A new blog post complete with a rules update. Major changes:
Proficiency and DCs - Level-4 if Untrained in something, plus DCs lowered across the board.
Another Revision to Death and Dying
New use for the Medicine Skill
Multiclass Archetype Update - Archetypes for all classes released
Individual class changes, specifically: Alchemist, Monk, Paladin, Rogue, Sorcerer
They also announced they are working on changing Resonance, but haven't finalized the new system yet. However, they have definitely decided that you will always be healed when you drink a healing potion. Whether that means it doesn't cost Resonance to use, or you have to spend Resonance to heal more than the minimum, they do not say.

In rules version 1.4, we've modified Ancestries somewhat. Now, when you choose your Ancestry, you also choose a Heritage which gives some additional physical attributes, in addition to choosing an Ancestry feat. Take a look.
Now if you'll excuse me, Half-Elf is now a Human Heritage, so I have another Ancestry feat to choose.

I now have the Skilled Human Ancestry Feat, and have added Stealth to my list of Trained skills. This is partially because I lost the Gifted Speaker aspect of the Half-Elf Ancestry Feat, which took away my free Trained skill in Diplomacy. So I had to get it back. And got another Skill in the process.

I am now a Versatile human, and have gained another ancestry feat. I took Adapted Spell, and chose Electric Arc as my cantrip, giving me a decent ranged attack option. I also updated my untrained skills (finally), to be level-4 instead of level-2, now I really suck at some things. :)

I'm really sorry for being AWOL for a week.
I got one of those nasty emails, threatening me that all my systems had been taken over, and all my 'secrets' be shared.
Which, upon asking around, has apparently been received by a lot of people.
I'd normally have deleted, blocked, and forgotten, but they quoted my Paizo password at me, so I needed to be sure they'd not got any others, by installing new security, and methodically going through every site I use, changing passwords.
The new security seemed to not like an existing program, and I'd be frozen up a few web pages in. I think I've sorted it now; Dropbox churning out reams of error messages, which I've now uninstalled.
I couldn't post on Paizo without freezing up, and I'd taken on a new role at work, which meant I was in training and being micromanaged all day.
I'd like to continue, but accept if I've been replaced.
I should be able to get back into a normal posting routine now.

Cleric channel energy got hit by the 1.6 nerf bat, and I went from 4 to 1. As I've already used that channel energy to heal, and didn't memorize any for the day, we are out of healing :)

I don't think so? I believe I was at full hp (17) and took 11 damage, so I should be OK, unless I missed damage from before.

I will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend here in the US, starting tomorrow. I will have my phone, but cannot guarantee my posting availability. Please bot me if necessary.

Brewmaster Ziggie Ironstout |

After a short rest, Ziggie walks over to a steel shield he had previously set concave-side up in a corner after pouring something he cooked up into it. Now he drags it over to the center of the room and begins smashing the pommel of his dagger into it and you hear a crackling sound.
He tilts the shield over a cast-iron pot and dumps its contents: small shattered panes of clear bluish crystal. He then wraps a bandanna around his nose and mouth and whips out a pencil-thin steel cylinder. He uncaps it and carefully pours a white powder out of it, adding it to the pot. While lightly heating the pot he drips some highly distilled spirits into it until all is just barely dissolved.
After pouring the potent concoction into a flask, he offers it to GM Shadowtail, saying "Oy, have a few swigs of this and not only will work go by like a breeze, you'll want to GM six new games at once! Well, at least for the first week. Then you'll probably hallucinate that your head is an otyugh and you have to slay it with a potato-peeler. At least that's the way it happened with Garrold."
"Still, start with the swiggin' and I'll try to brew up something to deal with the hallucinations...". While digging through various fungi in his pouches, he mutters "...hrmm, maybe if I can balance it out... add a hallucination that the otyugh is a sorcerer that has ye charmed...".
