1) One permanent Hero Point may be used to avoid a final death scenario allowing a narrow cinematic escape,
2) One temporary Hero Point may be used if you are between -1 and -9 hit points to stabilize yourself to prevent further blood loss,
3) Temporary Hero Points may be expended to power Feats. These grant a lasting bonus for a one scene or one round duration depending on the feat description,
4) One temporary Hero Point grants a character a chance to supplement their d20 roll by 1d6 and add the result (whatever it was - no re-roll) to the d20 result,
5) No more than one Hero Point may be expended per round.

Also i need to start reading the new D&D5 Eberron book soon, didn't have a chance over christmas.
Anyone else read it?
I saw it but I did not get it. I have reached complete saturation with RPG books. I will not be able to run what I own before I die so I don't plan on getting anything new...

That both makes me smile :D
Your games are very good and I like them.
Also very nice coplayers here.
As much as I would like to raise the speed I have to admit right now a slow speed suits me. It changes with the tides of life and work, which go up and down for all of us.
Also I understand that point of saturation, I'm reaching out slowly but steadily myself.
There's so much pathfinder stuff left for me, starfinder and pathfinder 2 are on top of that, not taking about other systems even.
And free lifetime is a very limited resource.

This is me too. Too many new books and games...not enough time to spend with my 5 year old. Eventually he will reach the age of RPG gaming...

My daughter likes to roll dice but gets bored pretty fast watching us play so I am doubtful that she will be playing RPGs. I may attract her to some board games in a few years but at 6 attention span for Arkham Horror just is not there :-)

6 is too early. Try something that Laura for 30 minutes max.
Then try a bit more every year.
I did PFS with 8-12 year olds, that worked pretty well with their parents.
Of course we simplified interaction a bit.

I am fifty and my two youngest played in my home game for some years as a bard(who told dirty jokes played by my youngest) and an elven rogue(played by my daughter) who both made 12 and retired from Pathfinder play as seekers
Was planning on posting last night but got busy with other things and by the time I freed up it was too late. Will try and push things forward no later than Friday.

I made a mistake in my last post. The base eldritch blast is not force damage. It is pure arcane energy and does not possess an energy type. Dunno if that will make any difference.
my guess is that the blasted construct is immune or resistant to magic, the way so many constructs tend to be xD
edit: Frank is also curious about the beast, but its vulnerabilities in general rather than in regards to that specific spell
I just realized that I forgot to roll in the gameplay thread xD
Knowledge (Arcana):1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
edit2: darn, only 14. I guess I'll just not know stuff xD

I specified I filled a couple of canteens and have two on my character plus I want to still carry some water. How many canteens were with the barrels? I am hoping you might roll random and let me get a few to fill as we talked about it before I entered and resources being what they are we should nail that down

OK!
I would day about 12 canteens were available. That would empty about 2/3rds of a barrel.
