Merelda recognizes these cowled figures to be the same as the creature you fought when this search for the cure first began. You encountered the same thing when you emerged from the sewers into the bottom of the burned house. The creature is a skeletal champion and it is likely that these ones have the ability to cast just as the previous one.

Typical undead traits, damage reduction vs slashing/piercing, ability to cast spells

The hounds are reanimated fast zombies and she remembers that they are quick even in their decaying state.

Trip attack and quick strikes (make an additional attack if they do a full attack)

Merelda skewers the her rapier through the chest of the first undead hound and pulls her rapier free. The creature stumbles a little but remains standing. The hound lunges at Merelda biting at the elf's leg and clamps its jaw around her thigh and with a strong tug pulls her to the ground mauling her again with its teeth this time ripping at her gut. Merelda takes 10 points of damage and is prone

Meanwhile Cinder flies in front of the face of the other undead hound distracting it so that Amigail can find an opening to strike the creature.

The undead hound bites at Amigail grabbing her and throwing her to the stone floor. As she scrambles to lift her buckler the hound's teeth tear into her unprotected shoulder. Although blind the cowled skeleton closest to Amigail attacks in her direction. One claw is able rake Amigail across her neck. Amigail takes 14 points of damage and is prone

You watch as one cowled figure blue stands up and then begins to hiss out some unintelligible words in Cassandra's direction. The warrior maiden's mind is assaulted with terrifying thoughts but she stands firm and shakes off the effects.

The other creature that fell remains behind the altar and you are unsure what it is doing.

The battle quickly descends into chaos after the party's opening volley. Hearing the agonized cries of her teammates and multiple hard thuds to the ground Innis senses that things have not gone as well as the team would have liked. Innis calls for Cassandra to give her some room then calls forth the aid of Calistria's divine presence to keep her team safe.

Amigail finds herself on her back before she knows what's hit her. Still she sees Cinder annoying the heck out of the hound that dropped her and refuses to let the wasp's efforts go for naught. She lashes out with her falcata and only then tries to regain her feet.

Cassandra hears Innis call out that she is coming and to make some room. Seeing little room for her to maneuver she attacks with her glaive at the red undead hound and then steps into the empty area.

The glaive rips open the chest of the undead hound and it collapses to ground its grip now loosened from Amigail's bleeding form.

@Merelda As you look back on Merelda you see through some act of Calistra that while on the ground she rolls into a ball as and brings up her shoulder. The second bite while ferocious is fended off by her chain pauldron.

Merelda just remember you are still prone

From her prone position Merelda snaps her arm out and stabs the undead hound this time her thin blade ripping through the decayed hide of the upper left leg of the dog. The undead hound now looks like it can barely maintain its weight, but powered by the dark magic that animated it bites at Merelda. The elf quickly rolls back enough that the hound misses when it tries to snap its jaw back on Merelda.

The blinded cowled skeleton green tries to claw at Amigail again however the the effects of the spell stop any claw from hitting Amigail

The other cowled skeleton speaks something and then fires a flashing dark green ray at Boros. Kirzon make a Fortitude save for Boros please

You are still unsure what the third skeleton is doing now hidden completely by the altar.

@Kirzon Just want to add that Kirzon needs to be able to see an opponent for Boros to be directed to attack it. So you will need to move into the room to do so or switch spots with Lililinda at the doorway.

Amigail moves in and feels the blade connect with the bones under the voluminous robes. The creature hisses in frustration still blinded by Kirzon's spell.

The ray causes Boros' muscles to go a little a lax as a weakness radiates through the snake's body. -3 Str to Boros

Lililinda aims her ray too high as the white light hits into the ceiling. Boros' jaws attempt to slam down on the magic wielding skeleton but it just barely steps out of the way to avoid the ire of the snake.

Cassandra walks into the grease slicked area just in front of the altar and strikes with her glaive in hopes of destroying the undead hound before it can bite at Merelda again. Her comes down on the hound's head and the undead dies with a Thump from the impact of it hitting the stone floor.

The blinded skeleton strikes at Amigail with both of its claws. Each claw misses as Amigail raises her shield from the first one and steps back to avoid the second one.

Boros feels it's mind invaded as impending doom fills begins to assault its natural instincts. Again the same skeleton as before points a finger at Boros, but this time nothing fires from his finger. Boros please make a DC 14 will save.

Merelda you may change your action if you so choose

From Innis' hand a column of fire streaks forth barreling into one of the cowled skeletons. The creature shrieks but remains standing
its vacant eyes glaring directly at the changeling.

Watching as something spooks Boros, Kirzon begins to summon his celestial avian ally. Lililinda again attempts to hit one of the skeletons with her ray but her shot goes awry.

Amigail's falcata drops down on the flanked skeleton and she feels as the blade cleaves through a couple of rib bones underneath the heavy robe. Cassandra spying that the creature is about to drop shortens her grip on the glaive and strikes at the skeleton. The glaive crashes into the head of the skeleton dropping it immediately.

Merelda would you like to change your action now that green is down? Stepping ahead you'll need to make a acrobatics DC 10 check because of the grease.

Merelda skillfully steps over the corpse and runs across the slickened floor. She stabs with her rapier but cannot get her footing properly under her and the blade misses the chest of the skeleton.

The singed skeleton strikes at Amigail hoping to rip into the warrior's thigh. Amigail strikes down with flat end of her falcata swatting the bony claw away.

You finally watch the skeleton who had fallen at the beginning of combat rise as it casts a spell aiming its finger towards Cassandra. Cassandra having shortened her grip to destroy the other skeleton is unable to attack the skeleton as it stands. The ray fires over Cassandra's shoulder as the flashing dark green ray buries itself into the wall.

Merelda strikes the creature as it rises possibly helping to assist with its ray missing Cassandra.

Artsiv appears from the Elysium Hunting Grounds and goes right to attacking the skeleton it's claw tearing against the skeleton's head you watch as taters old cloth drop to the ground exposing the yellowing skull of the skeletal creature. The creature moves just in time to dodge the scorching ray from Innis' wand, but then makes itself for an easy target as Lililinda strikes it with her own ray.

Cassandra readjusts her grip on her glaive and attacks but misses as the glaive slides past the skeletal creature.

Amigail strikes the closest skeleton the steel sending an echo throughout the room that runs up her arm and fills her ears.

The skeleton blue rakes Amigail drawing anorther wound. Amigail takes 2 points of damage

The other skeleton yellow strikes at Merelda but misses with both claws.

Lililinda lets loose another ray but her excitement clearly gets the better of her and the ray gets shot into the ceiling as she quickly blames the skeleton for her errant shot.

Amigail continues the fortune that has all of sudden come to her. She swings the heavy blade and cleaves off the arm of the skeleton destroying whatever insidious magic kept this creature alive.

Artsiv drills it's beak into the cranium of the last remaining skeleton shattering the skull and immediately dropping the creature.

Boros slithers back in the effects of the fear spell completely faded.

Gathering yourselves you look around the room to get a better look. In front or beside you a waist-high stone altar stands near the center of this large, low-ceilinged room. The altar is carved from a single block of dark grey granite and resembles a sinister, leering skull. Two large green gemstones embedded in the skull-altar’s eye sockets glitter brightly as they reflect any ambient light. On top of the altar are a half-dozen flickering black candles and a small gold brazier of burning incense that has filled the entire room with a thin haze of pungent blue-grey smoke.

Kirzon bids a quick farewell to his celestial eagle friend, and pets Boros on the snake's return. Boros seems quite upset and eager to crush the lifeless (un-lifeless?) body of the creature that sent it running.

With help from the Great Tree Spirit, Kirzon tries to figure out the significance of the altar, skulls, etc., so he can know what to do, and what NOT to do.

Knowledge (religion), Guidance, Innis, Inspiration: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 1 + 2 + (5) = 28 +2 bonus if this somehow has to do with dwarves or their enemies.

Kirzon also tries to figure out what one of the undead might have been doing behind the altar.
