Before Hagrym had time to charge, the others had taken care of the goblins. "How is everyone doing health wise? Any stray arrows hit you? "
Ive got two channels left today, if anyone's beaten up.

Wdrozgrúk |

Wdrozgrúk follows Mitleid up the ladder with uncharacteristic ease.
climb (untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
"I'm feeling much better, thanks to your healing Kaztor. Thank you!"
Sorry for the delays posting; had appointments and such. Just for the record, since Dolgrin asked, Wdrozgrúk speaks Common, Orc (of course), Goblin and Gnoll.

Unfortunate, Katzor you only have one. It got posted in the other RA game by mistake but everyone got the HP. It was for 2 HP also. So yes, everyone really needs to rest. The other dwarven cleric was like, "who is Katzor?". Seems like being a dwarven cleric is getting popular!

Elathras Narcinal |

at 10 of 15 HP. so ok for a bit
Elathras looks around the second floor for anything interesting, also checking the bodies of the goblins. After he is done he says to the team "Shall we return down stairs and into the next building?" then he goes down the ladder and returns outside.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
just out of curiosity isn't this the room the dumb waiter would be in?

Kaztor Strongforge |

Gotcha! That's fine, DM. I was confused for a bit, lol.
"Back down again, I suppose. Hopefully we killed all those awful little mongrels. If we could clear this old castle, it would be a decent base for us as we explore the area, you know."

Irenicus |

"We should ensure no immediate threats lingering and then set camp within the walls of this place."
He also assists while checking the room to appraise anything of potential resale value. Appraise: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

brvheart |

You would have to explore the rest of the castle to rid it of all of its 'other' inhabitants. There is nothing of value in this room.

Elathras Narcinal |

As the team gathers back downstairs outside the building; lets not leave anything behind us not wanting to get jumped form behind "come on lets go back this way and clear it out before we continue." Elathras picks up his pole arm and going back to the west side of the fortress he investigates the door to the south, opposite the one they entered earlier. looking and listening carefully at the door searching for traps.

Dolgrin Brightlaughter |

Did we explore the full 2nd floor? There were more rooms up there.
Dolgrin follows along, opening the door when prompted.
We still have much to see here, I think. Castles typically have sublevels.

Elathras Narcinal |

Dolgrim, it looked to me that the second floor was separate rooms without adjoining doors
Elathras nods to Mitleid, gnoll shield and axe in hand; ready to jump out of the way so the marksman can have a clear shot or to rush in, whichever the situations dictates. He reaches out and opens the door, or lets Dolgrin open it apparently ;) and takes a look inside.

sorry Dolgrin, you were right, we could move about on the second floor, so brv has us fighting the spider on the second floor
Elathras moves forward, calling out to Mitleid "I will bait it to the door way so you can shoot it." first step is to get it's attention bringing the shield and axe to bear he attacks the spider.

A few crates and bundles of cloth are roughly stacked in here. The crates were once filled with spare fittings and supplies, leftovers from the castle’s construction, but anything of value has long since been pilfered.
The centerpiece of the room is a long, four-man canoe suspended by ropes
from the ceiling and running the length of the room. It’s unclear how the
boat got in here or what its purpose was, the river being a considerable
distance from here.

Elathras Narcinal |

well the axe and the shield work ok after wiping the spider gore off of his new axe, Elathras looks around the room, a canoe, that may come in handy if we make it back to the river Walking out of the room he looks at Dolgrin and Mitleid, "Sorry boys, it didn't want to come to the door, but lets open another one and see whats in there, ok' As he talks he walks to the next door and inspects it.

This room was perhaps once divided up into four small spaces, but broken
timber struts are all that remain. The goblins use this as a communal
sleeping room or party room, as the mood takes them.

Elathras Narcinal |

Elathras looks around the room for anything valuable, and keeping an eye out for traps, they are goblins.

This chapel was once in honor of Muir but has been horribly defiled. Bones litter the floor and black cloth has been nailed to the walls. The odor of rotting flesh and dried blood is thick and the air is stale and smoky. At the far end of the room a statue of a bloated demon with a ram’s head and bat’s wings has been crudely constructed from stones and wood.
On the altar is a very well bound and detailed tome, praising Orcus and including prayers to him and some basic necromantic rites.

brvheart |

The book itself is probably worth up to 200 gp to a budding necromancer or collector, although any good creature would seriously consider burning it.

Wdrozgrúk |

"Apart from being a nasty piece of work, maybe there's some useful clues in that book about the rest of the place."
Wdrozgrúk will inspect the book and altar area to see if there's anything more useful there. Particularly clues about where we are now.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Never hurts to try!

Elathras Narcinal |

wow they messed this place up good. bored with walking around the spoiled chapel, and not interested in books, Elathras announces "lets head on, and finish clearing this place out" He leaves the chapel and goes to the door in the north-east corner, axe and shield in hand, checking it for traps. If it seems to be clear and unlocked he opens the door and walks in.

Kaztor throws in a helping hand to cleaning the shrine of Muir. He also takes the evil book, assuming he hears no objections. "No gold is worth letting this evil tome survive. If flame will take it, the cleansing of the evil will do us all good,". He nods. After cleaning, he will look for a safe spot to light the book ablaze before continuing.

Dolgrin Brightlaughter |

You don't want to summon unspeakably evil dead things back from their graves to smite them anew? Shocking. Burn the thing, and good riddance.
Dolgrin smiles sarcastically and once the book is burnt, scatters the ashes a bit.
Winning feels awesome, eh? I recognize this shrine, but Muir is not my patron. I would not know the rituals for it's restoration.

Kaztor Strongforge |

"We might not know the exact way of Muir, but cleaning away the filth, and saying a pleasant word or two should be enough to start it on its way back to good health."

Irenicus |

Actually Irenicus is inspecting the book as stated earlier. He tells you he will deal with it, but it may have clues, and keeps it. He doesn't show it to you if it makes you feel better.
