Severus "Shiv" |

Here's the loot list from the encounter. Anyone want to lay claim to anything? Oscar said he wanted a healing potion but I am not sure which one he meant.
Sardaukar: The list you gave us seem to indicate a total of 6 potions we found (4 from man and 2 from elf) but we have only identified 4. Is that correct and if it is can Uraisa identify the other two?
From the man:
Masterwork dagger
Two potions Cure Light Wounds
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds
Potion of Invisibility
Six throwing darts
A pouch of gold
An amethyst
From the elf woman:
Two potions
A scroll
Masterwork longsword
A longbow and quiver

Ellantera |

Ellantera is all about weaponry, preferably longswords and daggers, but she got one of the prizes from the puzzle box, so I'm wanting the rest of the group to pick first.
I thought two of the identified potions came from the elven woman.

Severus "Shiv" |

Nice, ok here is updated list.
From the man:
Masterwork dagger
Two potions Cure Light Wounds
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds
Potion of Invisibility
Six throwing darts
A pouch of gold
An amethyst
From the elf woman:
Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Potion Of Fly
A scroll
Masterwork longsword
A longbow and quiver

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Uraisa would prefer a potion of healing of some sort. The invisibility should probably go to a sneaky character. The Fly potion won't help her much now, as her spells are mostly extremely close range for the time being.
If no one wants the darts, she could take those to use as a ranged weapon,, too, I suppose.
Appraise (untrained) on the gem 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Severus "Shiv" |

Here is updated list again. I'll put names next to things that they have indicated they have a desire for (this by no means suggests they have claimed it yet as some have said they want it only if no one else does). I do not have appraise yet. We have a druid, cleric, sorcerer, and wizard. Can any of you tell what the scroll is? I got the ring from the first treasure so I am sitting this out unless you designate something to Shiv or things are left on the table he desires.
From the man:
Masterwork dagger (Ellantera)
Two potions Cure Light Wounds
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds (Salt)
Potion of Invisibility
Six throwing darts (Uraisa)
A pouch of 35 gold (Split amongst party)
An amethyst (unknown value)
From the elf woman:
Potion of Cure Light Wounds (Uraisa)
Potion Of Fly
A scroll
Masterwork longsword (Ellantera)
A longbow and quiver

DM Shisumo |

Uraisa guesstimates the gem to be worth 1d20 ⇒ 6 about 230 gp.
I looked at the scroll and didn't figure it out, so I assumed it was divine in nature. That mightt not be correct, though.
Nah, that was just indicative of you rolling really badly. Anyone with read magic can tell what it is automatically - otherwise it will take a DC 17 Spellcraft check along with a casting of detect magic to figure it out.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Let's get the rest of the treasure divvied up.
Miet, how about you take the scroll of bulls strength since you identified it.
I don't think Kassandra has anything. How about she gets the potion of fly?
Give Shiv the potion of invisibility.
Anyone not get anything?

Severus "Shiv" |

Here are my suggestions along with everything else that has been put forward.
From the man:
Masterwork dagger (Galyna)
Two potions Cure Light Wounds (Galyna and Erwin)
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds (Salt)
Potion of Invisibility (Shiv)
Six throwing darts (Uraisa)
A pouch of 35 gold (Split amongst party)
An amethyst (230 gp value)
From the elf woman:
Potion of Cure Light Wounds (Uraisa)
Potion Of Fly (Kassandra)
Scroll of Bull's Strength (Miet)
Masterwork longsword (Ellantera)
A longbow and quiver (Unclaimed)

Severus "Shiv" |

Hold on to the gem Uraisa, I'm sure you'll figure it out in time.
From the man:
Masterwork dagger (Galyna)
Two potions Cure Light Wounds (Galyna and Erwin)
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds (Salt)
Potion of Invisibility (Shiv)
Six throwing darts (Uraisa)
From the elf woman:
Potion of Cure Light Wounds (Uraisa)
Potion Of Fly (Kassandra)
Scroll of Bull's Strength (Miet)
Masterwork longsword (Ellantera)
A longbow and quiver (Unclaimed)
A pouch of 35 gold (Split amongst party)
An amethyst (230 gp value)
Pouch of 100 gp from Lieutenant Kasadei
I'll divvy up the gold when we sell the amethyst just for simplicity.

Severus "Shiv" |

I have no problem with that Erwin. We can figure that out when we can appraise those gems and sell stuff. Any idea about how much you want? Also, I switched the CLW potion to Ellantera so each of our front line fighters has one healing potion. Just figured it was better than nothing and would take some healing pressure off but I totally understand.
From the Box:
Unidentified Magical Gem (Uraisa)
A matched pair of silver daggers (Ellantera and Salt)
Bronze Ring Of Feather Fall (Shiv)
From the man:
Masterwork dagger (Galyna)
Two potions Cure Light Wounds (Galyna and Ellantera)
Potion Cure Moderate Wounds (Salt)
Potion of Invisibility (Shiv)
Six throwing darts (Uraisa)
From the elf woman:
Potion of Cure Light Wounds (Uraisa)
Potion Of Fly (Kassandra)
Scroll of Bull's Strength (Miet)
Masterwork longsword (Ellantera)
5 gems from box (unknown value) (One used to pay Amazing Zograthy)
A longbow and quiver (Unclaimed)
A pouch of 35 gold (Split amongst party)
An amethyst (230 gp value)
Pouch of 100 gp from Lieutenant Kasadei

Oscar Salt |

I'm back, but not sure if it's time for me to act or not.
Also...Just my two cents on the mirror image...since it's a sight based illusion, I would assume that a person who is blinded is not using sight for their attack anyway, so wouldn't be fooled by the mirror image. So no double penalty...ie chance to miss, and false targets...but that's just my opinion. I'm good either way.
From the PRD..."An attacker must be able to see the figments to be fooled. If you are invisible or the attacker is blind, the spell has no effect (although the normal miss chances still apply)."

DM Shisumo |

No, you're right Oscar as far as that goes - the question I was pondering was, can a blinded person destroy a figment if they miss the target? Ellantera missed on her blinded miss chance, but what effect might that have had on the figments? Taking the RAW for what they are, the answer would seem to be no because the spell has no effect at all, but that seems a little bizarre, so I went the other way.
And yes, you can take your action now. Also, like El said, welcome back!

Severus "Shiv" |

::I'm smiling as I say all this.:: Getting old school as far as xp Shisumo? "Those baby goblin's aren't worth any xp alive!" I would think that escaping a ambush is good for something. I say this only for discussion as I think you have been MORE than generous up to this point for all our noncombat stuff :) I tend to give xp in my games if something is encountered and it posed an appropriate challenge regardless of the outcome. Just curious what your viewpoint is.

DM Shisumo |

Hey guys, I wanted to offer an apology for my longer-than-usual absence - I got sick the first part of last week, and then spent pretty much all the time since I got better trying to catch up on the work I'd missed while I was down. I got a promotion a couple months back, and the extra time commitment and responsibilities has given me a lot less margin for error when something, like my health, goes off the rails.

Ellantera |

To let you know, we are packing up our bicycles for few days on a rail-to-trail in Iowa. I don't know how much Internet access we will have over the next week, so please don't let Ellantera hold things up - please feel free to take actions on her behalf. Have a great Memorial Day (if you are in the States) and a great week (wherever you might find yourself)!

Severus "Shiv" |

Hey everyone, my dad passed away this past Friday. I will frequently be out of contact or just not up to posting until the 16th of July dealing with everything. Ellantera: please feel free to run Shiv in my absence or, if not, than Shisumo can DMPC him. Remember that he has an invisibility potion and isn't afraid to use it if he gets in over his head or it'll help catch our target.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Sorry to hear that Galyna. I know how much that sucks.

Black Tom |

Apologies for the threadjack, but we seem to have lost a player in our long-running AoW game (the game has been going for three years, we just finished the sixth installment A Gathering of Winds and the party is at level 12).
Since this is a very tight-knit group we would prefer someone to take over the character rather than bring in a new one. So if anyone is up to playing a half-orc bard with a silver tongue, let me know. I'm open to a certain amount of tweaking the character.
Since I have four excellent players already (including Mark) I'd prefer to keep standards high. That's why I'm asking you guys first before going to open recruitment.
