My House Rules for Hero Points:

Hero Point Mechanics:

1) One permanent Hero Point may be used to avoid a final death scenario allowing a narrow cinematic escape,

2) One temporary Hero Point may be used if you are between -1 and -9 hit points to stabilize yourself to prevent further blood loss,

3) Temporary Hero Points may be expended to power Feats. These grant a lasting bonus for a one scene or one round duration depending on the feat description,

4) One temporary Hero Point grants a character a chance to supplement their d20 roll by 1d6 and add the result (whatever it was - no re-roll) to the d20 result,

Progression system:
Level 1-10 1d6,
Level 11-20 2d6,
Level 21-?? 3d6. and

5) No more than one Hero Point may be expended per round.

That works for me.

Gauntlet is not much for consumables unless it helps him repair his damage.

As afar as the wand of MM is concerned: I carry a wand sheath in my left arm. Once it's empty again I just want to have something I can put in it as needed if nothing else comes along later.

Otherwise somebody else can have the wand if they may need it or have a good UMD.

Also, who is most likely to disarm a trap (possibly with his face) in the workshop? I vote that guy wear the cloak for now xD

(Frank likes to hoard things and can carry a few more pounds in his haversack, so I'll assume that Frank is holding on to the consumables that no one else claims...)

EE is our skilled Trapfinder. He should get the cloak if he does not already have one yet.

EE can find traps but not disarm them. Since some other characters had the ability, our beloved Warforged retrained his skill so as to not overlap niches too much.

I think after the reworks, we decided Kana was our best trap-disabler?
Especially magical ones, and especially-especially if B might be upstairs.

How about EE and Gauntlet up front, and if they find anything, Kana disables it?

So we have two plans:

1. Frank heads in to scout initially, OR
2. The Group heads in full force with the 'Forged leading the way.

OR option 3. Frank can scout THEN after he returns, have the 'Forged forge forward. :-)

Give me an idea of which you all prefer, 1, 2, or 3 (which is sort of like 1 & then 2).

As far as scouting goes, B is the best at reporting back (telepathic connection with Frank), best at being extracted (standard action in emergencies), most disposable (if she dies, she comes back the next day at half hp), quite sneaky (I can improve this by 8 with a buff), and probably also the best at spotting things :D

In fact, scouting is what B is for :3
Frank might be too spooked by the weird bird, but I think B should make a few Perception and/or Stealth and/or Disable Device checks before nondisposible teammates head in xD

I never said we were disposable...just the most easily repairable.

I will go with whatever the consensus is. Gauntlet is really not in any hurry to go into any Cannith place. He has bad memories of similar places, but is not afraid to go in first either.

By "most disposable", I didn't actually mean she's disposable per say, just that she... can die without staying dead; i.e. she's the character that we have to keep alive the least.

I could've said "least necessary to protect", but the rest of my list was things she's best at, so I had to make a will save not to phrase it backwards like that :P

I clearly favor staying together and not somebody going alone.
That sucks at table and even more in Pbp^^
Even though it might be the better tactics.

We can do some scouting ahead though, perhaps a room or something.

Yeah, I wanted to give a few more days to PCs that have not responded much to see if they want to go down the ladder before I have Gauntlet use the key charm.

Only Gauntlet is down there at the moment. There is enough room for half of you comfortably. ALL of you could crowd in, if you want to...
