The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Yah it's pretty dependent on being a class from that book.

I'm sticking with godling, it fits better.

for the name i'm thinking Orion Thunorson (anglosaxon name for Thor is Thunor, still thinking on the first name, it's not set in stone)

So heres star light, shes a bit small and and bit fast,

Ooo. I love Iime Thief. Was think of a Time thief ranger (trapper) just not for this game.

time thief is interesting, and it makes you wonder what Ephebe would think of someone other than her doing that kind of stuff

What would Kronos think?

In fact Dave, Ephebe is the very reason why StarLight has been sent to the school its in her back story Dave, She's looking for a teacher/mentor. :)

cool,

if I make my druid such that he get's his sky druid powers from Thor (his dad or grand dad) can he be CG instead of neutral?

as a note CG is Thor's alignment.

Dave, your druid concept is kinda all over the place. I'm not sure where it's at. Cool name though. As first pitched it had too much in common with an existing character. And I'm not really sure what is looks like now. Lots of enthusiasm, which is good, but not always easy to follow.

hmm I'll rework it, I didn't think about the existing character, I'll get back to you on it on a rework.

is starlight Ok lynora

Yes, everything looks to be in order

Anyone happen to know if Ms. Lynora will be around today?

Awaiting feedback from her on a potential new student concept I submitted.

Thanks.

don't know, she hasn't been on since saturday around 4

Sorry, guys. It's been a busy weekend. And I'm still up way past my bedtime trying to catch up on homework. >.<

I will try to catch up tomorrow as best I can in the breaks between classes. Damiani, the latest you will hear from me is tomorrow night, and that's if everything goes wrong since you're first in line for a response. :)

Most excellent-- thanks for the update. Hopefully it's an enjoyable read.

Cheers.

Lynora,

Re-issued another PM, thinking I had sent it earlier, but perhaps didn't in the haze of it all.

Looking forward to playing some and talking game shop, as it were.

Cheers.

Lynora,

Hopefully last few PMs, to keep things clear. Thanks for the patience.

Home the homework isn't too strenuous and/or enjoyable. Who knows, right? Calculus is fun for some people... I'm sure.

Oh, I love calculus. Just not so much three assignments in two days. One down and two to go. :)

Great to hear.

First few classes of Calculus for me, were amazing-- but, without a sense of what to use 'em for, felt completely outside of any future plans I had.

Hopefully they will find great use for you.

instead of the druid I'm thinking about making a firebender/spellfire channeler would that be cool?

Hmmm.

We already have one spellfire wielder (of a sort) on campus. And given the rarity of the ability, that might break some of the very few 'believability barriers' we still have up in this campaign ;)

Besides, I would think that firebender would be plenty juiced-up on its own (assuming all of the elements have been statted out)....

...though it could blend rather nicely with a fire-themed psionic class.

Hmmm.....

Shoot me a PM about this. I've got multiple requests for the firebending thing and I need to make sure people's backstories match up.

Whoops, Yeah, forgot about that. I was just thinking about the firebender angle cause I'm trying to keep things straight there.

I am your humble lexicon of dated trivia.

;P

PM *bump* to Lynora for great justice, or something!

one of the listed powers is (and this is a direct quote from volo's guide to all things magical)
A spellfire wielder can feel the direction and approximate distance of
any spellfire use within 100 miles instantaneously and for as long as
such use occurs. She or he can also know by touch if spellfire has
ever affected an item or been active in a locale; however, the spellfire
wielder must be in the locale and move about in it, not merely view-
ing it from afar or scrying it magically

so there are more than one of them, there's not likely to be much more than about 5 per planet at one time however

Hola Lynora just checking in to tell you that Would like to play a character in this rp I'll send you the details in a PM. :)

Okay. I'm running a bit behind on my PMs, so if you don't hear from me until Monday evening, don't worry. I'm not ignoring you. I just have homework and classes that suck up my time. :)

Math. Speaking of which I have a calculus test in the morning, so I should get some sleep. :)

Good night and good luck

hay, i found a feat Adon could really use,web of steel, and I'm replacing improved grapple with it, if that's OK.

Johnny is like, man can I play or like ya like.

Hey all! I'm new here to the Avalon Chronicles but it looks intresting ^-^
It looks like Lyn is the person to talk to, I was hoping to build a teleporter, kinda like nightcrawler from X-Men. Of the ways I can think to do it, there is the wizard (conjuration) and horizon walker, but they are limited to only a few times a day. The other 2 options are the old horizon walker and the psion (nomad). The HW can travel further (700ish feet) every 1d4 rounds but has high level requirements. The nomad has a whole slew of other psionic tricks like time traveling and move action teleporting. I would like to go the nomad route if possible.
The other thing I would like him to be able to do is bullrushing/repositioning ect. Make him the master of movement :)
So nomad/barbarian maybe?

The last thing, is non-humanoid allowed? I got this image of a teleporting minotaur headbutting someone from across the room :D plus just general porting shinagins ;)
This guy ^-^

I know a type of warlock that can get teleportation at will at 8th level.

I hate to burst your bubble and I'm not saying you can't but I'm kinda the resident tele-spazzer. . . . . And yes non human is allowed. I'm a catfolk. ;)
Hope to see you here soon. ^_^

Here it is!

We have a ton of teleporters in this setting.... Just warning you

Check out the character creation primer I wrote up awhile back, found in the Campaign Info tab. It contains pretty much everything you need to create a PC for this game.

So you're suggesting he use a class and options identical to mine. . . . I like the psionic one so it is different.
I'm not saying (s)he can't or shouldn't use it but just want to make sure (s)he knows that we already have a PC that does this so no one ends up the same. We thrive on individuality. ^_^
