctions where you can switch sides if you want

Ogryn

I mean, I'm an Ogryn boss. You tell me I serve the Emperor no matter what arms he got, then that is good enough for me. You tell me I got a new grandpa and he loves me so much, well guess I am on team grandpa now.

| 1 IP | 2 CP WS 31 BS 36 S 28 T 26 Ag 54 Int 34 Per 35 Wp 36 Fel 28 Wounds: 10/10 | Fatigue: 0 | Critical Damage: None | Fate Points 1/1 | Init +4 | Armour 4 body, 4 head and arms|

I really think we should hash this out in character.

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

During the Horus Heresy most Ogryn on the side of the rebels were lied to by the officers giving them orders telling them they were still fighting for the Emperor. Easier to fool than convert... thats pretty old lore though.

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

We do have the problem of we do have pre existing loyalties... to the four armed God Emperor. We're on thin ice.

...lets defect to the Tau Empire.

I've played and run some Black Crusade so it's not a deal breaker for me as a player but Krevlor doesn't have all the facts and paranoia is fermenting.

Ogryn

Pretty much, I mean we don't need a plague ogryn is all I am thinking right now.

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

Lets go Tzeentch I want to see Dunc the sorceror supreme! He's got a surprisingly good willpower.

I'm fine with either. Both are fun and have their merits. Davien would be cautions, specially since whatever this was happened to need a sacrifice of a high ranking official from the guys that more than likely just saved our asses.

though, if one is to follow chaos, I've always found it better to be giving the orders, rather than receiving them, if ones long term concerns are a matter of import... if you catch my inkling. With chaos, the phrase, go big or go home fits in my own opinion.

Ogryn

Turns out Duncan was Nurgle Psyker all along.

Oh no. He likes loud noises and soft things. Duncan been Slaneshi all along...

Now that would be terrifying and yet somehow a concept that I want to see explored

Medic. FP: 1/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

From running Black Crusade in the early days you often have to earn the favour of the gods and reputation by working for more powerful champions as mercenaries... though being chaos sometimes mercenaries that aren't entirely trustworthy.

Ogryn

Or they can suddenly decide that random peasant is worth daemon prince status all of a sudden. Fickle and all that.

| 1 IP | 2 CP WS 31 BS 36 S 28 T 26 Ag 54 Int 34 Per 35 Wp 36 Fel 28 Wounds: 10/10 | Fatigue: 0 | Critical Damage: None | Fate Points 1/1 | Init +4 | Armour 4 body, 4 head and arms|

Well, Notch has made a case for signing up with the offworlders. They seem saner to him.

That said, OOC I think he could be convinced to another option.

Ogryn

Dunc just going to follow where he told. You guys good to Dunc.

sorry again all, just had graduation weekend! So have been busy with that as well!

Congratulations on graduating

also, I'm unsure if Dominastrum counts as a "more powerful champion" haha. Besides, if we do what chaos does best, and remove him, clearly he wasn't worth the chaos gods attention anyway :P.

I'm sure if no one else tzeentch would be pleased.

Congratulations, Davien!
