Tribim is able to squeeze past the figure, and then Maria blasts it. It disappears revealing that it was just an illusion.

The room is empty, except for a 3' hole in the middle of the room.

She gets a candle and a wand out of her backpack.
Maria casts Shield using the wand, and stores back. Then she cast Levitate on herself, and then Light on the Candle.
She nears the pit, and throws the candle inside.

As Tribim moves up to the hole in the floor, three giant (well, medium, giant in terms of spiders) come rushing out of it to attack.

Archy attaches a alchy fire to his xbow and fires!

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14 but fire wide and misses.. The wall explodes in fire behind the spider..


Between all the hacking, hewing, stabbing and chopping, the last spider goes down in a pile of ichor and chunky bits.

As you clean your weapons, the dead spider bodies slowly morph back into the form of dead humans. It's really quite creepy.
