Maria van Berchove
"Gentlemen, can you escort me down there?"
Maria touches Klor and Archamedes, casting Levitate on them too.
"If we see it's a big place, we will come back for you. Please keep guard while we check the pit."
She waits for them to go first, and she levitates after them down.
Is it a big place?
Tribim
so long as we don't do what they did to get that way
Trib, as he wipes the gore off of his bladed, answers the Sorceress
"happy to oblige mam"
I'm just glad she didn't ask me to check the pit
while Maria, Klor and Archamedes levitate down into the pit Trib, checks the bodies of the humans for anything useful and then carefully checks both doors for traps and types of locks.

Maria lands after the men, and waves at the people up to let them know they have reached the bottom.
She detects magic around the room.
Maria van Berchove
Maria gets next to the door and signals her allies to get ready. She signals with her fingers...
3... 2... 1...
She opens the door.
Maria van Berchove
"Let's continue exploring the first floor, and we will return here later."
She uses prestidigitation to clean the door (or soil it, if it is clean), marking it on the outside of it.
Then she levitates back to the others.
"Maybe we can return later, there is a passageway there. What did you found up here? Where do we go now?"
Tribim
glad someone's in charge
trib nods to Maria and answers
"Two doors, ta tha east and ta tha west, mam, no traps, didn't hear anything either."
Maria van Berchove
"Thank you Mister Tribim. Let's try the west one first. Everybody ready?"
She waits for everyone to take their position, and then she nods at them a second before opening the door.
Tribim
trib lines up behind Maria allowing Klor and Gregor to be first and second in the door for charging, trib will do better if the comes in and flanks using a sneaky flank attack
"ready as we gets mam"
Tribim
trib slips in the room and takes his time searching the room, looking for traps, hidden doors or anything interesting
"give me just a moment ta find anything unusual, Ok?"

"Nothin' in here but a wash basin and pitcher filled with dirty water."
any exits?
Tribim
Trib walks back in the room, picking up the wash basin and pitcher, then leaving the room he sets them on the floor and asks.
"nice place ta sleep, would one of you casters see if'n these are magical?"
he then walks over to the other door waiting for the rest of the crew.

Maria enters the room to look for magic items.

Klor escorted Maria on a "side quest". A dwarf gentleman.
Maria gets out of the room, and warns the others.
"I think it is a magic trap, do not enter there. Now let's try the east door."
When they all are in position she opens the door.
Tribim
don't you? what do I look like chopped liver, deep breaths, stay professional
Trib waiting at the east door, looks at 'cookie' cross-eyed but maintains his composure
"One'st you all are lined up and ready, we's'l have Miss Maria open tha door and I's'l go in and check for, what was it again, oh traps 'ats right."

The door to this room has no latch. It has a pair of indentations to use as hand holds three inches above the floor. The door is opened by sliding it up from below, into the ceiling.
There is a table in the room holding a small gold plate. There are 5 sp on the plate. When the party enters the room the plate begins making polite requests for contributions, such as, “Please give, sir!” or “A crown for the poor, please sir!”
There is a door which leads out to the north.

"Hey, man, I don't go around assuming every halfling I know is a lock picker. That's racist. You found a room, said you think it's trapped and then didn't send our trap guy in. It's like not calling on me when you find undead, seduceable bad girls, or foie gras."
Maria van Berchove
Maria gets his belt pouch out, grabs a gold coin from it, and let it fall in the plate.
"You all put a coin in. Anyone needs one?"
Klor Kragsson

Klor gives a grunt, I gots no problem callin' Pecks lock pickers, most every one I met has been one. but I got ta admit, dis Peck is definitely part dwarf. so far hes got my respect...Yer still a Peck though.
as fer undead? I usually be callin on ole tarnack ere first, and ya prayin types second. Sorry but its in me nature to chop em up first.
As they check out the room, again, I may be wantin ta chop undeads up, don't mean I want ta be agitatin more, probably some spirit thing ere...just my gusss is all.
Klor pulls out some coin and drops a gold coin on the plate.
Tribim
did the fool not see me go in the room or is he just messing with me
once Trib sees Maria and Gregor donate to the plate, he pulls out a silver and places it in. Then he quickly checks the room and the exits.

Inquistively Archy approaches the plate.. "Wonder what happens if you take a coin.." "I have an experiment.."
He pulls out a gold coin and goes to put it in the plate. At the last second he instead lifts a gold coin to see the reaction..
drbuzzard
The moment Archie takes a coin from the plate it disappears and two of the hooded figures like were encountered in the hay loft appear and attack him. (shadowy figures that wear cloaks and appear out of a dark cloud).
