This guy lasts too much longer I might actually have to reload, nah, he won't last that long.

What a way to end it! How fitting, with a crit. It's surreal. Last night when I posted, I didn't realize just how much damage the crit had done.
I forgot to mention before, I'm going camping this weekend so I won't post for the next three days.
FYI: While this is definitely the Final Boss of the AP, there are one or two more Events within the book. So don't pack up just yet! After those, I'd love to do a little roleplaying to wrap up and then we'll be done! I still think we'll be done before my trip on July 31st.

Let's gooooo! I am glad I don't have to fool them. Ramming speed! Weapons on full power! Assign all outfacing screens to us flicking off the Corpse Fleet.

z45719 |

Glad you are feeling better!

![]() |

no worries at all. glad you're your better!

Out of fairness and consistency, we're going to play the Moving Speech as if it lets Gunners reroll their attack rolls.
But... I'm so curious what everyone else's takes on it are (for future battles/games). I wouldn't think of a starship weapon attack as a Crew Action normally. Especially since the rules say the Gunnery actions let you make an attack (meaning the attack is a different thing?) But then again, the DC is stinking high. Am I overthinking this?

Zoran Duvahl |

I just assumed since Shoot appeared under Crew Actions -> Gunner Actions it would work but it may not. I'm always fuzzy on Starship combat.

And I'll be away August 1-12 (mostly without access to signal), so *just about* right.
It seems like we're just going to make it :D

![]() |

We're going to be close!! This is a great time to remind that I will be offline July 31st through August 8th. I think we'll be done with the meat of the AP by then and will be enjoying our roleplaying wrap up at the end by then. (I regret that there may be a week gap in there on my part.)

z45719 |

Can't recall if I made note or not but this Friday and Saturday, and possibly Sunday will be pretty busy for me with family stuff.
I SHOULD be able to post at least once a day, but I can't guarantee it.

Phew, under the wire! I hope you all felt the urgency of the escape, I always feel like that's tough to instill into PbP.
This has been such a great time, three years long!! I'm looking forward to some roleplaying to say goodbye to each other and these characters, I think we and they all deserve it.
I'll be on a trip till August 9th, but I expect to post a little in between. I should be able to post in about 24 hours and then again on Wednesday and maybe again on the 8th. Thankfully, my job is mostly done! Ha! :)
Thank you all for the great experience, this has been the highlight of my PbP time. I know we have at least a few more posts together, but I am so thankful for the world we built together!

Zoran Duvahl |

Holy guacamole. It has been so long and it is almost bittersweet for it to end. Really has been my best time I have had on these forums and PbP for sure!
Thank you GM Ewok and to everyone else!

![]() |

Yeah, this has been amazing. Thanks for running this for so long Ewok! It's hard enough to keep groups together in real life, and long-term can be even harder in PbP. I think it's a testament to how engaging you kept the environments and encounters.
Everybody's character was memorable! For my part, Lenny was the first Starfinder character I created, I believe. Let's say there was... learning about SF builds :P
I also think this is the first full adventure path of any system (PF/SF/PF2) I've actually gotten to complete (!!)

z45719 |

Agreed, it's been one heck of a journey. I went into this pretty bummed about that amazing run with Shieldbug and wondering how I could ever find a group and game I enjoyed so much
And you all nailed it!
Thanks GM for such a fun ride.

Both points are true for me too.

I'll get a gameplay post up tomorrow at some point.

Hurrah! Although its been quite the journey and 3 (!!!) years in real time, somehow it feels like the AP has been all too short. A whirlwind of places and punching bad guys. It was a pretty wild run with some silly and not-so-silly characters and I'm glad I got to run it with all of you guys.
@Ewok: As someone who has been running my own Dead Suns in parallel with this one (though slightly slower - we're currently finishing up Hangar Country), I know very well how much wonderful additional stuff you created for us along the way. Loved all your characterization and the way you let us run with some silly ideas. You really went above and beyond for the group.
For everyone else, what a great group! I've now been in many short and long term groups on the boards, and this is one of the few where everyone was on the same page and vibing from early on. Loved the characters and everyone made me laugh one time or another. 5/5 - Would save the universe with you all again.

Zoran Duvahl |

Also, we all have earned a rest but looking forward...I adore this group of players and if we want to start a new journey I would be more than willing. GM Ewok is also deserving of some time behind a character if they want!
This doesn't have to be the end of the story for our characters even if they become NPCs or pass their legacy on.
I would be willing to play or even GM an AP (Devastation Ark is fitting) or even take on the mantle that Shieldbug once held allowing a group to charge through a long series of Scenarios (we all have the privilege of creating Kish now).
The offer doesn't have an expiration date so I am always around!

Thanks for bringing us through this, Ewok! And Pip, Zoran, Zulu and Lenny, too, for the incredible journey. My first full adventure campaign that I completed as a player.
Thanks, all! Appreciate it. :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! This has been such an amazing experience. I went over our initial few posts recently and forgot how far we've come. And that we originally had only planned on one book! It's been a wild ride.
I have slowly fizzled out my PC games for both Pathfinder and Starfinder over the last year, focusing mostly on this game. But I think I'll get back into playing either PF Second edition or maybe Starfinder a little at some point soon.

![]() |

Phew, how does one say goodbye to such an excellent group? I found it quite hard to put together that last post, I was thinking about it all week. Pip's idea for one last trip really brought it together. Nice job!
This was for Society credit, what characters would people like to receive credit on? (I need to go back and look to make sure I logged the other games properly too...)

z45719 |

Yeah, it's a tough one to say goodbye to.
I don't need any credits, I dont see any SFS in my future

Pippimi |

For SFS credit, please add it to my -705?
Here's where I put my details last time
Yeah, tough to say goodbye to for sure. I'd like to think that Pippimi and everyone are now off to have some more adventures, just off screen and into the distant future :)
Maybe one day I'll have them cameo in stuff I run!

The credit would go to 215076-704, on a character who is also Davrin. I had this idea to apply the credit on the same character, so that my PFS character who continue to progress (ala side missions). But that didn't work out that well, and I stopped playing Davrin (PFS) for some time now. Actually, I'm taking a hiatus from SFS also due to work demands, but who knows? Davrin might continue some time in the future.
Yeah, this is indeed a bittersweet farewell. This is my longest PBP campaign ever, and even though I don't know the real you behind your avatars, I still feel a connection. And hey, who is to say who is the "real you"? I believe we all play a facet of ourselves, and there is very much a Davrin in me. (Just not the ... you know ... profession part. Hmm, then again...)
I'm not quitting PBP though, despite my recent significant uptick in work. So I'm expecting to see you guys around? Mostly do PF2E now (just to keep my sanity keeping up with one system, and I'm GMing a RL campaign there). So hit me up if something comes up, yah?
Keep flying!

Mine is 54329-705, my Ryphorian.

![]() |

Mine is 272301-702, but what level do the remaining books apply to? I forget where we left off with credit.

![]() |

This one goes to levels 11 or 12! The amount of credits you get is WILD. Also, they swapped the rules so that AP's give standard Day Job roles as a part of their recent 8/12/21 update. So y'all get another 330 credits.
What an incredible experience this has been. I'm so glad we could enjoy it together!

![]() |

oh my. that's a lot of credits.
Thank you! Looking forward to the next one ;)

Not sure if it is just me, but I'm missing the chronicle for AP5. Did I miss it?

![]() |

Not sure if it is just me, but I'm missing the chronicle for AP5. Did I miss it?
You did, but because I did something weird. I forgot the AP 4 chronicle entirely, so I made AP 4 and AP 5 at the same time. You can grab your chronicle below. The second page of your pdf has AP 5.

_Davrin Emalon_ |

DoH! Heh heh, so I do have it then, just that I had labelled the file as AP4 and completely forgot about the 2nd page after that. :P Thanks!

You're welcome! I did the same thing when looking for my copy.
Alright, well, goodbyes are always hard. But, I'll be archiving this thread in a few days to clear up folks' home pages.
I'll also be posting a totally-not-braggy-at-all recap post in the Starfinder Lodge discussion thread to show that people really can complete AP's! Look for that sometime today.

Nice :) Let us know if you want help writing it, adding little crazy anedcodes/stories from our *long* time.

It absolutely does, I wish I was an artist but I am a writer. I may take the time to build a narrative of our adventures. It will likely take some time as I read through all of our posts and build it but when I finish I will definitely send it all to you.
I can't fully express how fantastic this has been...surprising too as we completed it in PbP through everything these past few years brought.
