About Hegh

Description: Burning Eyes, Muscled Body, White Skin, Whiplike Tail

Load:3/23

Race: Kobold – Cruelty: When your dragon’s desire overtakes you, you have a burning need to make someone suffer, by any means available. Whenever you take damage, you take +2 forward to damage against the cause of your damage. You lose this bonus when you next take damage.

Inventory:

Inventory:
1. Ancient Sword (close, valuable, 1 weight)
2. Drakerider's Helm (1 weight,1/combat turn damage roll against ally into debility of Hegh's choice, a helmet made of the skullbone of a drake, with a hood covering your neck hanging from it and a faceguard)
4. Dungeon Rations (0 uses, 0 weight)
5. Kobold Underling (+1 Loyalty, +2 in a skill of your choice, and a Cost of your choice)
6. 47 coins
7. a small pouch, taken from a dwarf's pockets. Inside the pouch will be a firm container made of unidentifiable bone, and inside the bone container is what looks like a collection of about 15 blue and yellow purple pills. (Confirmed MDMA) (1 weight?)
8. Spellbook. Many of the pages have been ripped out - maybe the orcs needed toilet paper - but 8 pages remain within, with 5 different spells recorded. The fifth and final spell takes up three pages of explanation, whereas the other 4 only took a page each. The book is written in Draconic script, so you can understand it. (Smoog's Possession now)

Hireling:
Shieldbearer, black kobold carrying a large shield
Loyalty 0
Protector 2
Cost: The Thrill of Victory

Sentry - When a protector stands between you and an attack you increase your armor against that attack by the defender's skill, then reduce their skill by 1 until they receive healing or have time to mend.

Intervene - When a protector helps you Defy Danger you may opt to take +1 from their aid. If you do you cannot get a 10+ result, a 10+ instead counts as a 7-9.

Moves:

Dragon’s Ice
When you unleash a freezing gout of ice from your mouth or hands, roll +STR.
7+: Something within Near range is temporarily frozen, along with up to 2 other things within Close range of your target
10+: They also take your damage
7-9: You also freeze something else that you did not intend to.

Exterminatus

When you speak aloud your promise to defeat an enemy, you deal +2d4 damage against that enemy and -4 damage against anyone else. This effect lasts until the enemy is defeated. If you fail to defeat the enemy or give up the fight, you can admit your failure, but the effect continues until you find a way to redeem yourself.

Form of the Dragon
You have the power of dragons coursing through your veins, and with a bit of magic, you can draw great power from that blood. When you take a moment to draw on the power of the dragon, roll + STR.
10+: Set your Ice to 3
7-9: Set your Ice to 2, but your dragon’s desire overtakes you.
6-: Set your Ice to 1 and your dragon’s desire overtakes you, but when you spend that point of Ice, the transformation has flaws – the GM will tell you what happens.
If you do not give in to your dragon’s desire before spending all of your held Ice, you take 1d6 damage, ignoring armor, as your draconic blood rebels against you.

Anyone with held Ice can spend 1 Ice to gain one of the following benefits for a few crucial moments, their body changing for that short time:
---Rending Claws: Hand, Piercing 3, Messy.
---Spiked Tail: Reach, Forceful
---Hardened Scales (Permanent per Scales of Iron move): You gain 2 Armor and +2 more vs. Cold.
------Eternal Dragon: You gain 1 armor and immunity to Cold.
---Dragon’s Wings (Permanent per To the Skies move): With a wing-boosted leap, you jump to anywhere within Near range.
------Dragon Rider: You become large enough for someone to ride you for a few minutes, and both of you can act normally during that time.

Elemental Veins
When you take damage, one enemy within Close range takes 1d4 damage, ignoring armor, as a gout of frost erupts from the wound.

Freezing Counterspell
When you blast ice at an incoming spell or ranged attack, roll +STR. On a 10+, the attack is frozen away to nothingness, destroyed, and negated entirely. On a 7-9, the attack freezes up, but breaks through, dealing -1d6 damage. On a 6-, the attack breaks through, and now anything affected by it also freezes.

Dragon’s Gift
When you grant the power of dragons to another by spilling your blood upon them, take 1 damage (ignoring armor) and roll +STR.
10+: They hold 2 Ice
7-9: They hold 1 Ice but they are overcome with your dragon’s desire. If they do not give in to this desire before spending all of their held Ice, they take 1d6 damage, ignoring armor, as the blood burns them.
6-: They hold 1 Ice anyway, but they are overcome with your Dragon’s desire and take -1 ongoing until they fulfill it. If they spend their point of Ice before fulfilling this desire, they are no longer overcome with desire, but the transformation has side effects – the GM will tell you what.

Rags to Riches
When you hold a non-magical item in your hands, you may destroy it using ancient dragon magics. It melts into a number of coins equal to the item’s full market cost.

Backstory:

Backstory:

Gorlaug's honor guard, also sometimes pejoratively referred to as the Blood guard by other members of the tribe, watched over Gorlaug's body when the lord slept. Hegh was selected as a hatchling, and grew up regularly drinking small amounts of Gorlaug's blood, as did all members of the honor guard. This changed his body and bent his mind to the will of the dragon.

On the day that Gorlaug fell, the adventurers tore through the honor guard as little more than a footnote. Most were killed. After the adventurers left, the remaining members of the honor guard named Hegh as the bortaS. As required by the tenets of the honor guard, the more senior members filled a cup with a mix of their blood and then sacrificed themselves, leaving only Hegh, the most junior member. Hegh, as bortaS, drank the cup and took to the skies, seeking vengeance. He must bear the shame of surviving.
