Howdy. If you're a member of one of my games, then here are a few rules I'd like you to follow:
1. Please post at least once a day.
2. Under your name, please add a stat block. Most important stats:
- Hit Points
- AC
- Saving Throws
- Perception Bonus
3. Any skill with the Secret tag should be rolled privately. If I show the DC, feel free to make the roll openly. Otherwise, there are 2 ways to do this in my games:
- You can say which skill and which bonus you want to apply. (Example: "I use Occultism +5 to investigate the skull's mystic origin.")
- Or you spoiler your dice roll and everyone sticks to the honor system of not opening it.
Get your >Pathfinder Provisions<
Once you have your character selected, please go to RPG Chronicles and post your character's details there >Sign Up Page<

I will playing the game with this character. Lesser healing potion for Pathfinder Provision.

I'm pretty sure we'll be playing this scenario in high tier. Anyone who is level 1 benefits from a PC Level Bump
- Increase every DC the PC has by 1.
- Increase the attack modifiers, attack damage, spell damage, saving throw modifiers, skill modifiers, Perception modifiers, and AC of the PC by 1.
- Increase the total hit points of the PC by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher.
If any high level character has Mentor Boons to offer Father Emil, he can choose them as well.

Much appreciated. I did not start developing 2E characters until recently, so I all my PCs are 1st level.
I will put these modifiers where I'll see them on my profile for the duration of the adventure.
The numbers in Emil's post header have been modified for the PC Level Bump.

Mahatma is Vigilant Seal and can offer Combat Mentor.

I have Worldly Mentor boon for Father Emil.
Normal: A Level Bump increases a PC’s Perception modifier by 1.
Special: A PC can only benefit from two mentor boons.

Heather has Protective Mentor - +3 extra hp.

I'm a little puzzled by everyone saying they don't have the skills to try recall knowledge. The attempt can be done untrained using your default (just the attribute bonus if any). It may be a low chance but why not try in case you get a high roll? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the roll?

Because a critical fail, (failing for 10 or more, or rolling a 1) likely results in potentially problematic false information.
If say the DC is 15 and you've got a +0
That's 5% Critical Success
25% Success
45% Failure
25% Critical Failure.
Lots of people judge that as not worth the risk.

Secret Checks: Unless a scenario says otherwise, GMs are free to choose how to handle secret checks PC pg. on a check-by-check basis and adapt based on the mood and pacing of the table.
If players rolling their own secret checks use information that their characters would not have to determine their actions, then remind them their characters would not have that information and encourage them not to use it. See Running Secret Checks for further discussion.
Metagaming based on knowing you rolled low on a secret check is at the very least strongly discouraged.
| GM chadius |
If it's a secret check, you can either tell me your bonus or you can roll it in a spoiler. That way you don't know if the results are accurate or false.
This avoids situations like rolling a 1 on your Perception check as I say "you don't see anything in the room." Because the player knows they failed, teammates will tend to also search the room.
Recall Knowledge are Secret Checks, so normally you would put them in a spoiler or ask me to roll it for you.
If it's not a secret check, you should roll openly.
If it is a secret check but if I tell you what the DC is you can roll openly. Usually this is for low stakes stuff or so we can hurry up the game (as Play by Post can really slow down sometimes.)

I nominate Heather, Hadrimos, and Emil
Emil had the most sub-20 roll results (mostly because he's lower level) and Hadramos had next most. Heather and Wisel were tied for next, but Heather had made more posts with rolls, so she's participating a bit more.

I will be out of town Thursday and Friday. I should have access to WiFi and will try to post, but 'bot me if needed. Profile has dicebots for skills, attacks, and magic.
Next round Emil will move the rest of the way to the island where the wounded are and do more healing if needed. If he can tell the healing already done is sufficient to keep the injured there from dying and if someone in combat needs help more urgently, he will move as needed and cast healing spells or make attacks to help.
