So if Thunk was smart but now is not (due to a bash on the head),
and he still thinks he is smart on the inside but his outer voice gets things 'garbled',
Does that mean his true name is not Thunk?
That he tries to say his real name but it just gets twisted on the way from his inner smart self to the dumber outer voice?
I am looking forward to the day when he can communicate as his true self with no dumb filter, but I really do enjoy the dichotomy of narration you provide.

Smoog |

O.K. well if anyone is going to end up part machine, I guess Smoog is the most likely one?
I guess he better start working on his robotic hand.

Greas |

Greas? Reorganise the groups? Never.
In all seriousness, Sees never gave Greas any instructions other than to open the door before he left. Also, as far as he's aware, the only reassignment he would have done himself would be Thunk and Krish - Krish wasn't going with your orders anyway, and SOMEONE had to accompany him. And Thunk...would have tried to thump the Deathclaw, in all odds. That, or had tea and crumpets with it. Given that Thunk doesn't appear to be suited for stealth on top of that, it's not exactly a stretch to send him to the group that doesn't have to deal with a giant raging monster if he does something.
It doesn't exactly appear that this reorganisation is so relevant anymore currently, given the explosions and all, but given the situation at hand he made sound decisions that ensured nobody was set to a task unsuited to them.
Of course, this assumes Thunk isn't going to unbalance the groups to see the big monster.

Oadir |

Sees, we both already got hurt. Also I'm really hoping I can either get my eye placed back or otherwise I'd still totally love that eye implant. Oadir on the other hand is actually quite peeved. He treats his body like a temple and missing an eye is not something he really wants to maintain, a prosthetic, even if it is better than the original, would feel just wrong, but it's always better than nothing.
As a player though I am looking forward to Kakashi Oadir with the super versatile hidden eye.

See, I was visualising single rolls from you guys. A single roll to get the door open, a single roll to do a quick scout check, a single roll sniffing the ghosteses, come back, make a plan, everyone gets +1 to razing Estr, we move as a team from objective to objective with a plan.
But noooo everybody wants to barrel ahead. Everybody wants to fight Deathy McDeathface in broad daylight.
Well, this time Sees isn't going to be a part of that. Sees is going to take a nap, because aparently her acorn heals status effects.

We do not need guarding against the monster! The monster is a bit too unconscious at the MINIMUM to be a threat!
We don't know that. Personally I don't understand why we would split the party again. The "scout" party and the "Deathclaw" party can accomplish their goals together.

To the first, I'd think that would be the implication after a bunch of explosions and no more raging monster sounds, though I suppose it's true. And the second...yeah, you have a point. One I shall likely make use of since I'm butting heads with Thunk again.
Also, what Sees said. It should cut down on time.

A partial for Arcane Arts means she draws unwanted attention or the effects include an additional target. It's one of the stumbling points in the Bard playbook design, since I'm often casting before or after an encounter. I joke because I know it would be butts to deal with as a DM because there are better ways to resolve the partial that aren't covered in the book.

Smoog |

Sorry Oadir. Smoog has no way of knowing about your missing eye and this is just how he would be using his free time to inspect his new gadget. If you are still without an eye when you return, Smoog will do everything he can to try and help you.

Hegh will bring snacks.

Oadir |

Yeah I figured as much. I must say I was ever so slightly disappointed but hey it's your eye so there you go. Hegh I would much more appreciate you bringing my eye, unless that is what you meant by snacks, in which case Oh god please no don't eat that I need it!

Oadir, don't worry about your missing eye, Doctor Retzack is there to patch you up. He doesn't have it listed on his character sheet, but the necromancer PDF lists the following move:
Replacement Parts
Your knowledge of stitching together corpses allows you to reattach body parts, such as severed limbs, eyeballs, or teeth. It takes you a few hours and you’ll need the original body part or one that is similar to the original. Besides stitch lines and a slight odor, the body part is as good as new.

Oadir |

I don't want no Oadir odor. He sees his body as a temple to the elements dam it. Only the highest quality and performance are good enough. /childish rant
No but seriously that's going to take quite a bit of convincing, as he might rather just freeze it over or something.
And I do like the Oador as a concept.

So, what, you want a different eye? A better eye? Hey, there's lots of eyes to choose from. Just yank one out and I'll see what I can do. There's lotsa people walkin' around with -two- eyes. Just grab one and let's get you fixed!

This is that scene in the adventure movie where Dame McScrappy and Wise Oldman think they can get something done without Guy Hero. The camera pans in from the candle-lit library, and they whip out the map and say: "See, this is easy. Anyone could do Guy Hero's job. We can explore without a native guide because we know trivia about stone-working and dead cultures." Then the camera pans out and they're in a dark tunnel in the deepest darkest part of the dungeon and the torch starts to gutter.

I think, if both of them survive this, Sees and Greas are going to find a private moment and complain about how every one else is such a Leroy Jenkins. They bond and, in a fit of passion, have sloppy makeouts and knock Sees up. Sees tries to cover it up, because her mother's father was a black Kobold, so of course they'll come out black. It skips a generation. She gets everyone to take care of one egg to prove who can be a real father. Thunk's padawan ends up killing Emanuel and Hegh's daughter is super distraught over not getting to avenge her father's death even though it's really Greas. Greas am your father. All in episode VII A New Hope, but for Dragons.

Oadir |

But... aren't you a Black Kobold? Wouldn't that explain the matter immediately?
I mean your image isn't entirely black but certainly leaning more towards that then any other colour in my eyes.

Greas |

Shhh, shhhh...don't let logic get in the way of their fantasies. Otherwise, Greas, a fit of passion? Pffffft. Passionate rage against Thunk, maybe. That's some clever application of Charming & Open to get him to do that. Greas has no time or inclination for such things.
Yeah, that'll be the excuse when he gets manipulated into doing it anyway. Greas'd probably be an overprotective father to say the least, but who knows? He may surprise me.

Sees-Death |

Sees-Death is black and red like a gila monster.

Oadir |

I was going to say Oadir doesn't know that but when you needed a shirt you would've shown the red as well.
Anyway Oadir is currently disgruntled for not being allowed to stay and hold. He's going to want some good news when he gets back, seeing a spark I one of the new additions could help, maybe the other female, she's got the right backstory for it nd everything.
I'm not letting go of that Defend 13 roll

Questions you guys are probably asking:
1. Why make the croc immortal?
He's not immortal, the GM has to make sure the croc lives, which means we don't have to get it down to 0 hp. It'll run away... or something.
2. Why not kill Tallest Silver?
That's too easy. The power isn't active. Sees-Death isn't willing someone to death, she sees who will live and who will die. I want this move to act against Sees-Death's personal interests 9 times out of 10.
3. What did Eats-Bugs ever do to deserve killing?
Well, he only dies if the GM deems it possible. I'm testing to see if GMooshy will kill a character if I tell him to and we go out of our way to defend that character, to see what kind of fictional clout this move really has. I can't do that if I name someone we were going to kill anyway. Also, he ate uncooked bugs. That's gross.

![]() |

As the wounded party, I'd like to take a crack at this.
1) You're underestimating Mooshy's guile. The croc has two other crocs who, through amazing accident, may sacrifice themselves to see him live, all the while happily munching on us.
2) Why would you roll dice for a move that is against your personal interest?
3) Why are you testing something that is already spelled out in the rules? No matter what we do, I'd bet all of the dollars that Mooshy can find a way to kill Eats-Bugs. That's just what DW is about.
I'm not one to whine or complain, but you have just killed the only character I had built a dialogue with.
