Hello everyone,
I do not want to be pessimistic regarding CORE but I am thinking about taking all my CORE characters to STANDARD mode because we have to stay together to let PF1 live on for pbp and I have the feeling that CORE does not help to achieve this goal.
Getting in on this late...
I play CORE on PbP cause there's no CORE in person play in my area and in person play has mostly shifted to PF2E. I've played all of the PFS 1e scenarios. Yes I'm a PFS addict. And I enjoy CORE play so I'm happy to run and play CORE here at Flaxseed.

Folks, I am in need of a replacement GM for the Scenario The Unseen Inclusion. Any takers?

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Is this an Outpost III game, or a game already in progress (and if so what's its completion %)?

![]() |

It is a game already in progress. I would have to say it is over the halfway mark from my guesstimation.

Mister Z - Or just Z. No names. |

You do not know how much I want to, but I can't make it happen time-wise.
Good hunting, and if there was such a thing as virtual beignets, I would get you some.

Dot.
Is this thing on??!!
Trying to follow posted directions to begin a PbP game.I have played a vast amount of PFS1e & 2e. Covid has me on the inter webs though, trying to figure this internet thing out.
I have PFS characters of multiple different levels. I would be willing to play SFS as well but I have not built a character for that system before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and stay healthy.
I'm replying here in Discussion, as I don't want to derail things over in Gameplay. Even if I marked everything as out-of-character...eh. I hope you still see this.
For starters, welcome to online play! Here's hoping you have a good time here.
You've already posted in Gameplay (an in-character thread), so this page will show up in the Campaigns tab in your profile. Up at the top of the page are some useful links, like Getting ready for PFS PbP. It also links to two separate lodges, one for SFS (Castamir's) and PF2 (Cottonseed). You can save those to your campaigns the same way you did here. This one is exclusively for PF1. There's also more basic stuff, like the 'How to format your text' box under where you type. That lets you bold and italicize text, the like. There are templates to copy/paste into new character profiles, so all your statistics are visible to GMs.
I assume you're wanting to play some games before GMing, which I'd recommend. To do that, you'll have to wait for someone to come recruiting. An online convention is starting, so we have less of that than usual. But the influx of new players also ups the demand.
I'm willing to run a game, if you're up for it! I've got a decent few scenarios from each type of organized play. Anything in particular you want to play? This offer extends to other new people as well.

GM Numbat |

@txscotch12 - hopefully you find these responses.
GM Crunch covered it nicely. I will say, in addition, that if you click the link in my header, Org Play PbP Intro you will find a set of slides I am using as I take a group of new players slowly through the learning process. You are welcome to use those and ask questions.
I may run another "class" in a little while but I don't want you to feel you need to wait.
Once you decide on a campaign, post in the discussion thread that you are a new-to-PbP player looking for a game. Most of the GMs and players with experience here are very happy to shepherd someone through their first one or two PbP experiences.
Happy gaming

To create your event:
Go to My Account > Organized Play > GM/Event Coordinator > (Create New Event) Create Your Event > Edit. Fill in the basic details for your event in the Description section. (You don't need to fill out anything in the other sections of the page.)
Once you've done that, you'll be able to report the session when you're finished.
The system will generate a numeric event code associated with the event you just created. You'll enter the event name and code in the bottom margin of the Chronicle sheets. Those two pieces of information will remain the same for all the sessions you organize and report.
To report a session:
Go to My Account > Organized Play > GM/Event Coordinator.
Under ‘Events I’m Organizing,’ you’ll see your event code and event name.
On the right side of the page, click on ‘Report.’
Fill in the details: Date, Pathfinder Society (first edition), check scenario missions accomplished (if applicable), your GM #, PC# (if you’re assigning the Chronicle to one of your PCs), GM Name, GM faction (if you’re assigning the Chronicle to one of your PCs), and GM prestige.
Below that you enter the information for each of the PCs.
When you’re done, click save and exit.

If you're applying the GM Chronicle to one of your PCs, you add that PC's number after the dash.
If you're not applying the Chronicle to a PC, just use your basic PFS number without the number after the dash.

On the Campaign page, select the Campaign Info tab.
Click on Edit This Campaign.
In the Short Description block, enter the formatted links to your slides, documents, etc.
To finish, click on Save Changes.

Announcement
If anyone has characters labeled incorrectly for your PFS Core Characters due to a reporting error from long ago. Please send me a PM as I am now able to get it corrected for you.

GM Hmm |

Wow, that is HUGE!

"Does this mean I finally get my cover on the Chronicle?" asks the very ink-splatted scholar.
I'd totally given up on this even happening! Hurrah!

I am so happy for Ēoswulf/caps! I think I was the one that screwed that report up, and it always makes me half afraid to submit my reports now.

Muzouka, as with any other scenario in PFS Organized Play, if the GM has only 3 players, the table selects an official pregen to establish an official table - in this case, one of the goblin pregens included with We Be Goblins.
(I think I understood your question.)

![]() |

Correct! With 3 players, one of the players would have to control and play an extra pregen goblin from the scenario.

Looking for a replacement GM for an Outpost III Game. It is Overflow Archives and they are near the beginning. Is there anyone able to help this table out and pick it up? Send me a PM please.

Locally we have had several GMs that use Discord voice chat plus Google slides to run a table. Those familiar with PbP generally find this easier than learning one of the VTT systems.
Having worked some with Roll20, it is certainly easier to do the maps in Google slides than that tool.

GM Hmm |

I am one of those GMs that use Discord for Voice and Dice Rolls, and Google Slides for Maps. It is low-tech and doable.
Hmm

It certainly is! I think roll20's biggest benefit is being all together in one spot, many of those things can be better done in other apps, such as discord for voice or slides for maps.

Will PbP be included?
There will not be any PbP during Paizocon, but you can run games in several different VTT formats including some listed above.

Hop on in Discord with us. The waters aren't deep and there are no sharks this time of year.

I am sure most of you have seen already but I wanted to put it all in one place for you all. The Paizocon Discord is up as well as GM Registration. Reminder that there are no PbP games for this Convention, it will be live games via voice on Discord and your choice of VTT / Google slides.
Please keep in mind that the monthly view of the warhorn is not showing every game as it was overloaded with 2800+ games. If you click on the individual day or Agenda view you will see all of the games.
With this form keep in mind that the form's times are set in GMT timezone while the games in warhorn are in PDT timezone (Or whichever timezone you have your settings currently on) Just make sure you google the conversions until this is fixed.
EDIT: This is not for Player Sign-ups yet, Please do not sign up as a Player for any games.

i was part of a PBP for MotFF that was just about done over 4 1/2 hours here on the boards...we finished off the last little bit over 2 days sporadically....went smooth...Doublegold was the GM....I would do it again....we would have had it done in 5 hours i think...but a valiant try nonetheless...
