Hey Lym, just curious, what's up right now with Sadie, Morrivan, and Kitty?
Icehawk,
I know I've said this before, but during my continuous read of the backlogs, I've rather enjoyed Igni, for the most part.
Sure, there's been some rough patches with him, where his 'aloofness' and seeming to not care attitude is a little too much, but overall, he's been a solid character. Just re-reading his interaction with Sadie about making her the scimitar. Good stuff that :)
Thanks for reminding me igni had a soul to burn.

Oh gee...Lol. Actually she's probably a good person for that. Very sex positive, culturally speaking, and willing to force others to be tolerant if necessary. :P
But she's also one of the youngest teachers and fairly pretty as well, not to mention naturally flirtatious. Which makes her a terrible choice to teach sex ed.Nah. I think we'll stick with very, very good choice.
Magic struck gold with that thought. It's almost a shame I'll never have cause to cross paths with her ;D
The need for the class yes. The suggestion for who should teach it, no. :)

I've been lookign at the new drake companion archtypes, and I adore them.
Would they be allowed here?
Thy're kinda sub par, so I've been hard at work, uh, making them work.
Umm....probably? I really don't know anything about them at all. But you know I try to work these things in when possible.

Repost from Fawtl since some of you don't read that thread
Took the kidlet to a Halloween event last night. He finally got to wear his costume. :)
Bow ties are cool!
And then this afternoon we carved pumpkins. Badly, and over a very long period of time. Pumpkin carving is not our talent. Heck, half the time was spent getting the kidlet to stop complaining about how slimy the pumpkin guts were. :P

icehawk333 |

The drake companion archtypes give up class features to take one of these as a companion.
There's one for paladin, cavalier, Druid, ranger, and shaman.

The drake companion is definitely cool. I was thinking of makin a character with one as well, but not any time soon. I don't even have anything other than a cool, vague desire to do so, lol.
In other words, Ice, don't worry about my stealin your thunder or anything. Even if I do decide to make a character with one, it won't be for a long, long time.

I actually started a guide to making drakes function, considrign they're honestly rather sub-par.

I... made a costume exactly like that last year for Halloween. And yes, 11th is best :P
It was the most frantic four hours of my life, getting the costume together.
We hit the thrift stores in early September to get most of the pieces, and ordered the fez, bow tie, and sonic screwdriver from amazon. Probably same amount of time spent, but without the panic of procrastination. :)
Kidlet relates most to eleven because he is also clumsy and awkward. :)

11 was my first cosplay for a convention. I did him for Halloween once, but I was out of my inhaler and I got winded chasing the girl who I was going with's dog and I didn't really get to go with them cause I couldn't do anything after that and I had to just sit alone in her house. Asthma sucks. And come to think of it, that's when I should've realized the "friends" I had then kinda sucked too...

I forget if I've brought this up before, but the things Tybs just said reminded me:
Is it ok if all of Tyb's champion abilities are counted as healing despite whatever energy affinity the target has? Ergo they can't be used to harm, but can heal anything?
And if possible, could they be counted as restoration for golems etc?

You might mean constructs, not golems-
Golems are magic immune entirely, having an effective SR of infinate.

Yeah, this seems perfectly reasonable to me.

There's a CR 12 ooze that can for some reason cast wish once a month as a spell like ability, so technically (and I know I can't actually do this) I can manufacture Wishes...

Hmmm.
I think understanding right and wrong such that you thus have an alignment would be Wisdom based, not Int.
As Wis modifies Sense Motive, as well as being the primary stat for Clerics/Inquisitors/etc who are not only super alignment focused, but also generally tend to be in tune with others emotions, thoughts, etc, I would definitely say if you had a zero Wis you wouldn't understand right and wrong.
Imo, having zero Int would mean you know what right and wrong is, logically. You can still 'feel' them, and emote them, but you wouldn't know what they were.
Also:
Intelligence (Int)
Intelligence determines how well your character learns and reasons. This ability is important for wizards because it affects their spellcasting ability in many ways. Creatures of animal-level instinct have Intelligence scores of 1 or 2. Any creature capable of understanding speech has a score of at least 3. A character with an Intelligence score of 0 is comatose. Some creatures do not possess an Intelligence score. Their modifier is +0 for any Intelligence-based skills or checks.
Wisdom (Wis)
Wisdom describes a character's willpower, common sense, awareness, and intuition. Wisdom is the most important ability for clerics and druids, and it is also important for paladins and rangers. If you want your character to have acute senses, put a high score in Wisdom. Every creature has a Wisdom score. A character with a Wisdom score of 0 is incapable of rational thought and is unconscious.

Creatures with an int of - always are TN, as far as I can tell, as they are thoughtless begins running on pure instinct. Morality is a mental construct, after all, not a real, tangible thing that anything but human's aknowladge.

So, more specifically:
With this feat.
This is purely a "what if" because I know we aren't allowed to use wish, but if I were to craft one of those, the feat says that they're totally mindless, despite having an intelligence score usually. Would it still understand how to be evil if it's mindless?
And I know the obvious "if it's mindless, you couldn't tell it to use its wish anyways," but Kevin is weird and can communicate with oozes. Not sure if that's limited to them having an intelligence score enough to talk back. But I mean, speak with animals is a thing and they don't have to be able to understand speech usually. And it's only a 1 point difference in intelligence, despite the one point being - or 1.

Monkeygod |

You need to fix those URLS. Somehow, you have 'the Avalon Chronicles' in them, and thus they link to the campaign info tab.
However,
Skeletons and Zombies are mindless, and evil. They're also undead though, which are pretty much automatically evil.
So unsure if mindless auto equates to neutral. The mindless quality seems to apply specifically to crafted beings however(or at least many). I know in some cases, that means the creation shares the alignment of it's creator.
I guess really its up to you. This is rules light after all, and if RAW mindless creatures are supposed to be without alignment, but you want yours to have one, I'm sure Lyn wouldn't mind.

DK is sort of kind of checking in enough to maybe possibly not off his characters yet.
Or maybe not. He's not on the list. I dunno.
The pains of having two players with the same initials....
Yrrin is indeed gone, as are the rest of DK's characters. You're gonna see a whole lot of scenes involving people leaving or people finding out the fate of characters who have been in the background for a while once we hit change of day. After some time off, DK decided that he wasn't planning on coming back and asked me to write out all of his characters. Once I'm through all of those exits, I'll resume tracking down folks who have been taking time off to see if they are ever planning on coming back and if not how they want their characters handled.
And of course the other DK is still an active player and she has posts regularly. Well, at least it will not be as confusing in the future who I mean when I say DK. :P

The library is more along the lines of "the regular stuff is at the front in the order of a usual library and anything past that requires pith helmets and machetes."
This is the best possible description of the library....getting lost in the stacks can get serious. Especially if you wander into the wild magic section......

Finally got paid so I got the pokemon skinned New 3DS XL from Toys R Us. I went there specifically because they had an ad where if you spent $100+ you'd get a gift card usable in December for $25. I kinda knew in the back of my mind that it wouldn't honor it on electronics, but I went anyways because it's the same price no matter where you get it.
But my cashier(ess?) tried it anyways, so when it wouldn't work, she just discounted it the 25. So that was super cool of her.
Long story short, I got a system that actually works so I can play the new pokemon on the 18th.

Is it ok for someone to come across the intense heat you're projecting out into the hallway

Hmm Lucas about finished eating a while back, he could be walking with or without his family and just happen across that hallway
Or that could be the path my unnamed coutal lookalike takes to the cafeteria

First day of NaNo done. 2001 words. And I went grocery shopping, took care of sick kidlet, and played Pathfinder. It's bloody amazing how much faster I write with a deadline....
Anyhow, gonna try to get some game posts up tonight, but first I need some time to decompress. Or my novel is gonna bleed over into my posts. :P
