My sincere apologies too all and especially the GM for prolonged absence.
Had to deal with a heavy flu and then this global situation developed, which causes me even more work on top of a heavy workload right now.
Additionaly childcare is closed, so i have a 3 year old at home at all times who needs to be loved and entertained.
I work in a german trading chain in IT, but in this situation most people are also out supporting different markets, so people can buy their toilet paper and stuff.
I would really love to return to this game if possible!

Remember its a Protection from Energy scroll. Not protection from HEAT. Heat is Endure Elements. A simple but often underused spell...
Are you saying the monster behind that door won't use fire damage? :P
Also, depending on our GM, heat damage might count as Fire damage (which would make Resist Energy better, and might make Protection from Energy slightly worse)
Related: Red dragons don't have Endure Elements or anything besides their immunity to fire. If heat isn't a kind of fire damage, then Red dragons can die of heat stroke in the desert even with plenty of water...

There is supposed to be a FAQ that explains the relationship between Heat and Fire. I cannot, of course, find it.
I will make a ruling. Immunity to Fire grants Immunity to Heat. Resistance to Fire grants Resistance to Heat DAMAGE. However, you will still suffer from the resulting Fatigue if you fail the Fortitude save.
I will give another day for people to chime in, then I will make checks for everyone who does not make one.
This is the room that you need to be in considering what you saw in the crystal ball room...
