About Wdrozgrúk

Wdrozgrúk (Half-Orc Sorcerer)
Wdrozgrúk ("oo-drohz-GRUK") is a Half-Orc sorcerer looking for adventure. Tired of being an indentured forge worker, he discovered he has arcane talents and has decided to try his luck in the exceedingly dangerous occupation of adventuring.

Early Life of Character:
Wdrozgrúk is from Bard's Gate. He was raised there as an indentured labourer since infancy after his Half-Orc rogue parents had been killed while trying to rob some merchants. He worked as long as he could remember stoking forge fires for a blacksmith. It recently became obvious that he actually enjoys the heat and the fire, unlike most forge labourers.

He was one of many indentured Half-Orc labourers in Bard's Gate. He would often meet with the others to train in traditional Orc and Half-Orc weapons: the Falchion and Great Axe being natural to them all. Although Wdrozgrúk was not the most gifted warrior, despite being stronger and more dexterous than most humans.

He became a worshipper of Dre’uain the Lame. As do many craft and smith workers. He devout, but not zealous in his worship. Mostly because he was obliged to worship Dre’uain because of his work.

Several months ago, he landed himself in trouble with the law. Appropriately for someone fascinated by fire, Wdrozgrúk is a hot-head. Especially being looked down up as a "mere" Half-Orc all his life. He got into an argument with his boss and much to everyone's amazement, fire erupted from his hands and badly burnt his boss. He fled to avoid punishment.

By a stroke of luck he found temporary work with a sorcerer who taught him how to control his talents. So far the only impressive magic he's learned is how to make small firework dragons. But with his fiery arcane talents, he can make them hurt as weapons, as well as entertaining crowds.

That work, and his money, are now done. He's heard there's riches beyond imagining to be made raiding the dreaded Rappan Athuk. And he knows he's more likely to die than survive. But he doesn't care. Befitting his fondness for fire, he would rather die in a blaze of glory than continue leading a life of drudgery.

Personality:
Wdrozgrúk is a heavyset Half-Orc. Short and squat, like so many. He has beady eyes like many Half-Orc, but a close look reveals his pupils are red-tinged, like smouldering coals. He is stronger, more dexterous, tougher, and smarter than most humans. And his force of will is stronger still. He'll make a loyal friend and companion. But he can also be obstinate, bullheaded and mercurial to those who displease him.

Motivation:
Tired of the life of a labourer, he seeks glory. He knows there's a better than even chance of dying in the process. But he doesn't care. He wants to experience the thrill of risking his life in something more glorious than stoking the fires of a blacksmith's forge.
