"I can make fire bombs yes, but not sure about changing the colors.. Im sure given time and my lab I could concoct something to change the explosion to green yes.."
"Oh and lets try to avoid obvious evil summoning portals in the future ok? We were lucky that wasn't a Balor.."

Archaemedes Falco |

Yea I'll leave that up to you.. His targeted bomb admixture removes the splash from the bomb while active though.
"I would advise not messing with it again.."

Ravarel Leafblown |

"TRIBIM please put that twine away...for all our sakes. ..... I don't like leaving this summoning pit functional. Curtis can you smash it to prevent another demon from being summoned by it's foul magic? Or maybe one of Archies impressive bombs could damage and ruin it"
edit:
"And yes Archy it could have been anything... even a Balor. In the future let's at least take the time to magically prepare before taking on something like this OK. wow that could have been a lot worse. Curtis , you ok need any help wiping the Demon Frog slobber off of you?"
wow talk about bombs away...not just the damage, but the targeting of a large or bigger creatures worst save (reflex) or prone makes for a pretty effective attack

Ravarel Leafblown |

given Lalalis reasonable concerns about another summoning Ravarel examines it again with detect magic trying to determine whether the pit is dormant and can be easily damaged or if their is significant risk in that course of action
spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32
arcana: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
planes: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
"Lalali, that is a perfectly reasonable concern. Give me a moment to examine it."

Ravarel Leafblown |

"The pits magic is dormant now. I'm fairly certain that it can be destroyed safely. I'd do it myself but I don't think my dagger will do much damage to it and I don't want to waste one of my spells on it."

Tribim |

wow, talk about paranoid Trib rolls his eyes and tucks the ball of twine into a pocket, "Relax, it never hurts ta have a ball o' twine, yeah. Anyways I weren't worried, I's seen Archaemedes bombs work afore. So who's a gonna bash it. I's can poke it with my rapier " he then draws his rapier and flourishes it about.

Ravarel Leafblown |

"Thanks for the demolition work Curtis......Well what have we here? Rubies?"
note to self for further research:are rubies tied to the lower planes for summoning devices or would any gems of comparable worth be sufficient
"I don't know about you, but I feel better not leaving a functional summoning pit behind us.. Well where to next?"

Phillip Adey |

"Listen, I'm just a chef, but to me, yes, we're here to clear this place out, but we don't have to do so in any specific order. If we run into more shit like this, let's wait till we're properly prepared before acting on it. Just saying. On the other hand, HELLO RUBIES!"

""Very nice! Let us press forward and see what other treasures we can find.""

I don't see any doors leaving M75, other than the one we came in so back to the hallway
'rubies, not a bad exchange for a couple of bombs' Trib smiles as he returns to the hallway asking "Well blokes, shall we carry on?" He heads across the hallway to the slightly more southern door entering M73 and inspecting it for traps and locks assuming it's clear he open it up and looks inside.
he will take 20 (340 on perception for the door and take 10(24) on perception for the room

Ravarel Leafblown |

Ravarel detects for magic trying to determine if this benign scene is what it appears to be or an illusion trying to lure us in.

Ravarel takes some time to study the room while Tribim immediately steps in. As soon as he gets into the room, and adjacent to one of the figures, the holy symbol bursts into flame and rotates upside down. The figures stand up and brandish their weapons and shields. You can see past their visors, but bare skulls.
Init time.

'I believe I'll just ease on back behind this first bloke and wait for an opportune moment' Trib 5 ft. steps behind the northern most knight, studying the creature while he waits until one of the other combatants attempt to strike, being patient he times his blow to hamstring the creature when it least expects it.

I forgot the +2 for flank and my + 1 for my trait so they would be 21, 29 and 29 would those hit?

drbuzzard |

Ok, there is no way you are in a flank. I guess I didn't check when you asked, but the minute you stepped into the room combat started, and there is no way you can have gotten behind him and had a full attack.
You do land and confirm the hit though. I will disregard the sneak damage. You do less damage than expected.

Editor's Note
It appears that Paizo has updated the PRD with a slight wording change but this update does not appear in the 1st->2nd printing errata PDF available as of 1/30/2014. Here is the new wording for the sentence beginning "Any creature standing in the area..."
"Any creature standing in the area where you first conjured the pit must make a Reflex saving throw to jump to safety in the nearest open space."
DESCRIPTION
You create a 10-foot-by-10-foot extra-dimensional hole with a depth of 10 feet per two caster levels (maximum 30 feet). You must create the pit on a horizontal surface of sufficient size. Since it extends into another dimension, the pit has no weight and does not otherwise displace the original underlying material. You can create the pit in the deck of a ship as easily as in a dungeon floor or the ground of a forest. Any creature standing in the area where you first conjured the pit must make a Reflex saving throw to avoid falling into it (see Editor's Note). In addition, the edges of the pit are sloped, and any creature ending its turn on a square adjacent to the pit must make a Reflex saving throw with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into it. Creatures subjected to an effect intended to push them into the pit (such as bull rush) do not get a saving throw to avoid falling in if they are affected by the pushing effect.
Creatures who fall into the pit take falling damage as normal. The pit's coarse stone walls have a Climb DC of 25. When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round.

I believe one of these rooms I am going to fill with alchemists throwing force bombs. I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around.
reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 2 skelly go does the hole. You might want to roll damage for that.

fall damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6) = 14

Ravarel Leafblown |

Oh come-on....get in there you big baby lol.....OK being serious now. There is enough space (per the map) between the 2 skeletons that you can move next to Trib and smack the skeleton with that big sword of yours without having to worry about fallin in the pit

Ravarel Leafblown |

sure thing Lalali...
retconing a bit...... Right before sending the creature down the pit Ravarel yells out "Skeletal Champion..Spell Resistance" not sure if SR has any impact on Mesmerists
