That's all folks
I decided to leave your characters fates ambiguous (yes this means Duncan too).
If you want them to live post where/when they ended up
So I wanted to end this with some shout out to all of you of my favourite moments in this campaign.
Personally it was this post by Krevlor
Krevlor wrote: "Two arms, learn to count heretic." "Of course he has four arms, twice as many as a normal man!" Krevlor gets onto his mount and gets his lance ready. Because it's when you all realized you were being used by a Genestealer cult.
That said Duncan figured it out first and win player of the game for keeping it to himself.
It really helped me nail the theme of ignorance I was going for in this campaign.
Here are my favour moments from the rest of you
@Notch for being the most consistent poster.
@Krevlor for the linked post
@Davien for reading from the book (you know the one)
@Jak for grabbing the vox caster, you have no idea how many narrative problems that solved
and @Duncan for being the comic relief this campaign needed
Thanks everyone. This was fun to run

The ForgeMaster leads the group through a side door leaving Duncan behind guns blazing surrounded by a growing pile of enemy bodies and the growing wine of the reactor.
After a short sprint down a corridor you reach the Teleportarium and the squad takes position on the pad while the ForgeMaster man the controls, refusing like Duncan to leave his forge.
The room is dark and shadows ring the pad, with the Forgemaster only illuminated by the light from his optical mechadendrites.
"Beginning initiation sequence, may the Omnissiah bless this machine and your journey."
The teleporter begins to whine as the power within it grows. The air around you shimmers as reality being to break down.
"Initiating teleportarium in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 !!" the Forgemasters voice cuts out as a claw punches through his chest. His light swings around to illuminate a Genestealer behind him.
His arms scramble wildly on the controls
Then the room floods with light and the taste of purple
10 minutes later the Reckless Dawn detects a nuclear explosion destroying the city of Calamity.
A small group of survivors are detected who when asked, attribute their survival to the man beside them.
A report on the planet is sent to the Adeptus Administratium. This report recommends immediate colonization and harvesting of the debris cloud.
This report is printed out and left in stack 37B.
By the time it is read the ink has faded and only one word is legible:
Skyfall
Yes make a willpower test (+0)
The dead body of the Magus twists on the floor before exploding into a showers of blood and bone.
For a moment time freezes and the pieces stitch themselves back together again, this time into a new more horrible form of unnatural and impossible angles

I know I did
I'm planning on ending this with you all running for the teleporter after this round, unless anyone has any last thing they want to do

@Duncan, no problem
@Davien The wording of force fields is horribly vague so I'm going to rule it as it goes off if you miss your dodge or can't dodge
6 Rounds left
Notchs' hunting lance makes contact with gaunt figure at Duncans' feet, reducing it to a red mist.
Daviens fire licks out and engulfs two of the other ones reducing them to a crisp.

@Duncan your auto cannon only has semi auto not full auto.
That said it only reduces you to two hits because you didn't take into account range or size (you got a +10 from each)
Here's the full rules for semi auto to save everyone digging though the book for them:
With precision and discipline, the active character fires a short,
controlled burst of semi-automatic gunfire at his enemies. The
attacker must be wielding a ranged weapon capable of semiautomatic
fire to take this Action. If the character has a pistol in
each hand, both capable of semi-automatic fire, he may fire both
with this Action (see Two-Weapon Fighting, page 252).
The attacker makes a Challenging (+0) Ballistic Skill
Test. A dice result of 94 to 00 indicates the weapon has
Jammed (see Weapon Jams, page 255). If he hits, he scores
a hit for the initial Degree of Success plus an additional hit
for every two additional Degrees of Success.
Duncan your grenade blast does clip some with blast 3
Grenade damage Duncan: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 8) = 17
The flurry of grenades and las fire rips through the group, killing one out right and stunning all bit one. Red
It charges Duncan and it's claw punches through the make shift barricade, missing him by inches
Another Gaunt figure drops from a vent to the side.
There is a tearing sounds as a claw punches through the door and the head of a 6 legged monster peers through.
Red at 4
Others at -6

The party comes to an area that looks like it was a garden long ago, before the forge was built around it.

Krevlor is able to spot the telltale signs of an ambush up ahead
"There is a teleportarium in the underForge not far from our destination but non who have gone through it have ever returned.
There are many great artifacts buried underneath here, the mag dome that is rumored to hold the bulk of the Skyfall above our heads."
I'll give you a way out but probably
The ForgeMaster gathers his servitors and leads the party down into the underforge.
As the journey continues the Forgemaster directs the servitors down side passages until only one servitors is left with the group.
"Your data has highlighted the uncertainty of the Dominastrums plan and the inherent risks involved.
As ForgeMaster I am hereby invoking the right of destruction.
Data exload, this will require the reaching the central core. Xeno's Hostiles are active in the tunnels leading towards them. As ForgeMaster I am requesting your aid in this endevour.
Do you comply?"

This is the conversation that defines the themes of this game
If anyone has anything to add, speak now or forever hold your peace
"Should we follow unit Sigismund Hallerman's rank General's plan all life in this city will die.
All machine spirits will pass to the Forge God.
The statues of the Scavengers guild will be destroyed along will all other culture.
Query, how is annihilation better than corruption?

The group is lead deeper into the Factories heart passing signs of battle damage and fortifications. Ruined machines block passes forcing you to take a winding route.
Soon you escorted up a tower, through lumen lit corridors, into a simple metal room.
In it's center, hung in a web of cables, hangs a red robed figure, covered as much by the cables as it's robes
An Optical mechadendrite rotates towards you.
"Former Scavenger squad, designation Steel Seekers, you have been summoned here to verify the true/false values of avenues of attack.
The Forge has been approached by Lord Dominastrum of the Scavengers and General Sigismund Hallerman of the Helldivers. Both have approached the blessed forges with strategies of defeating the Xeno's.
General Sigismund Hallerman of the Helldivers has suggested detonating the forges sacred Plasma core. This would cause an explosion with a blast radius above that of all theoretical attainable distances guaranteeing the lost of life to all personnel and machines in the city.
Lord Dominastrum of the Scavengers has suggested interfacing the plasma core with a blade. This blade has been examined by Adept A68. A68 subsequent attacked all near by personnel and has subsequently terminated.
As a force that has fought alongside both forces do you have any additional data into the True/false values of these emissaries plans?"
12 servitors, custom made weapons and armour.
Most have a shock weapon melee weapon and an autogun but 4 have power fists and plasmaguns.
Each is armoured with the equivalent of heavy carapace armour.
The craftmanship look best quality, if a bit damaged.
This was probably made by the ForgeMaster or a senior mago's
AS the squad approaches the Enginseer factory you see a group of heavily armed servitors guarding the main gate.
On the ground next to them you see the body of a Helldiver.
An auspex pings you and the group pivots towards you.
"Designation Steel Seekers detected, Lower your weapons and follow us to the Blessed ForgeMaster. Resistance would be inefficient"
I'm moving timings foward this Sunday to the final encounter
Refresh all fate points and gain 500 exp
"Dominastrum was last seen entering the Engine-Seers factories"
Make up to 3 rolls on the above table

Dominastrum: 1d100 ⇒ 46
Scavengers: 1d100 ⇒ 76
Loyalist: 1d100 ⇒ 75
That's 4 left outside of PC action so lets wrap this combat up
The covering fire of the Loyalists falters and the combined Scavenger, Dominastrum forces surge forward, ending them.
The way to the city is now clear.
Abstracting stuff to keep this flowing. To simulate that this is a war zone take 1d5 damage (dodgeable) per DOS of failure.
So if you fail by 40 take 4d5 damage which you can make a dodge or parry test to avoid
Ok this is taking too long. Its pretty clear to me by know that 40K combat doesn't work too well on play by post once the fights get big.
The rest of the fighting through the city will be handled in a more abstract way and we'll move onto the final scene of this campaign.
At this point I would just like to say that I've really enjoyed this campaign, the RP and commitment from all the players has been great.
I hope you've all enjoyed this as much as I have
@Davien great idea unfortunately Duncan just put an anti tank round through that officers head, he could not be more dead. Feel free to post another action with the same rolls
