Hobbes:
A translucent image of a globe hangs suspended in midair, slowly rotating in place, above a summoning circle in the blue-tiled floor of this large chamber. Lines of arcane energy glow across the globe's surface, faintly humming with power as they connect multiple endpoints in a radiant glow bright enough to illuminate the domed ceiling overhead. Many tables and shelves covered in books, maps, and large scrolls line the room's circular walls, and a large ornate mirror hangs between two open windows to the west. Twin ice sculptures of demonic fiends flank a bubbling cauldron in an archway leading into a deep alcove in the southern wall. More importantly, though, your companions are locked in combat with a half-dozen Ice Elementals.

Third Floor:
Working together, you're able to take down the Elememtal Zes cursed. The rest continue to press forward, and one manages to connect with Sigrun again (3pts damage, 3pts cold damage). The female voice laughs merrily. "Oh dear, you caught me! You shouldn't have come." As Hobbes appears in the teleporter, the male voice laughs again. "Ah, it's the Perpetually-Unappreciated! A word from the wise, my friend, she's never going to let you get with her. Best to move on." (Hobbes, along with everyone except Zes is Misfortuned)

"You don't understand, my boy. Those weaklings were expendable - merely intended to test your mettle. I never expected them to do any real harm, but now I know your tactics." He chuckles evilly. As he talks, Hobbes and Silence manage to score hits on their targets. Zes' spell, however, fails to work on the Elemental. Even worse, while Hobbes is distracted by shooting, he's suddenly struck by an unseen opponent. Mierul appears beside him a moment later, holding a scimitar made of fire. "Oh, shit... I'm visible now." She 5ft steps up to Zes and slashes him on the arm, burning his robes. Meanwhile the Elementals continue to pummel their enemies - and land a particularly solid blow on Sigrun. The unseen male continues to taunt as Vashti appears on the teleporter pad. "Ah, it's about time Mama showed up. Can I have a muffin?"

Neverhome: 5pts damage + 1pt cold damage + Fort DC 12 or staggered for 1 round

As the blow rocks her body the cold actually manages to pierce her resistance to it, seeping into her muscles and making it hard to move. At the same time, the old blood in her awakens to the icy touch calling forth an almost invigorating aggression.

Unleashing the icy rage within, the red headed fury gives a predatory smile her blue eyes flashing with a glittering crystaline glimmer as her wounds begin to close.

"Fire, fire, I'M ON FIRE!" Zses panics while trying to extinguish the flames. Staring at the blue-skinned woman, he backs off, only to bump on the wall. "Oh, uh, ops." he laughs nervously, hoping that the enemy will miss her next slash.

Did the elemental simply made it's save and I have to keep refreshing Evil Eye, or it resisted it altogether in some way?

A translucent image of a globe hangs suspended in midair, slowly rotating in place, above a summoning circle in the blue-tiled floor of this large chamber. Lines of arcane energy glow across the globe's surface, faintly humming with power as they connect multiple endpoints in a radiant glow bright enough to illuminate the domed ceiling overhead. Many tables and shelves covered in books, maps, and large scrolls line the room's circular walls, and a large ornate mirror hangs between two open windows to the west. Twin ice sculptures of demonic fiends flank a bubbling cauldron in an archway leading into a deep alcove in the southern wall. More importantly, though, your companions are locked in combat with a half-dozen Ice Elementals.

Third Floor:
Working together, you manage to take down another Elemental. Hobbes shoots Mierul in the face, but her pained yelp is cut short by Vashti's spell. She responds with a flurry of slashes. The remaining Elementals continue their assault and manage to land a couple hits. Then the male taunter makes his appearance. Dropping his invisibility, he unleashes a torrent of ice.

Neverhome: 4pts damage + 1pt cold damage + Fort DC 12 or staggered for 1 round
Silence: 3pts damage + 2pts cold damage + Fort DC 12 or staggered for 1 round
Hobbes: 8pts fire damage
Zes: 2pts fire damage
