Red raises its tiny hand, and a bright flash of light explodes directly in front of Zsestrian's face. (Will DC 11 to avoid being dazed for 1rd).

Did the green sprite made his will save for last turn's Evil Eye? Too stunned to cackle, so he'll lose the Attack Rolls one, but if he didn't make his save for the Saves one it should affect him for other 6 turns.


You may want to consider changing your name to Zsestrian the Unlucky. ;-) Of course, the Sprite rolled a nat1 on the most recent Evil Eye save, so there's that for consolation.

Somewhat annoyed at the sprites by this point the large feline growled aloud. "Im going to catch you, then bite your little heads off." He said in some annoyance. Guiding Mule to turn about to go after the red sprite. He will carefully stand up on the walking Mule and slice at the anooying hovering creature.

Red Sprite is distracted by Neverhome's ineffectual sword-waving and completely misses the insane catfolk horse acrobat. Silence scores a nasty blow and comes THIS CLOSE to hitting a vital artery. (barely missed the confirmation roll). It's still upright, though.

"Uh...what..." Zsestrian said, glancing left and right to understand what happened in the last few seconds. He sees the corpses of the two sprites. "Oh...Oh!" he will spring up on his feet and point his crossbow menacingly at the remaining sprite. Move action to take out the crossbow
"Seems like you're the last one! Now be a good little fairy and STAY STILL!" as he shouts the last two words, Zsestrian's shadow's silhouette deforms, showing way wider jaws than he actually has.

The last Sprite is blown backward by the force of Zsestrian's shout. It stares at him in shock for a second ... and then takes off away from the group. As it flies, it begins to glow, then four identical lights separate from its body and weave an intricate pattern around it. Then the five lights separate and shoot off in different directions. All of them are lost from sight in seconds.

Sprites are naturally-luminous creatures, but can suppress this at will. It reactivated luminosity and cast dancing lights to disguise its escape route.

The feline watches it run and split his tail lashing sheathing his blade.... Then he hops off his mount Mule and makes his way to Friend Erika picking her from the ground and out of the snow... Friend Ne... Lyosha, help friend Blik up.. its not good to be laying in the snow like that." He said trying to get her atop Mule brushing the snow off her carefully. What sort of things were those?" He asked attributing them to some sort of evil snow spirit caused by the strange storm.

After examining the symptoms, Zses will let out a sigh of relief."Nothing major, luckily, just a color spray spell. Well, I'm sure that's the case for Erika, but should be the same for Blik too. They should wake up in seconds, even if a little stunned. A minute or two of rest and they will be as good as new!"

Blik will come too like a lightning bolt, bursting free from his helpers and screeching like a wild animal. He'll flop into the snow and lay there for a moment, his breath steaming in the cold air and his little chest pulsing with the speed of his breathing. After a moment he'll seem to realize where he is and rise shakily to his feet.

He'll look at the others sheepishly and say,

"Uh, sorry... I hate Sprites..."

Erika mumbles something unintelligible and moves her head slightly. The world seems to be ringing and fuzzy. She tries to sit up and ends up falling off of Mule landing in the snow with a thump. The cold hits her face and she yelps, brushing it away. Then after a few moments her vision clears and she looks around at the group. "What happened? It was colorful, then it just..." she trails off.

The furred feline began offering his paw like hand to Erika to help her to her feet. Friend Lyosha and Friend Zsestrian managed to frighten the last one off yes yes." He said with a nod once more brushing snow away from her. "those little sprite arrows made me feel a bit tired, is anyone hurt? Are we okay to continue?" He asked glancing at everyone

I'm at 6/9 of unlethal damage. I'd say that we wait to heal until me make the next cold-weather checks (Hoping that I don't take a 1 and then a 6 and fall unconscious on the spot :P).

I think i only took one point of lethal damage since the red sprite? (cherry?) got AoO'ed.


After waiting for Erika and Blik to wake up, you continue deeper into the woods. The path gradually narrows until (about 40min later) it becomes a narrow game trail winding its way through the undergrowth. Hoofprints mark the underlying snow, leading in both directions.

Fortitude Save DC 16 for everyone to avoid 1d6 cold damage. If you take any damage, you also become fatigued. You can make a Survival DC 15 check to grant yourself a +2 bonus (if you exceed the DC, you can grant the bonus to other party members as well).

Blik finally remembers some tricks to stave off the cold that don't involve hibernating. He himself doesn't seem bothered in the slightest by it and now that the Sprites are gone will happily weave around trees as they make their way deeper into the forest, and back into the wilds that Blik is more familiar with.

Silence for the time being walked along side the mounts keeping a careful eye on everyone. Particularly friend Zsestrian and Erika. He at first had also kept an eye on friend Blik, but at his bouncing and running from place to place it seemed to the Samurai he was more than well.

"I agree with you friend Blik, yes yes. I hope to find the source of the cold as well. I dont think those sprites were the cause but perhaps a symptom much like the tetzelwyrm. (pronunciated wrong on my purpose).

Silence frowned suddenly as Lyosha became... obviously more animated. Whatever it was had him spooked badly spooked. He didn't understand why the normally solid half orc was reacting such. Then again he didnt recognize this Baba Yaga name at all. At least he was assumuning thats what caused the reaction, the others words he knew. "Easy friend Neverhome." he said soothingly sliding off his horse and getting closer to the barbarian.
"There are no Yaba Baga's here. Just snow and ice and friends searching for answers yes yes. Well and a wicked flying sprite thing that will join its friends if it shows its little blue face again. Be calm." He added trying to calm him down.

On an npc i would roll something, but I think friend Lyosha gets the gist...

He'll hang for a moment, then drop to the snow and continue on walking with a crouch to avoid being demoned away.
