Maria touches Klor and Archamedes, casting Levitate on them too.
"If we see it's a big place, we will come back for you. Please keep guard while we check the pit."
She waits for them to go first, and she levitates after them down.
Is it a big place?


As you are lowering down into a fairly large, you notice that floor is simply covered with damned big rats.

while Maria, Klor and Archamedes levitate down into the pit Trib, checks the bodies of the humans for anything useful and then carefully checks both doors for traps and types of locks.

Dam: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 splash for a 10' radius, 7 damage DC 18 halves.
Dam: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Dam: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

The hit rat burns for another 1d6 next round.. If their swarms 1.5 damage as well.


You are able to blow up the rats wholesale and the rest run away.

As the smell of scorched rat hair and cooked meat waft up from the hole. Gregor steps back and suddenly takes interest in searching the room above....

The room is 50x30 and reeks of burnt rat hair. There's a door on the south wall which has been gnawed through with a large rats sized hole in it. Other than rat corpses, you see nothing of interest in here.

Maria lands after the men, and waves at the people up to let them know they have reached the bottom.
She detects magic around the room.


Other than the flashy baubles on your allies, you see no magical auras.

Maria gets next to the door and signals her allies to get ready. She signals with her fingers...

She opens the door.


The door opens into a hallway. You are facing a wall, as the hallway goes east-west. To the west, the hallway turns to the south. To the east it does a 4 way junction.

She uses prestidigitation to clean the door (or soil it, if it is clean), marking it on the outside of it.
Then she levitates back to the others.
"Maybe we can return later, there is a passageway there. What did you found up here? Where do we go now?"

trib lines up behind Maria allowing Klor and Gregor to be first and second in the door for charging, trib will do better if the comes in and flanks using a sneaky flank attack

those who enter the room:
If you go in, make a DC 13 fortitude save. If you fail, you walk over to one of the beds and take a nap. If not, you feel rather drowsy.

The wash basin is filled with dirty water. The pitcher also appears to be filled with dirty water.

he then walks over to the other door waiting for the rest of the crew.

Maria gets out of the room, and warns the others.
"I think it is a magic trap, do not enter there. Now let's try the east door."
When they all are in position she opens the door.

She opens the east door.


The door to this room has no latch. It has a pair of indentations to use as hand holds three inches above the floor. The door is opened by sliding it up from below, into the ceiling.
There is a table in the room holding a small gold plate. There are 5 sp on the plate. When the party enters the room the plate begins making polite requests for contributions, such as, “Please give, sir!” or “A crown for the poor, please sir!”

There is a door which leads out to the north.

Klor gives a grunt, I gots no problem callin' Pecks lock pickers, most every one I met has been one. but I got ta admit, dis Peck is definitely part dwarf. so far hes got my respect...Yer still a Peck though.

As they check out the room, again, I may be wantin ta chop undeads up, don't mean I want ta be agitatin more, probably some spirit thing ere...just my gusss is all.

once Trib sees Maria and Gregor donate to the plate, he pulls out a silver and places it in. Then he quickly checks the room and the exits.

Each time someone drops a coin on it the plate will say, “Thank you very much, sir! Every little bit counts!”

He pulls out a gold coin and goes to put it in the plate. At the last second he instead lifts a gold coin to see the reaction..

The moment Archie takes a coin from the plate it disappears and two of the hooded figures like were encountered in the hay loft appear and attack him. (shadowy figures that wear cloaks and appear out of a dark cloud).
