Maria closes her eyes and makes arcane gestures and chants, her hand glows and with her she touches Archaemedes.
"Get away from him you creatures!"
She casts Protection from Evil on him, granting him a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves against evil creatures. He is also immune to any attempts to possess or exercise mental control over him. Finally prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Summoned creatures that are not evil are immune to this effect (a Will save DC 17 negates that last part).
After that she moves away from the figures.

She stands next to the door, and after everyone is ready, opens it.


Opening the door you find an empty room with another door to the north. On one of the walls is a painting of a very beautiful, female vampire is attached to the wall in this room. The woman’s fangs are clearly visible.

take 20 on perception for 33 for the rest of the room


So people are clear on the 'take 20 to search' that means 2 minutes per 5x5 section of room. This is a 600 square foot room. You will burn 48 minutes if you want to take 20 on the whole thing.

The picture shows a very faint magical aura.

Trib, after carefully inspecting the door, nods at the group

"Oy, tha door is clear as best as I can tell, shall we prepare fer entry?"

so maybe for a more realistic feel, trib will take 20 on the doors, that would be about three minutes right, and then roll for the rooms and if people want to "Aid" they can.

That sounds about right Tribim.
As soon as everybody is ready Maria will cast Shield on herself and open the door.


When a party members steps into this empty room, a scream will echo from down the corridor behind the party. A beautiful girl will run around the corner and past the party. The girl is incorporeal and will pass completely through party members as she runs. She appears to be fleeing from some menace behind her. As soon as she passes the last party member the girl will stop and fade from sight.

Started by the sound of the girl screaming, trib jumps about a foot off of the ground, turning in just enough time to see the incorporeal girl run through the door, past the group and through Trib, causing him to involuntarily shudder.

oy, bloody 'ell! did you see 'at? She looked just like the vampire in the portrait, thinking for a moment he asks "Sos if her ghost haunts 'is place does 'at mean tha vampire is undead or redead?"

ting shakes off the experience and quickly checks the room they are in for anything of interest.

You find nothing of consequence in the room.

There is a passage leading out of this room to the north.

The passage leads into another room.

A minotaur corpse lies decomposing in the northern section of this room. The corpse is in advanced stages of decay and it is riddled with rot grubs. The dead minotaur was wearing a large-sized scale mail shirt and was carrying a spiked great club.

There is a door leading to the west. You can hear chanting from the other side of the door.
