I'll be attending a real life con this weekend, so my posting may become slow or stop entirely from midafternoon today until late Sunday or Monday. Bot me if necessary (especially since I'm possessed).

Just a heads-up, found out how to update Id's art to a more shirren-y picture. Feel free to keep using the existing portrait for combat maps.

Sorry for the wall of text--lots of information in this museum. I tried to break it up by putting each section in a different post. It's worth taking time to read through, though, as it contains a lot of information about this season's meta-plot.

![]() |

You're right! Tons of great information!

![]() |

FYI: I will be having same-day surgery on 4/9 and unlikely to post that day (at least not coherently).

![]() |

Hope you have a speedy recovery. Thanks for letting me know; that shouldn't be any problem.

![]() |

Haha, almost. 4 oozemorphs and one halfling mesmerist. I took it over from another GM who was overloaded.

Natural 1s aren't auto-miss in Starfinder. :)
I'm afraid you're mistaken on that.
A natural 1 (the d20 comes up 1) on an attack roll is always a miss. A natural 20 (the d20 comes up 20) is always a hit. A natural 20 is also a possible critical hit, which could deal more damage (see Critical Hits on page 245).

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Really? I've been looking for that rule since GenCon 2017. It's probably some place obvious too...
Well, don't I feel dumb! :)
EDIT: Bottom left of page. I don't know why I missed it, but at least I can imagine how I missed. *self-depreciating shake of the head*

![]() |

What, you don't have every word of that book memorized!!?!?? :P

![]() |

Well, no, but I actually looked for that rule on multiple occasions. Boon to my players who rolled 1s before today. :)

![]() |

If you have any changes to your reporting info (like using an unused re-roll on a day job check) now's the time to post them.

![]() |

Boon rolls! Following the instructions from our wonderful VC, my roll will be first followed by players in alphabetical order. Win on a 19 or 20.
Dennis boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Blake's Tiger boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Christopher Wasko boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 3
eddv boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 19
EwokBanshee boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Kate Baker boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Matthais777 boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Dennis - which boon?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
eddv - which boon?: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Kate Baker - which boon?: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Breq, looks like you never posted your reporting info. Please give me the following:
1) Player Name:
2) Character Name:
3) Character number:
4) Faction:
5) Character level:
6) Day Job roll:

Aww, spouse boons! <3
Thanks for running, Dennis! Had a great time ^_^
Only revision is that I noticed I had made a day job check on an earlier scenario when I also crafted an item, which I couldn't do because they both use downtime. It wasn't enough to affect purchases, but it's not kosher, so to spare me lots of retroactive calculating, I'll just "move" that Day Job result to this Chronicle and not take a downtime action for this scenario. Could you just mark "Chronicle 15" for my day job box?
EDIT: Could you also add a 2 Fame purchase of the Second Seekers (Jadnura) Champion faction boon, and the sale back of Improved Drift Engine for 1 Fame?

![]() |

Well, shoot! Here ya go!
1) Player Name: EwokBanshee
2) Character Name: Breq Torren
3) Character number: 240237-703
4) Faction: Wayfinders
5) Character level: 3
6) Day Job roll: Day Job (Lawyer): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

Alright, HERE are your chronicle sheets. Let me know if you spot any errors or anything. It was great playing with you all, and I hope to see you at a future table!

Chronicle looks good! Thanks again!

Thank you for running! It was great! Chronicle looks sweet!
