On wands, when bought of the market they are at 50 charges.

Male Orc Expert 5

Actually scratch that.

In the hope that the game will launch soon, I am simply going to use B'auw's bow against flying opponents. We have folks whose class features give them flight (or who aren't stretched as thin as I am for equipment)... they can take the lead in those encounters.

I'll leave B'auw as-is.

Now I really, really hope at some point the gnoll drives a wand into someone's eye...

If you're in my group, short-range flight shouldn't be an issue. Communal Air Walk is pretty awesome, and it's a spell I definitely don't mind casting and just splitting half-and-half.

Ha! I hope i don't disappoint! :)

We're starting tomorrow!

The local Scrollmasters Guild begs to differ. Death by paper...stabs??

Ah crap, I just noticed that the Celestial Armor (in difference to most other items) does not let's you "act as affected by", but actually lets you cast fly...
Usually that would make the item stronger, but for me it means I have to save against it...
Well, seems I have to go back to the drawing board (for my items). Again.

Male Orc Expert 5

Well it only really matters while raging if that makes a difference. Or am I wrong?

Yes, but if you suddenly need flight in combat, than you need it now, not after the combat is over and you are no longer raging.

Male Orc Expert 5

Hrm. A toughie. BEst I could say is try to use a flying mount. But that's hard to come by even at this level without levels in a class that cna give one potentially already (druid, summoner, etc)

HP 104/104 :: AC 27 T 15 FF 24 :: CMD 30 :: Fort +11 Reflex +12 Wis +8 :: Initiative +2

Gameday, folks! Someone should warn the Order...

Regarding the flying issue:

A potion of fly is probably your cheapest one-shot item (750gp) or there's Flying Oinkment that gives a longer duration. It's expensive, but when you need it, it's money well spent. :)

Alternatively, a tree token should prevent fly-by attacks.

Combine with a smokestick or 2 for more cover.

Sadly, you're probably a bit heavy for a floating feather token.

Female Half Elf Wild Caller 10 | HP 63/63 | AC 18/24 | T 16 | FF 15/21 | CMD 20 | Fort +4 | Ref +6 | Will +10 (+2 vs enchant) | Init +3 | Perc +5 | Sense Motive +2

A Flying Oinkment? Is that for helping pigs fly, or when you're carried by a flying pig.

HP 90/90 (+30 rage), Ini +2, DR 5/-, AC 27 (+1 rage, -3 RA) Touch 14 (+5 rage), Flat-footed 25, Fort +10 (+7S), Ref +7 (+7S), Will +5 (+7S+ 2 rage)

Potions are, sadly, also out as far as I know (though I'm admittedly not 100% sure, but it should still count as a spell).

The ointment is freaking (to) expensive (though strong).

I've never found the source for the feather token, and yeah, to heavy.

I'm currently thinking about either letting flight be for one or two more level and invest the money from the celestial armor into slightly (+2, will +3) better saves (sadly at the loss of 3 AC, the celestial Plate is after all the only Heavy Armor I can wear) or keeping the armor and hoping that I still have my Heart of the Field when I need flight...

Any opinions?

GM - Calithilon would take a different spell load-out for an assault than for a defense or general duty. Mind if I switch up?

Screw it, I'll just keep it that way.

Male Orc Expert 5

@Nwarld: I say not to worry about it too terribly much. Worse comes to worse you may have to drop out of rage long enough to get a fly spell on you or seomthign along those lines. I'd seriously consider a good way to negate or drop fatigue for those particular times so you can get right back to it.

Well, there are quite a few ways to rage cycle (before level 17), but I decided to abstain from them so far since it's usually considered quite cheesy to do it (though since ult equip there is actually an item that's supposed to enable it...)

HP 104/104 :: AC 27 T 15 FF 24 :: CMD 30 :: Fort +11 Reflex +12 Wis +8 :: Initiative +2

Talkative bunch so far in teh game thread.

Male Orc Expert 5

Well, the whole "Anticipation before the massacre" thing tends to breed quiet moments.

HP 104/104 :: AC 27 T 15 FF 24 :: CMD 30 :: Fort +11 Reflex +12 Wis +8 :: Initiative +2

Can't argue with that.

@Calithilon: No worries. It's fine.

And I just wanted you guys to be buffed before gating through.

Male Orc Expert 5

Stealth? What's stealth? Oh, wait, yeah, it's that thing other people do. The ones who dont dress brightly and pal around with a twelve foot tall onyx demon. :P

Beast is better at Stealth than I am.

Can I ask how Xon got such an awesome bluff modifier? Sheet has +21 = +8(ranks) +13(misc); where is the misc coming from? You don't seem to have bought the Skilled evolution.

+3 for class skill (you pick the ones for an eidolon) and mask of stony demeanour adds +10

Ahh, that makes sense. Interesting. But Bluff isn't noted down as a class skill- diplomacy and intimidate sure, but not bluff. Maybe note it down.

I must say, an enormous eidolon wearing that mask would be terrifying.

HP 104/104 :: AC 27 T 15 FF 24 :: CMD 30 :: Fort +11 Reflex +12 Wis +8 :: Initiative +2

I didn't realize I had B'auw walking out of all the introductions. :)

Also, are yall Detecting Magic as you search the cave? Could be smart.

Eidolon's skill lists expand as you level. In this case Xon merely grabbed bluff as a class skill when created.

So yes n this case the pet is far mroe personable than the owner.

I'm off for the evening but will return later tonight. Fear not, fear not.

Afraid I might have to drop out, sorry. Started a new medication that's doing some weird things to my head and this game, while promising, is very full and has a lot to keep track of, and that's really disorienting me. Very sad to have to duck out, but I'll probably just be bogging down the game if I don't.

And Seargeant HArt has yet to post in character. Disheartening.

Closer to 8 now.

Humorous how the entire group gels except for Seila-- even Seila's eidolon is more pleasant.

I did notice that Seila's at 22 AC, gets a +4 natural from barkskin for 26 but you have 28 noted down. It is a mystery!

Out of character, I love Seila/Xon and think they make for the perfect amount of interesting tension.
In character, Rose wants to kick her in the shins repeatedly and hide from Xon. :)

If I didn't make it apparent, I agree with the above sentiment! Er, both of them.

I was pretty much assuming she'd be in Xon's reach for the combat that never happened. So at least for now it's 26.

I'm glad people are being entertained by Seila even if she isn't likable by any stretch of the imagination. I keep channeling Shenhua combined with [url=http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/5853/paimeigy7.jpg]this lovable chap.[/url I don't know why...

Rose, I just tried to send you an IM and found that you have it turned off. I didn't even know that was possible. Please contact me.

I love everyone's personality xD

I had no idea that was possible either. After some crafty fishing around through settings I have fixed the issue and can receive messages.

As for the "combat that never happened" you could have assaulted the airship.

Male Orc Expert 5

That's it. The paladin's psychic. She has to die.

Aaaahhhh! Why? What'd I do?

Male Orc Expert 5

"Seila" very specifically did not give out her name. :P

Oops... Correcting!

Rose, Scharizade, check your IMs.

Hi, guys.

I applied to join the game at the original recruitment stage but, due to real-life stuff, didn't get my character done in time. I'd been following the story (and OOC chat) and, when Freddy dropped out, asked the DM if I could take his place. Well, here I am.

Despite the group only just getting together, I feel very much on the outside as you seem to have a good rapport going...please be gentle. :)

Here's to cold beer, warm wenches, an epic journey and much mayhem. :D
