Alright thanks for the heads up!
I'll have to give the warlock class a lookthrough.
I'll check over tybalts page/posts to get a feel for him :) I do want to be my own unique snowflake ;)
I'll get a character statted up here, I just wanted to see how the general idea would be taken.
I'm ok with plenty of porters, I don't think they will be quite the same as the idea I have but we will see.

Another option is shadow dancer, or monk, or psionic uncarnate, orsome combination of all of these, but we already have Tybs...
Maybe a force (energy type) focus character, I don't think we have one yet, I could give some build help
Or some kind of bomb specialist,
We do. Can't tell you who.

Ha ya he will have a personality for sure! I've already got a chunk of his background planned up here in me head! It will be quite a lot different than tybs but he might hit it off with tybs. Reading tybs background he is easy going and friendly. (Glass is half full and ready for a refill? HA! Glass is down in one gulp and always ready for a refill :D) my guy can (should be able to) detect teleportation at will so he should meet up with tybs naturally enough.
@Lord foul ll. I figure I'll stick with my idea thanks :) I'm not all that keen on building an elementalist/keniticist.

Wish character was female. . . . Have too many male friends. . . If the detect is constant he is gonna wanna find a way to turn it off. . . . Tybs teleports more than he walks. . . .
And just the background on his page doesn't give a real accurate representation of him. He has changed and developed a lot in the last couple months. (Four days)
Nice and friendly was just a starting point.
Also another couple heads ups
1we already have like four super friendly minotaurs so that could maybe do with a change. (Still up to you. Tryin to help keep him/her original. :). )
2 if you're looking for combat this isn't your place. Its mostly role play here. ;)
Hope that helps. ^_^

We do have a minotaur who was raised on sunshine and flowers... (elves)
Only one? Dennis's mom is a dryad. Although he's technically not a student anymore. :)
Anyways, just a reminder that all new characters have to be officially approved before appearing in play. There's usually some back and forth on background first to make sure things fit into the setting.

och. 4 minotaurs already? och. Well this one was going to be a bit more sullen then friendly per se, but Ill have to think about that... I did have the idea of a troll that read his own entrails but... Ya figured that one best left alone...
I realize that this place is not combat orientated, but thats just an integral way for me to construct characters. First the idea, next the basic mechanics, then the flavour/backstory behind the mechanics and then I get down to crunch. I imagine ill skip the last part for this particular setting ;)
As for turning off the detection, it more just allows him to know the general direction of teleporting, but that wont matter much anyways, I just re-looked it up and its duration is concentration...
Edit: I mean I did figure out a way to headbutt somebody in the future... I could literally charge into the future and headbutt them at the same time :D
He could also take a dozen people half a day into the future for some surprise antics... How to actually role play that would be a chalenge...

Anthropomorph blink dog! Ha! I love it! Ill have to look it up as well XD
TECHNICALLY speaking it does not, anthropomorph animal only targets animals and the blink dog is a magical beast, but that should be easily hand waved away for this XD
Let me see what I can come up with (and I gotta figure out what the visual of that would look like... the mental image is a big part of it)
Best part, its a quickened DD!

Knew there were more teacher concepts that I had forgotten about in need of people to fill them...though we can certainly continue to gloss over them if we need to. :)
Edit: This is the list I was brainstorming elsewhere.
Need teachers for light blades, heavy blades, unarmed combat, possibly room for another music and/or dance teacher, could definitely use a divine magic teacher. Have about every other kind of magic including nature, but clerics get hosed a bit. Don't have a specific art teacher so that's open.

I'm kind of tempted to return to a rules-light scenario myself. Anyone besides Lynora here from the ancient OTD days? I see DB3, whassup bud?
You're definitely welcome here. :)
KC used to post in this game, but he's kinda wandered off now. I think it's just me and DB3 left from the old OTD days now.

Picking a field of study/teaching could certainly help me pick my character's second class. Right now I only know one side of her gestalt is Binder. There's a variety of options that could fit on the other, theoretically. Would just need to narrow them down. Full backstory might help with suggestions.

Careful with the Binder... we already have one and we don't like to step on each other's toes.

Yeah, Ly mentioned it in the other thread. We nearly had two coming it at once until Scint offered to change concepts.
Who's the other? If his/her concept is too close to Karish's I might as well scrap that idea right now and come up with something different.

Hey guys:
Since it seems like everyone is going with teachers, I just want to clear something up on this: Teachers - since they are unbound in their power level (comparitively), can trivialize many of the problems/situations the students face.
I think it's been pretty clear that, up until now, the students are the "heroes" of this story, whereas the teachers are oversight. Much like Harry Potter. The teachers only step in when s#*& gets real, as it were. Obviously teachers are still characters with their own motivations/etc, but my main point is this: teachers are not here to be the heroes. They are simply too badass for that. Most teacher interactions are social events - which is fine of course, most of the game is like that already.
I just wanted to warn the new people of the "dangers" of being a teacher.
