Knowing that she can't stand toe-to-toe with the beast, Amigail decides to gamble. "I might have a healing potion in my backpack!" she calls to Cassandra, just in case the worst happens. Then she tries to tumble into flanking position behind the beastie, knowing she'll need every advantage, no matter how small, if the friends are to survive this fight.

Innis sighs "Oh so much work to be done. Would that I could be everywhere."

She has minor coughing fit. "Euh, an entire city to save. Well if we are peddlers of false promises at least we'll be long dead before we can be burned at the stake eh." she laugh bitterly.

"But if we can accomplish the deed...oh the possibilities..." she trails off no doubt conspiring some plan or another.

The effects of the hound's baying begins to wear off both Cassandra and Boros but not before the hound bites at the weakest opponent, Boros, tearing a piece out of the extraordinarily large snake and tossing it aside. It's eyes turn to Amigail next. Boros takes 12 damage. Boros is bleeding out.

Cassandra finally overcame her fear and prepared to fight, just in time to see th thing take a chunk out of Boros. The valiant snake may have been in her way a number of times but he was still a loyal companion. She swore wouldn't fail him. Her precious glaive was too far away for her to reach for now so she unshipped her longspear from her back and stabbed out with it while Amigail distracted the thing.

The two warriors having now fought side by side several times since their affliction do their best to surround the flying hound in hopes of striking it down. They watch as Boros' body lies there a pool of blood now forming from the vicious wound inflicted by the hound.

They attack in a staggered cadence but the creature quickly evades both of their attacks. The creature snarls at Amigail her wound bleeding down her body and lunges. Psst don't argue with more hp. Less work for me!

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

I had you at 28 hp when you took 32 points. So you would have been at -4 when you went down. Was I wrong in this?

She should definitely still be down u did a TON of damage... you hit her with a bus, then a train respectively

I started with 44 andan effective con of 12. I took 26 on the trip, then I took another 32 from the last attack and I blead for 2 points for a total of 60. Then I was healed for 8 so I should be at 2.

Cassandra awoke as the potion was poured down her throat by Amigail. She hurt like hell and could barely move but she was alive. When she got up, slowly, she felt that her wounds were just barely manageable and nodded as she said, "Yes, one more is all though." She reached into her pack and pulled out the potion to hand to Amigail before shipping her warhammer and using the spear to help her stand up.

Cassandra hobbled to her glaive and retrieved it, stowing her spear and using the recovered weapon to stand. She began to murmer to her glaive in apologies for her treatment of the favored weapon of her goddess and then leaned back against a wall near the secret entrance in order to strike at anything else that might come through it.

One last potion of cure light.

"Ach!" Kirzon lets out a few coughs, then sits up. "What 'appened 'ere?" he says, looking around. He sees the dead flying hound, and then sees his trusty companion, Boros. "No, Boros!"

Staggering over, he checks the snake for vital signs. " 'e'll be alright. 'less 'nother damned 'ound comes af'er us." He looks around at the tattered remnants of the party. " 's what ah get fer listenin' ta some crazy Calistrians!"

Hey! I resemble that remark! =) Crazy snake dwarf!

"Let's hope their trip has been less eventful than out rest," Amigail answers Kirzon with a sigh.

Looking at the dead hound, she wonders aloud, "Do you think we could make this thing's corpse look bigger and even more deadly if we hacked off a few more parts and spread them throughout the room? Might win us some sympathy and extra healing from those crazy Calistrians you just mentioned."

"I suppose they will be all right." Lililinda sighs. "But perhaps we could pick up some potions or something, just in case."

Just as they are about to leave Lililinda speaks up, her kind heart advocating for the well-being of the other members of their group.

Innis sighs in irritation at this hold-up. Her divine mandate slowly undermining all other concerns.

She massages her temple doing little to soothe the Call at the back of her mind. "Fine" she breaths tersely.

Innis sends Lililidna out to make a deal with an alchemist. She hangs back with Merelda and Cinder attempting to find an opportune moment for distraction and larceny.

Lili to broker the deal, Merelda and Innis to run interference / distraction at a distance. Cinder to steal...something undercover of vanish (3 rounds). Merelda will stash him afterwards. Leveraging the Calistria-enamored entourage and a sudden *accidental* eruption of ~200sp.

Status
Cinder: vanish ~3 rounds, +20 stealth

Innis and Merelda give me a bluff check (DC 16) or performance check (DC 16) to cause the diversion. Lililinda give me a diplomacy check (DC 14) to keep the vendor occupied.

When all the pieces are in place Innis starts the show...

bluff: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 = 16

After their final performance Innis together with Merelda take their new flock on the move. Offering Calistria's insight and wisdom to their followers and others in need of guidance. Suddenly Innis seizes as she calls her upon her goddess' wisdom. She collapses into Merelda's waiting arms. Coins spill wild and freely from her limp body as her whispers carry to the crowd around her "..I hear..the Goddess...oh such a beautiful voice, if only you could hear it...". a trail of coins also now litter the warehouse floor as if the priestess' every step brings good fortune.

Bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Playing along, and trying not to roll her eyes at Innis's drama, Merelda catches her as best she can.

"Stay back! I've seen this before! The goddess has touched her in our moment of need! I just hope she doesn't swallow her tongue this time..."

F Changeling 3-Cleric(Eccl)/1-Sorceress /1-Bard | HP (+8)29/29(34) | Speed 30ft | AC 18, touch 12, FF 16 | Init +2 | Fort +3 : Ref +6 : Will +11 | Percep +7, stealth +8 | Active conditions: con -3, mage armor

Innis is offended by Merelda's comment suggesting such gracelessness but can't help but admit effectiveness of her words. Innis seemingly *babbles* incoherently casts vanish and touches Cinder hidden away beneath Merelda's cloak.

Lililinda approaches the nearest potion seller. "Hello there, my friends and I are working on getting to the bottom of this plague business. Do you suppose, in your surely generous heart, you could cut us a good deal on some curatives?" She puts on the full act, fluttering eyelashes and all.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

...And goes a bit over the top.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

The merchant looks a little dumbfounded when Lililinda tries to occupy him.
"What are you saying, ma'am? There will be no deals whether you are the supposed saviour or not! Gnomes and their crazy larger than life dreams. Cost is stated on the shelf under the item."

Now what is going on? Is she alright? Probably best you take her to an open area where she can get some fresher air. She might have that... sickness that is going about. Maybe you leave her alone and we call the constables."

you are able to successfully pilfer a potion.

Innis recovers after a few moments after silently confirming the plan's success with Merelda. She makes a show of gathering her strength, offers some parting words for her entourage and entourages people to find comfort in Calistria's boons where ever they find it. Heedless of coins at her feet she departs.

Lili will buy a potion of cure serious wounds and be off with us. Good job team. No need to sell you out this time Lili

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

The three of you make it back to the crypt and are alarmed when you see Amigail, Cassandra and Kirzon looking barely able to stand up. Kirzon kneels by Boros some cloths tied tightly to the side of the snake.

They barely even notice you enter their attention completely focused in the direction of the secret door...
