Except it's slow, dull, poorly made, can't move on worth crap, i can t change the campain to suit the players, and worst of all, I'm not enjoying it. It's a chore.

It's a trait Kryzbyn - allows you to use Atonement on self one time in the player's history or something similar.

Confused kitty is confused.

There's a difference in her mind between a sex fling versus a 'mate', i.e. partner for life/children.

Plus, it was lust more than adoration and all that. I'd use other words, but they'd be censored, for sure. Hope that helps explain.

Hey, guys. Sorry about not being on earlier. I am having the day from hell. I kind of wish it was from a lot of things, but in truth it's all from a really bad menniere's flareup. Walking makes me so motion sick it's hard to keep food down. Sitting can be hard. Although I'm currently doing semi-okay in a pillow coccoon on the couch so I can stay perfectly still while I type this. And I had to do homework, go to classes, pick up kidlet from school, go to the grocery store, cook dinner, and put the kidlet to bed all while feeling like this. >.<

Needless to say I've been in better moods.....

Some outstanding stuff from the last few pages of discussion.....

I forget who did it cause I've been reading pages of discussion, but let's not refer to someone who's in a bad mood as being on their period, thanks. Try to remember the GM is female and not all that amused at this little piece of sexism.

Also, I would dearly love it if folks would dial down the hostility a whole freaking lot. This has historically been a very warm supportive little community here, and while we often develop chronological issues when I am AFK for an extended period of time, I shouldn't be consistently coming back to people sniping at each other. That is not a welcome change, and I remind you all again to assume the best of your fellow players.

Capt, thanks for fixing the thing with Amber and Opal. I would have asked, but the little time I had over the weekend was spent on drama, so to come back to find that a little piece of drama was taken care of peacably without me was a welcome change. Also, thanks for being open to working with the timeline with Carl. FYI, to the best of my knowledge it is the very very beginning of lunchtime (around 11 am) in game time for some and others are still back at around 10 am so I would really really really appreciate if everyone could slow it down a tad so that some scenes can catch up. In general you have a real tendency to skip ahead, Capt, which can actually make it hard for other characters to interact with yours. Patience and all that. Also, I did give the unarmed combat teacher slot to Ryuzo, but Royston would make a great firearms instructor in my opinion. So we can work on how he gets there and fitting in his backstory.
Lang, I think the birds arrival is a bit ahead in time of where several other scenes are? What time did they arrive? And of course you're not responsible for things slowing down. That would be all me. :)

In general folks, I would like extended rules discussions of this type to be moved somewhere else. I don't expect rules discussions to never happen here. But I really prefer that the only ones that do happen here are directly related to something in the game and if it is more general and/or goes on for more than a page that it moves to somewhere else. Too many rules discussions here makes it a bit hard to wade through and I find is contributing to a more combative environment. And I would definitely prefer to shift the focus back to a more cooperative and supportive environment, please and thank you.

Now to wade through all the PMs and the game thread.....

Also, Carl, has any of this let's bring people up to the sun thing been communicated over the radio? Jiminy would nix this so fast if he knew. It's crazy disrespectful to the people who are losing their home and would cause some pretty big repurcussions IC. So I definitely want to know who knows.

It's a group thing, icehawk. Yes, you've contributed and I would really appreciate for you to do what I'm asking from everyone which is to just take a breath and try to assume the best of others rather than assuming they are being critical or attacking.

Also, and this goes for everyone - be prepared to make some compromises. That's how friendships work. Carl did a great job stepping up to that particular thing today: not everything can always be perfect - that's the nature of playing with other people... and in fact, one of the great joys in playing with others - the unexpected. Seriously.

One of my favourite sections of the backlogs is when Sadie is first introduced as a romantic interest for Vai - mainly because it came completely out of left field for me. It has really helped to shape Vai's development. It's times like that - the unplanned or the unexpected - that really make this game for me. Silinrul's appearance, another example, was a complete blindside for me, and I got very excited about it.

Also, and this goes for everyone - be prepared to make some compromises. That's how friendships work. I have a hard time dealing with being blindsided, and have been on edge about everything since dark vai.
I always have the feeling now that if it can kill my charecter, it will.
So I'm really getting paranoid, hence my obsession with character power- paranoia.

I can understand where you're coming from there. The kidlet has the same trouble. Surprises are really hard on him. Unfortunately there really isn't any way to avoid surprises in a group storytelling exercise like this. All I can do is ask that you trust us that we're not out to get you, and more often than not are more likely to do evil things to our own characters.

Social norms i have to learn much more actively then a normal person- it isn't a gradual passive thing.
So, i try my best to watch and learn.
There is a lot to learn, but still, I'm hopeful I'll get better,

I'm not actually sure... What information are we taking about?

I'm trying to figure out if Jiminy knows about Carl's plan to take people up for a tour of the firebird sun....if he knows he would try to head this off at the pass, but if he doesn't know...well, there will be quite a scene. It's all IC, actions have consequences, that sort of thing. I just want to be sure I'm clear on who knows what before I start having my characters react.

I'm doing the following, in case anyone's dwelling on 'where is Tryko?'.

a) Giving some time to pass with the Asha, Bradley and Rena scene. It's cruel, I know ... but, Tryko had to walk off for a few. Kuros!

b) Roaming the markets of Kuros at lunch, which I suspect no other PC is doing, right?
