With total defense and Saving Shield, Jamir's AC would be 29 (he has at least 3 ranks in acrobatics, I think). Was the total defense taken into account GM?
If it does have +14 to hit or higher, then yeah, we're not walling that off and will need to see if we can hurt these faster than they can hurt us before we run out of weapons.
It does look like its got DR 5 of some type, which is going to be problematic. If that last attack is a hit on Jamir, Katswiri will probably heal to buy time since it looks like they don't hit too hard.

![]() |

Correct - Jamir has 4 ranks in Acrobatics, so +6 dodge bonus to AC from total defense, and +2 shield bonus from Saving Shield. The dodge bonus stacks with the dodge bonus Jamir already gets from Nimble Moves, but shield bonuses do not stack, so the +2 from Saving Shield outweighs the +1 from his buckler. His AC for the round should be 22+6+2-1=29.
@GM - Please let me know if the column hit, it will affect what Jamir does this round.

I plan on just attacking the statues with the MW longswords until they all break. Aroden has one of his own, if somebody else can go fetch the others.
He won't do a ton of damage, but might get some lucky crits if I use Prescience. And he has enough HP to soak a few attacks if Katwsiri and/or Robyyn can heal him.
Unfortunately, we do not have the time to be more cautious and spend more rounds buffing, or go for a more involved plan. We have a month left in Outpost so I think we need to wrap this fight up in a couple of rounds in order to still have time for the remaining parts of the scenario.

![]() |

That is a valid concern, but I'm not sure we can do a lot about it. Do you have any more Create Pit spells Aroden? I think that we're going to have really big problems killing these quickly unless we're able to trap both of them in pits and just drop alchemical damage on them.
Unless its got a DR type we end up being able to penetrate (which I don't think so; most constructs are usually DR/- or DR/Adamantine, I think) Katswiri and Aroden are both going to do an average of 2.5 damage per hit without crits. Same with the bow shots. I think Jamir is the only one who can really hurt them due to his precise strike, but they'll quickly destroy his rapier, and I don't know if we have a lot of backup piercing weapons to sub in. Any attempt to melee them is going to take a while here with this group.

No more Create Pit spells, and I already used my bonded item spell.
I generally avoid taking many "SR: No" spells because I think monsters with SR or Magic Immunity are intended to give the martials a chance to shine. I think the changes to Magic Immunity from 3.0 to 3.5 were ill-advised and I try not to exploit that.
Haste should double our damage output (well, +50% for Myth), which helps us chip away at them even with the DR.
It's also possible that the "intentional flaws" we found on the other destroyed constructs may apply to these in some way. Maybe a Perception check to identify a weak point?

Just this morning, I was pondering a solution to speed this up.

Just a head's up. I'll be on a cruise for a week starting this Saturday so my posting will be spotty at best; please bot me if I'm holding things up. Three of the places we're porting, I'm supposed to have coverage so, hopefully, I should be able to post several times but there's no guarantee...

GM Uktar |

While we still have a ways to go, let's get Boon roll out of the way.
Everyone roll a d20 and d4. Good luck

Hi team, my apologies for disappearing at the end of last week. My life took a bit of a messy turn, but I'm getting it back on track. I don't know that I'll catch up entirely today, it may be until tomorrow or Thursday until I get get back on track with all of my games. Thanks for any botting you've done, and please feel free to keep botting until you see a post from me in Gameplay. Thanks!

GM, I was prepared to post for the last day or so but Myth's name was never in bold so I thought you didn't wish me to post yet...

Apologies for running behind. Work has been a rabid bear this week and I’ve just had a chance to catch up on reading. I’m ready to post at present.

You were stunned by the Sound Burst that first round. You'll be up soon.

GM Uktar |

I asked for a Fortitude save from Mythrydyr (and others) on Saturday.
3 days later I rolled it for you.

Oh no worries, GM, it was all my fault...I sometimes get easily confused and was thinking that I was supposed to roll the save when it was my turn...was just letting you know why I didn't post...

GM Uktar |

No worries. This has been a terrific, knowledgeable group. Been a fun run, and if we weren't already auguring in on the date to wrapup, I would've skipped the botting entirely.
As it is, we'll probably run a little over, but this is the final fight.
Cheers!

Thanks for running a fun game, GM Uktar! And thanks to my fellow players for the great RP! Craggark, Myth, I was glad to get part of the original band back together. Now to get back to fleeing from those bat swarms in the other campaign...

![]() |

Great game all!
I haven't played the scenario that wraps up the Scarab Sages storyline so I really don't know what Torch has planned, but I do want to find out someday...

![]() |

@GM, and all of the players, thanks so much for a great game! I want to apologize again for my absence there at the end. The details are unimportant, but my personal life jumbled up there a few weeks ago, and I just haven't been as good as I wanted to be at picking up the pieces. Everything's fine, and I'll be fine, but it was (and still is) a bit of mess. I'll be reducing the amount of games I play in until I get things back on track again, but I will look forward to playing with any of you again sometime in the future. The roleplay at this table has just been exceptional!
Thanks again!
Craft (alchemy), alchemist's lab, day job: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 13 + 2 = 24

Day Job, Craft: Painting: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

GM Uktar |

No worries, Robyyn. Hope you didn't mind my botting choices; tried to follow the spirit of your bot instructions along with common sense.
CRAGGARK
1) I hope the baby is doing well and sleeping lots (for the sake of both parents)
2) Are you going to make a craft-sculpture roll, or something else for downtime/day job?

GM Uktar |

ROBYYN
it looks like you never made a roll for a boon, and I have to have it in order to report, so I'm afraid I'm botting it:
Robyyn BOON!: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Alas, I fell a bit short.

GM Uktar |

Scenario reported. Chronicles to follow once I have the last few pieces of info.

Hiya! I’ll make use of my Day Job proficiency through The Exchange faction boon that I have. I think I posted the text of it earlier in this thread.
Baby and Mum (and 2yo spitfire) are all well. Thanks for tolerating my on-again off-again shenanigans. Myth, Jamir - it was great to get the band back together!
Edit: I just checked the text of my faction boon: I get a minimum 25gp day job reward regardless of the following roll, but I get the greater of the two:
That Roll (Craft Sculpture): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Thanks again, GM!!!

Here are your chronicles:
Link to Chronicles
Please let me know once you've downloaded yours, and let me know if there are any problems or questions. I'll be looking to make this campaign inactive within a week.
Thanks.
Hope y'all had fun, and see you on the boards!

Jamir’s Chronicle looks good - thanks again!
