The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Perhaps if you wanted to share what possible issues we need to be prepared for, we can provide you with a proper outline of our intents, regarding your children as required. Just a reminder, our administration is handled by another department."

She quite professional without being too casual or uptight, and it would be obvious that her fatigue is gone.

"Nothing too extreme, I assure you. It's just that my children are rather rough when it comes to interacting with others, and rougher amongst themselves. Injuries are going to be common, unfortunately."

"Well, with as much information as provided, if provided, we can be prepared. Magic and science, after all, working in unison. Our school does attempt to maintain as little violence between students as possible. Occasional injuries occur, however, we have adapted well. When do you think you might bring them to enroll?"

Anna clears the faux display and such, cleaning up, as it were, while glancing briefly about the room to see if more patients had snuck in while she was distracted.

"Ya. That."
He nods to what Ryo says.
He has been purposefully looking away from Alreeneesha's direction, while not being overt about it. It's late, and while bright lights were cool most if the time, the constant blinking and changing was starting to give him a headache.
"We were wondering if it was possible to leave Pyry's second to last block open for magic practice. Our abilities are somewhat similar and we were hoping to practice together."

Headmaster Ryo wrote:
"The skills you use everyday, Pyry, to communicate with other people."

"Those are hard," she said, making a face. "Is there a class for that?"

"Only every day life, Asha. Taking classes will help, surely."

"I'm sure we can arrange Pyry's classes to give him time with you to practice your magics, Tybalt. I'm sure you'll be able to help him catch up with his age group in that regard."

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

"I think that could also be people interaction class too. Ya got lots to learn, kiddo. Heh."
He takes a short slip from the rigid formalness mode being around the headmaster kicks him into to take a short poke at Pyry as he does when he speaks to him in the older brother way he's adopted.
A moment later he's back into formal mode, straightening his hoodie and pants out and sitting up tall and straight.
Let it go came on on my phone when I read that post, BTW...

Dom of course accepted the offer of a ride. The whole ride he was abnormally silent. Even the thrill ride they currently were on didn't seem to phase his state.

Almost done with my school work and finals so I should get back to posting more often, during this week.

Focusing his thoughts into a loose net, Phaezeriel reaches out for Zilla's mind with his own. After a few moments Zilla can feel his presence with her in her own mind, and his calm mental voice is clear, ::Just relax, Zilla, I will only look around at those memories which pertain to this unfortunate occurrence.::

Before he begins looking for the memories he seeks, Phaezeriel evaluates the uniqueness of the mental bond between Hew and Zilla.

The skimmer pulled up in front of the school and Jiminy waited until everyone else got out before getting out and leaning against the skimmer nonchalantly.

The effect of which was somewhat spoiled when Fieri rushed out of the school, ignoring all the others and hugged Jiminy. He held on tightly, his complexion a little grey as the exhaustion of the day finally caught up to him. He sagged, barely staying upright.

"Getting them to unite is easy. Getting them to unite for reasons other than being the best and strongest? Not so easy. There's been a lot of progress though. They've been learning how to get along with other people more. Besides, it's not that we need another reason to get them to unite...we just need to get them to redefine what strongest and best means. Help them find other ways to prove themselves. I have a few ideas for that."

Tyrrin had just gotten out of the speeder herself when Fieri had come running up, and she smiled to herself at Fieri's lack of decorum. It was just a little touching, even if she couldn't imagine herself doing the same. Still... this is what they had spent the day working to save - a whole planet of people like this. It made it worth it. She tried to focus on the positive for a moment, not wishing for the cold fury over the lives that had been ended to return.

Her mind briefly plays over the political implications of Tamina and Dom's relationship, unable to turn off that portion of her mind - the analytic portion, ever thinking. The Speaker would not approve, she could figure that much. There would be heartbreak there, and for a moment she feels a pang of pity for Dom.

Not wishing to interrupt the happy reunion of lovers, Tyrrin glances at Dave before moving to go into the school itself. There were people she needed to see. Ghalen first among them...

With the reassurances from Tryko'Sam, Vai does indeed calm down a bit, a nervous smile appearing once again... though it seems to falter slightly at his assertion that anything 'steady' was 'kinda pointless'. "Sorry." she says, shaking her head slightly as if shaking away the last of her nervousness. "I am getting a bit better though. A month or two ago, if someone had said something like that to me I probably would've just panicked and teleported away. At least there's progress, right?"

She smiles again a bit nervously. "Do you... I dunno... do you ever get lonely? It seems like... I dunno... losing your memories all the time. That seems really.... terrifying to me. Doesn't it scare you?" she seems still nervous, but she doesn't look like she's about to run away anymore. Midori returns with Lang and Grim, seemingly in a pretty good mood. She finds her pouches and re-fastens them to her leg before sitting around the fire, next to Sara. The fire dances orange across her golden skin, occasionally giving the effect that she was made of molten gold - if only mometarily. She's pretty quiet, smiling as the Gardener takes her daughter home.

I think we're pretty much wrapped up on this scene, unless I'm missing something?

Having listened to everything Vai said before replying, Tryko'Sam's features shift through various emotional states; bemusement, quick anger, then a calming of sorts. When he does talk, he's has that nonchalant manner about him.

"Well, give my thanks to yourself and whomever's helped ya resist fleeing. Progress good-- change good. As for your questions ..."

He shrugs, folding his arms and continuing, "I suppose-- but, how can I really answer that, unless I accept who I am, with or without my memories, as me? Sure. Yeah, I get lonely. I get angry. I laugh a bit, then I realize, it's just me and the universe-- and even that, probably won't stay together forever the same way. Cynical? Maybe. Jaded? Maybe. Lots o' maybes, not a lot of definite yes's, 'cept for the instant I say yes and believe it. I bet I just forgot how to be scared. I still have feelings, usually, so I go with those and trust I'm doing what I want versus simply being programmed by fate, or ..." his tone gets nastier, "some mind mucking that stuck. I mean, hell, right now? How much of who I am is Maya's influence, versus me? Good thing I don't sleep, or I'd probably go insane. I'm comforted in knowing, I have the illusion of choice. That's my strength."

The latter is said with a sneer of sorts, clearly intending it to be funny due to the opposite facts involved.

"I really don't dwell on those things, just peeking into it, like here and now-- no good. I'm a bit born again, far too often... I think."

Then he shrugs and sips the nearby drink brought to his lips, looking back at Vai.

He looks it over for a moment before seeing that Dave wasn't there yet. He let's out the breath he was holding in a sigh of mixed, confused, and intense emotions.
He stands with his back to the door for a moment and then slowly pads into the room.
Being tired was partly true, but another part was wanting to be alone for a moment. An hour more of thought made him realize he wanted to do one more thing before he slept.
He summons an upright piano on the wall across from the door and sits down at it.
Producing the crystalline egg from his pocket, he looks it over.
"Uh. Record. Record sound?"
The second command prompts a mushroom shape to pop out of the top and a green light begins to blink.
He quickly sets it up on the top of the piano and plays a song with no lyrics. simply feeling.
