Tribim
were there any other exits from the room?
Maria van Berchove
Maria closes her eyes and makes arcane gestures and chants, her hand glows and with her she touches Archaemedes.
"Get away from him you creatures!"
She casts Protection from Evil on him, granting him a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves against evil creatures. He is also immune to any attempts to possess or exercise mental control over him. Finally prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Summoned creatures that are not evil are immune to this effect (a Will save DC 17 negates that last part).
After that she moves away from the figures.
Klor Kragsson
going with a 5' step to get up to them, if not then just take the first attack
Klor goes up to the closest shadowy creature.
Hey, ya shaggin mental eejit, we left ya enough coin, now...BEGONE.
attack 1 - PA: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
attack 2 - PA: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
damage 1: 1d10 + 12 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 12 + (6) = 24
damage 2: 1d10 + 12 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 12 + (2) = 21
Tribim
as Trib tumbles around behind the nearest creature attacking Archaemedes he sneers at it saying
"didn't I kill yer brother in tha loft?"
tumble, power attack, sneak attack, dirty fighter
acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
+ 1 keen rapier attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29 for damage: 1d4 + 7 + 4 + 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 4 + (2, 6) + 1 = 23
confirm crit attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32 for damage: 1d4 + 7 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 4 + 1 = 16
hopefully this is not the one Klor attacked
Archaemedes Falco
Archy 5' steps away and tosses an alchy fire in the hooded figures face..
RTA: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Dam: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Plus 7 splash damage within 10' excludeing allies, DC 18 for half. He burns for 1d6 next round as well.
Gregor Sandoval
Gregor casually moves over to one the hooded figures (if any are left) and flanks with Trib.
attack 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
damage 1d8 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Are they incorporeal? If so, subtract 7 from my damage before halving it
Tribim
so I guess anything shorter than a dwarf is a peck, or are dwarves pecks too?
Trib tumbles to flank with Klor, as the does so he taunts
tumble, power attack, sneak attack, dirty fighter
"I though all you monks knew Tai-quan-gnome."
acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
+ 1 keen rapier attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 for damage: 1d4 + 7 + 4 + 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 4 + (6, 1) + 1 = 21
Maria van Berchove
Maria goes to stand next to Archaemedes.
"Mr. Falco, I hope the next time you feel the need to experiment, you refrain from it. Mr. Tribim can you help us check the next door?"
Tribim
blasted little creatures
Trib spits where the little black creature fell, turning toward the northern door He answers the sorceress
certainly miss Maria I's'l be more than happy ta check tha door, does ya want me ta put the offering plate in my pack to see what happens first?"
as the talks Trib toddles over to the door and searches it for traps and to identify the lock.
take 20 on perception for 33/34
Tribim
do you really want him to put the plate in his pack and see if they will let him carry it off?
Tribim
I still think the little cloaked guys are the monks
After carefully checking the door Trib turns and informs the team
"Tha door is clear, as best as I can tell, mam. Shall we prepare ta continue?"
being a Hobbit Halfling, Trib turns and asks Phillip
"Oy,'Cookie', what did ya say was fer second breakfast? I've worked up quite an appetite."
Archaemedes Falco
Archy looks sheepishly.. "Yea my bad.. I have a curious nature I suppose.. I'll try to keep it in check from here on.."
He heals himself with a cure light wand..
2d8 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 2 = 5 2 charges before moving on..
Maria van Berchove
Maria smiles at Archaemedes.
"Thank you Mr. Falco. I am glad we have your talents here with us."
She stands next to the door, and after everyone is ready, opens it.
Tribim
perception, aid another: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
not sure I'd want to meet her
"beautiful but deadly, yeah."
Trib goes over and examines the painting with Maria, he then checks the room very carefully, looking for traps and secret doors.
take 20 on perception for 33 for the rest of the room
Maria van Berchove
"Mr. Falco, Mr. Adey, please help me examine this painting, I register it as magical."
Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Maria van Berchove
"I wouldn't be surprised if the pictures in this monastery has eyes and ears."
She smiles at the picture.
"Mr. Tribim, please check the next door, but please be careful. We might be expected."
Tribim
if the group doesn't mind about the time, Trib doesn't have anything better to be doing ;)
Trib, nodding at Maria's suggestion, moves on the to the next door and checks it for traps and to check it for locks,
take 20 on checking the door for traps,
Tribim
Trib, after carefully inspecting the door, nods at the group
"Oy, tha door is clear as best as I can tell, shall we prepare fer entry?"
so maybe for a more realistic feel, trib will take 20 on the doors, that would be about three minutes right, and then roll for the rooms and if people want to "Aid" they can.

When a party members steps into this empty room, a scream will echo from down the corridor behind the party. A beautiful girl will run around the corner and past the party. The girl is incorporeal and will pass completely through party members as she runs. She appears to be fleeing from some menace behind her. As soon as she passes the last party member the girl will stop and fade from sight.
Maria van Berchove
Perception Roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Maria gets next to the wall, cowering, and closes her eyes.
After the girl disappears she looks around.
"Where is she? What has just happened?"
Tribim
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
what the crap? Oh my, that was cold
Started by the sound of the girl screaming, trib jumps about a foot off of the ground, turning in just enough time to see the incorporeal girl run through the door, past the group and through Trib, causing him to involuntarily shudder.
oy, bloody 'ell! did you see 'at? She looked just like the vampire in the portrait, thinking for a moment he asks "Sos if her ghost haunts 'is place does 'at mean tha vampire is undead or redead?"
ting shakes off the experience and quickly checks the room they are in for anything of interest.
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Tribim
may as well head on
If you all don't mind, I would just as soon be one tha way, yeah.
Trib toddles to the mouth of the hallway and using his sword as a torch holds it high so he can see down the hallway.
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Maria van Berchove
"The same as in the portrait? I don't know what to think of that. Let's continue. Mr. Trivium please carefully check the next door."
drbuzzard
The passage leads into another room.
A minotaur corpse lies decomposing in the northern section of this room. The corpse is in advanced stages of decay and it is riddled with rot grubs. The dead minotaur was wearing a large-sized scale mail shirt and was carrying a spiked great club.
There is a door leading to the west. You can hear chanting from the other side of the door.
