First question: "What exactly did the being who employed you before your death order you to do?"

Second question: "When did you receive these orders?"

Third question: "How did the being who employed you contact you to give you orders?"

Fourth question: "What is the name of the being who employed you?"

"You may call me Faust, and any medical staff can answer my simple questions. My apologies for thinking you were the person asked for by the young Mr. Casil here, but you did come over in response."

"I have only two questions. First, how thorough are you and your fellow staff when it comes to checking over a patient and, two, may I see an example of the medical records so I know how to read them? I travel a lot you see, and having my children's information available and easily understood is important to me."

Initially she smiles lightly at the apology, clearly it wasn't a big deal to her.

Anna further listens to the man speak and then furrows her brow at a thought, saying, "We are extensively thorough in our examinations, for the well being of the sentient tended too. As for giving you an example-- I'm afraid, unless you merely wish to see a displayed form, or blank record, I am not at liberty to present pertinent information to anyone without proper authorization. Are your children students here? Have you submitted them as their parent? A person's privacy is as much our concern as their whole being and development. Perhaps you might be better off speaking to the Headmaster, I believe administration of this sort is more his department. We are a function of the school, after all."

Putting an arm on her upper other arm, a slightly guarded stance, she adds, "Considering the current state of affairs here, I respectfully apologize for my wanting to be sure of security breeches-- it's been a rough past few days."

I'm kind of thinking along the lines of any 'normal' medical facility in the Western United States, and school-- so, if the above is off, then it's me not knowing better. :)

"No, it's nothing you did. This is just a touchy area for me right at the moment. I can do this, when I'm ready, but I've got some stuff I need to work through and figure out first."
It doesn't take long before they arrive at the headmaster's office.
Tybalt knocks on the door, leaving a light frosting on it where his fingers touched.

They're the closest thing Agartha, umm...that's the name of the planet you're on, anyways, they're the closest thing Agartha has to a ruling authority. Which is to say, we're a pretty divided world. Even the council of High Seers can only really give suggestions at most. But a lot of people are willing to listen to their suggestions, so that's something."

Nodding at that information, Maya says, "Well, I've been to lands where there were no civilized societies, I doubt what you've described could be worse than that."

She did smile fondly at the mention of 'little brother'.

"I don't believe I have any more questions, I've always enjoyed learning as I go along, being quite adaptive. What about yourself, did you have anything you wanted to ask me?"

Again, she does glance over to the thinking, or appearing to think, Vare, seeking to not exclude him too much from the conversation.

When they get to the door she waits getting close to Tybalt she says in a low voice.

"Tybalt do you know you have a mechanical device in your head, its bionics resonance has all the hall marks of a Culture artefact. May I give you some advice, I would be very careful of any "Gift" originating from that hegemony. They are known throughout this galaxy for being duplicitous, devious and manipulative in the extreme. The Culture they say always has their own complex agenda and all their gifts come with strings attached. If it was me I would have that artefact removes as soon as I possible could."

Jiminy sighed. "Yeah, it's time to try something else. This investigation is going to take a little longer. Put this guy on ice in case."

He turned to the townspeople. "I apologize for not being able to resolve this quickly. "I'm repurposing some of the factory equipment to make some needed supplies to deal with this disaster, so it should be ready for you by morning. In the meantime, just keep on like you have been."

He turned back to the group from Avalon.

Maybe it's a good thing I can't remember everything that's happened, but, I /know/ that there's something in my past that explains why I'm how I am. Just can't remember it now. I'm definitely a horrible example of cleaning out my karma, or proof positive of that process." He grins though, clearly it's not that 'serious' given the level of his manner right now.

Considering her question about mountains or favorite setting, he seems to skip the prior topic per her request, replying, "Uh... I ain't made the pine and snow top retreat yet, but, that's for skiing and snow boarding mostly. I suppose I could-- but, I dunno, mountains are nice, yet a part of me figures it's mostly for looking to the stars, or better view of the area, you know? I know I like seeing as much as I can when able. Open space is good. Enclosed, not so good. Deep ocean, not good /at/ all. I'll add that to the list of things to make. I gotta be sure I'm not just making what /I/ like, you know, versus what's useful for the school's population and what not."

He glances off for a moment to think on something, or collect his thoughts mostly, then looking back asks, "How long have you been on this planet? If that other place was home, how'd you end up here? I figure we're talking vast distances away, right? You get rescued or something? What's the rest of the universe like, if you've been around? I suppose I should dive into that infinite library of ours, put it to the test one day too, huh?"

She can tell he's already thinking about that, given the glint in his eyes. It definitely seems appealing.

"Well, what about that portal thing you do? Couldn't you just, like, woosh yourself out of any close in situation? I know it helps me alot with my fears sometimes, knowing that I can teleport away just by thinking about it." she says, just a touch of somberness playing around the edge of her expression at the end, but she shakes her head, reclining more in the desert sun.

"Well, you should make what you like, that way you can throw yourself into it. It's like music - if your heart's not in it, it's not gonna be good either way." she says with a shrug.

"Erm... I've only been on Agartha about six months now. You guessed right though; I was rescued... um... by Resistance operatives, and they brought me here to Avalon." she says, obviously skimming over what was perhaps a darker tale than the mood warranted. "But... I've seen a few things here and there. There's good and bad. Places of inexplicable primal beauty, and places where the desolation seems to go on forever." there's just a touch of wonder in her voice, even apparently for the desolation she mentioned. "The universe is full of wonders, even for all it's horrors." she says quietly, basking in the sun.

I kinda imagine that Midori's own temples are probably influenced somewhat by the Amateru's bloodlines - their guardian statues are probably based of a more 'western' Celestial-type design. Plus... those statues you linked really do look like some of the oni from the Bestiaries. ;)

He had taken samples of blood, foot print casts and looked for fibres on the plants. Also images of the site from a number of hights so as to be able to construct the location in the sim rooms. He had a number of samples all bagged up ready for testing. he would take them back to the school and see if he could find a student with the skills and time to work this whole thing out in a more logical way. "That's a high price Mr Visions the highest."

"Well if you want me to find what you want your going to have to give me what I want, qiut pro quo"

more waiting then

"All right, its a deal but only on delivery you understand, you get me what I want and ill give you what I have names and locations. Don't contact me again until you have something you understood o... And good luck your going to need it"

then line went dead.

"Well, there's two ways to describe this-- the technical terms and what our culture whipped up to explain it, which might seem silly, but that is how things were with the fairly new science and what not."

She considers Vare for a few moments, then says, "In short, I created simulations, or duplications of reality; energy, force, light and a few other fundamental bits of creation as we know it. Now, they existed for a duration, my concentration was required often, initially-- the key though, was once someone actually realized their existence, they tended to fade for the individual. So, they were hallucinations, yet, recordable, intractable, real-- as much as that dead cat was, when observed in one manner. State of mind, we deduced, that field of science was so young and unproven in many ways, it was akin to just going with your best guess, or opening a comic book up and saying, 'It's like this.'. In our casual terms, I basically created simulacrums, quite vivid and realistic, that were often impossible to dismiss as fake without being abnormal. I did great with birthday parties, and such-- but, again, other stories. These abilities, apparently, were passed down from my father, my birth father. Coupled with this, was an untrained, initially, form of mentalism-- a telepathy, of sorts? Or quasi-mind control, that was more of a sympathetic connectivity, or ties, with any other living mind nearby. Being a second generation super powered being, born of two first wave super powered beings, it appeared the capacity was carried and enhanced from the parents. When I actually fought and helped capture my Father a few times, he was clearly not as powerful, but definitely more experienced and skilled. I'd argue that towards the end of my efforts, I did reach a state of very potent and experienced, but we all speculated there were vast potentials none of us were tapping into. Basically-- I was a veteran and often times people would not want to fight simply due my reputation." She beams with a bit of pride at that. "Plus our ... odd code of conduct, between members of our super community."

With a brief smile, she then says, "I rather did enjoy the superhero scene-- we were the rock stars, a type of musicians of a genre type, of our time. Fan clubs, and adored by the public when we weren't terrifying them with the occasionally new eruption or psychological break down by one of our fellow abnormal. Highs and lows."

Then looking back to Vare, she too seems concerned. "Is it a fragment, Wizard Vare, or something else?"

"I understand. The displayed form or a blank will be just fine. Trust me, I am not looking for any specific student by asking for medical records!" His laugh is a soft, light sound, almost like music.

Didn't catch this initially-- buried, as it were, beneath the OOC gobbly g+&*!

Smiling at that, she rises up and nods, "If you would follow me then, sir, I can give you an example of our charts and such. You'll please forgive our current state of affairs, we're rebuilding the facilities here, due to some earlier altercation."

With that, Anna walks over to a portable terminal, keys in a few quick entries and summons up a hologram display of a blank medical chart-- complete with diagrams of a typical 'humanoid' and such for Faust's review.

"If you'd like, I could populate this with some fake issues, so you'd be able to see the results as we submit them."

Effectively a floating hologram with live chart updates and pop out indicators using either touch or other interface, tied into the repository of submitted data on a patient. It's quite high tech and sexy!

"In addition to this format, we can always generate paper reports, as requested. Sometimes the students enjoy keeping their own records, for historical reasons." She raises a hand to cover her light yawn after speaking.

While she does look tired and drained, she does her best to pretend it isn't affecting her greatly.

Anyone with a hint of Sense Motive would realize she's tired and drained, or perpetually this way, but she's pressing on. Clearly she doesn't feel it interferes with her professional work-- yet.

After a few moments Jessa seems to drag herself together and raises her eyes to Nala's. Her eyes are a violent purple color, nearly glowing. She tugs on the trapped arm and the stone releases her arm almost hesitantly as she stands. She raises one hand and looks at it as the fingers slowly extend into the wicked slashing blades and then retract into fingers once more. Her gaze meets Nala's once more and her voice is calm, "You have killed the only beings that have ever been my friends, your reasons mean nothing to me. You will ever be my enemy. While I am in this place which protects you, I will refrain from attacking you."

She holds Nala's gaze for a moment, then retreats to the examination table and sits on the edge of it.

"Yeah, typically I can get out-- but, sometimes, there isn't enough time in between to even think. It's all situational, not sure what you're imagining there, babe, wooshing out." He chuckles, still relaxed and reclined on his chair.

"You know the best way to get rid of fears is to confront 'em, right? At least, that's one way to approach it-- that which doesn't kill you, etc. Well, applicable to some, I suppose." A wry grin.

Considering what she said about music, he asks, "What kinda tunes they got rocking this place? We talking wind instruments and god forbid, brass crap, or you guys got some of the synthesized, electronic glory going on? If it doesn't have a certain number of beats-- forget it."

Now looking back towards Vai he asks, "Resistance? So there's some kinda war going on, huh? Secrets within secrets-- wheels turning wheels, cloak and dagger. Who's the enemy? This related to that situation on planet X where we were? Or no? Are you now a card carrying member of said Resistance? Is that what this school's about, recruitment?"

Vai would note that he seems a bit glib in his conversation, shotgunning his questions out casually, with a wry smile while looking relaxed. It might dawn on her that he /is/ asking her pertinent questions, while keeping up the relaxed social chat. His natural charisma makes him difficult to 'read' for intent-- perhaps he is simply just a walking pool of impulses.

"Yeah, actually. You mentioned that you had powers, but you never mentioned what your powers actually were. So what was it you could do? And can you still do it?"

Aananda looked confused for a moment and then she caught on. "Oh, you're an illusionist! With some telpathic skills...okay. Well, I think we've got a spot for you then. We always gets a few resignations after a major crisis and the illusion teacher was among this round."

"Yes, I'm familiar with the concept of rock music. My daughter-in-law has a fairly successful band. Sounds like something our worlds have in common."

Nala sighed. "Okay, I can live with that. Of course, you'd have better luck if you tried making friends with beings that weren't out to kill every other living being in the universe. Just a thought for the future."

"I have some questions for you, Miss Mar'Niell. What are the odds you're going to answer them willingly?"

Maya smiles and shrugs, "If such is the proper term, here and now-- perhaps? But, they... well, I guess they were illusions in some cases, but reality in another. We never quite understood, fully."

Reacting to the vacant spot, Maya says, "Splendid-- I'd be happy to try fill that role. And you actually have 'rock' music, how ... fascinating. Is this even English, or are we translating on some fundamental universal language?"

She merely grins at that part. "I suppose a visit to this Headmaster to eventually finalize things, is the proper step? If it were to be of any help- I do know some basic first aid and other assortment of skills, in addition to some tricks I've pulled off in the past. Versatility, that's what I was always bringing to the table."

"Yes, the advanced students are working on making partially real illusions I believe."

"English? What's that? A language? As far as I know we're speaking common at the moment."

"So...you have healing magic? Or do you mean you're trained in non-magical healing techniques? I don't suppose you're familiar with nanite medical applications? We do keep emergency kits in the classroom just in case. Though really they don't get used much outside of martial arts and alchemy classes."

Ryuzo's face becomes devoid of any pleasantness, realizing the seriousness of the threat the diseased girl just gave Nala.

"Yes, English was the name of one of our predominate languages. Common-- I see. Common it is. For all I know, and remember, this is English. I wouldn't call what I might be able to bring to the table, healing, or magic-- though, this is all quite a new experience. Perhaps? I could stabilize someone, and provide basic medical emergency assistance, with my abilities and non-magical emergency techniques. Restarting someone's stopped heart, or maintaining breathing, for human beings without altered biological functions. As for nanite... er... yes, certainly. Did I mention our world, and solar system was threatened by a species of creatures that were robotic, most likely non-sentient, creatures that resembled nanites, only bigger? Spider shaped, somewhat, capable of incredible replication abilities by consuming any metal or technology faster than our ability to prevent it? We pulled a black hole to our location as a last ditch effort to stop their spread. I shudder to think if something of them survived and they continued."

It'd be obvious that the nanite part doesn't throw her, as much as the recollection of this species that does.

"If any hint of those things exist, and they aren't dealt with post haste, there's very little we knew of that would stop them-- though, they did build themselves with a metal of our creation, making them rather impervious. I digress again, another topic, another time-- perhaps at the faculty meeting, if I understand correctly and happily present myself for the post, M-- Ma'am."

With a grin, she claps once, looking at Vare, then back.

"Nearly said Mum again."
