You spot a group of mutated freaks, carrying a supply cart, following a cleric of Baphomet. They are unaware of your presence.

Sapphire Aurora |

Saph watched the odd group from her hidden spot
"A cleric of Asmodeus and his pets, interesting."

Take 10 on Knowledge (Religion) for a 14.
Whispering as quietly as possible, "Not a devil, a demon."
Stealth? What's that? Sure why not there's a 20 on every die!
Stealth with ACP: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 2 = 10

Sapphire Aurora |

"How can you tell, they all look the same to me"
She loves down the rock ledge, it was a worm day out in the dry planes. But it did not seem to affect her. She looked ta the others and asked.
"So you want to go kill the Demon?"

Aurical |

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10
Damn website ate my post. Are we here to stop supply runs, find out what they are up to, or perhaps just to kill and capture demon followers?
Aurical frowned as he was unable to discern what goods the enemy was carrying. Noting the conversation between the trained killer and the odd humanoid. While their motivations were as far apart as could be, he did find it pleasant they both seemed eager to fight the demon worshippers. Common ground was useful if they were to all work together.
"I am curious what they are carrying." the oracle mused, "Perhaps if we follow them for some time we can learn the cultist's plans."
Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Liliyashanina |

F#~# this a weird spidery mutated thing (kn. dungeonneering to know) snarled. As she (you think she is female) struggled with the sudden eruption of weird whatever that suddenly showed up to entangle them.
You will f##%ing obey and push this f~*@ing cart with its f$@%ing supplies onwards towards the grey garrison! The one non mutated member spoke, pretty clearly a cleric of some type of Baphomet, as she sought to cut herself free with her glaive.
The supplies, including the rod of cancellation are of the greatest importance of Lady Arelus plans! The Baphometan added
Empty night one of the other unfortunate mutants said, I thought I heard something
YOU ARENT HERE TO THINK! AND ALL YOU SHOULD HEAR ARE MY ORDERS! NOW MOVE! The cultist snarled, utterly oblivious to your presence.

Targis of House Fal |

Sigrat waits patiently around the corner for either the all clear signal or the enemies spotted signal. After all, his armor made him a liability when it came to moving quietly, but it had protected him well in these last few days. Sure pulling up the rear might not be the most glamourous, and it made getting into the fray a little bit trickier, but he had been trained as a soldier, and respected the tactical advantage it gave their motley group far more than he sought any personal glory.

Sahala Love |

The witch standing next to Sigrat puts her hand on his shoulder, as if to make it clear that it's too early. It is obvious that a disciplined soldier does not need such hints, but it seems that she is not looking at the creatures and the cultist, but at the broad back and powerful shoulders of the warrior himself.

Sapphire Aurora |

"You know I was going to say how sorry I was killing that Demon, but with that potty mouth, I think I should give him a good telling off"
Taking a liberty here GM

"But if we pull back, go along that rage and head over that way, we can set a ambus and let them come to us"
She points.

Arrius Voralius Constantine |

There is a link to the map up top but I can't seem to add my token to it. In any event the PCs are starting in a box and the caravan is ahead of the PCs and moving away from us so if we wanted to ambush them, we'd have to move faster than they do (without being seen or heard) and get in front of the caravan.

Liliyashanina |

The mutants look malnourished, the enemies with ranged weapons are close to your, the enemies with melee weapons are on the other side of the weird growth, they have not noticed you.
Regarding moving adding tokens, try again please

Arrius Voralius Constantine |

@GM: I have added Constantine's token to the map, thanks! With that roll I'm not sure he could see his boots. 8)

Don't forget to attempt the Perception check. :)

Yartak "Woodensword" |

Yartak beholds the strange group as his complaints decide how to approach. He stays silent, not having much idea of how to do it.
These last days come into mind. The situation was similar - the city was invaded, the dragon killed and everything a chaos - and he didn't know what to do. Just by sheer luck, he found a cellar which he was able to lock, keeping himself hidden food as long as his food lasted.
Maybe now luck comes to help also...
"What if some take positions while others try a 'non-harmful' approach as a distraction?" he comments, assuming they're going to assault them.
Hard to put my finger in the map from the phone, sorry - will do it later from the pc.

Arrius Voralius Constantine |

I copied your icon here and pasted it over there in case you want to use the same one. I also moved Constantine back behind the cover of the buildings because I wasn't thinking right when I first placed him.

Arrius Voralius Constantine |

Bit confused here. Something entangled them? Am I missing posts?
I think it's from this bit from earlier: " Vellexia F~*~ this a weird spidery mutated thing (kn. dungeonneering to know) snarled. As she (you think she is female) struggled with the sudden eruption of weird whatever that suddenly showed up to entangle them." Unfortunately no one made a Knowledge (Dungeoneering) check to know what was going on.

Sapphire Aurora |

Steph calculated the best options in her mind. Volly attack, no they did not have the range, Sneek in, nope not when some had armor on. They needed a pull, and someone to be the target who could get themselves out of trouble. Looking the others over there was only one option. She pulled out her short bow from her handy Haversack. Knocking an arrow.
Whispering to the others "Right you lot, This is our one chance, a pull, we pull them with bait, I will take a shot at them and then make a dash for that wall just over there, I'll be exposed in the open, I want them to think I am alone, so they come after me. Wait till they come for me, then once they come for me, you all rush at them from here, if we are lucky and the pull works, they will not know you on them until it's too late, right now get yourselves ready"
Saph took aim, and wanted until the others were ready Then in Suprise round she shot, and as soon as it was in the air, Saph started to move out and across the gap to the other wall.

Yartak "Woodensword" |

When Sapphire suddenly shoots an arrow and starts running, Yartak doesn't know how to react. He tries to get some sense out of her words and suddenly understands.
"Alright, let's do this..."

Sapphire Aurora |

Ok sorry to be a pain here but, Saph was very clear on the plan and TOLD everyone, Yartak included, then she waited for everyone to get ready sorry to say there was no "suddenly" about it. However if Yartak is the kind of PC who does pay attention, well now, that is a whole other fun-packed matter, hehe
Saph ran, and hoped the others waited to see if the Clreic and its crew took the bait. She knows some of them were slow in the uptake being more fond of drink and the for-hire staff of inns than killing. She however was made for this, there was just this, Killing and Stabbing. She felt that more stabbing was in order this day. yes lots of it.

Constantine watches Saph shoot and run and then moves along the line of cover while drawing his nodachi, waiting to see if the enemy takes the bait.
@GM: Move action and drawing weapon as part of his move.

Sapphire Aurora |

Now she could see that the cart was webbed she called to the others
"They are webbed, attack!!"

Liliyashanina |

I wish it was a web One of he mooks, named "Beaver-Bob" said, the reason he was named "Beaver-Bob" was a matter of debate, webbed hands, check, beaver tail, check, beaver teeth, check.
If it was a web we could salvage the spider silk! Which would be worth way more money then what we get as Cultists Salary!
What the f#@~ The spidery female mutant interjected
You are getting a salary? She continued
No I am not! Which means the spider silk would be worth a lot more then our salary! Beaver-Bob answered.
Salary? Its about the Glory of Baphomet! The priestess shouted
But we worship Deskari? Beaver Bob interjected
Shut up and fight! Came the reply.

Yartak "Woodensword" |

Yes, it was obviously a way to RP that Yartak was distracted. Poor RP, I know.
Yartak starts running, since most of his tricks go best in short range.
That's for surprise round: move.
Checking that he won't probably make it for one of his blasts to get a full effect, Yartak ecides to change strategy and instead buff one of his allies.
"Eh... Wanna grow up?" he asks Constantine and gently touches him.
Full-round to cast Enlarge Person on Constantine, if he's willing. Will take effect at the beginning of Yartak's next round (so you might want to delay, Constantine).

Since I go last that won't be a problem. 8) But you might want to get a clarification from the GM if Enlarge Person would work on Constantine. As an Aasimar, he's a native outsider and not a humanoid. He also does not have the 'Scion of Humanity' alternate racial trait.

Liliyashanina |

It works, partly because I want to avoid the "Ok people suspected of being a Succubus, lets see if enlarge person works on you!" thing

Targis of House Fal |

Looking around to make sure that there are no other visible threats to the rather squishy looking casters, Sigrat begins the long and arduous journey of a heavily armored character to the front lines. He gestures for Sahala to follow him

Liliyashanina |

Do you ant to retcon any of this? You can start anywhere within the area enfolded by he 2 yellow lines, and then do you surprise round action.
It was not my intention for you to have to wade into combat for several turns :).
Note, will be clearer next time

Yartak "Woodensword" |

No worries on my part. Yeah, I could have started closer, but since I kind of asked to have my token placed for me, well, I guess I'll have to do with things as they are. S'all good, man :) Woops, and sorry for the Aasimar+Enlarge thing, damn me... I didn't notice :P It has a 30ft range, though, if you want me to cast it on anyone else instead.

Liliyashanina |

I am ruling that enlarge person works on Aasimars and also on Demons pretending to be mortals

Aurical |

Aurical perked up as Sapphire both proposed and acted out her plan in one swift movement. The small scale-kin uncertain if he should be upset she was so proactive, or that he didn't think of it first. He was a healer blast it! Not a tactician. Still, as the others closed with the enemies he moved up as well, singling out the nearest unengaged target and firing his crossbow.
"For good and glory!" he called out. Trying to make his presence known on the battlefield even as he hung back.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d6 ⇒ 5

Auricals crossbow hits the weird spidery mutant, but does not penetrate her partially chitinous hide.

mwk longbow, rapid shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
shooting a flurry of bows at Aurical! Thankfully for our intrepid Kobold, the first goes wide, the second hits, but the Kobolds hide is just as tough, harmless deflecting it.
I try to make description in terms of how far you miss, to give you a narrative way of telling you how close you were. Generally speaking, if you are on target, its "dodge" then "deflection" then "shield" then "armor" and "natural armor" last, unless you are trying to hit an incredibly high nat armor AC low everything else creature, something getting stuck in natural armor means that you were fairly close.
You will be a tasty morsel! I am quite certain that what applies to lizards in terms of cooking applies to whatever you are as well! You should be edible raw! You will go nice with Crusader tears! The Swarm will feast upon you!
Auric, Saph and Sigrat are up. If Auric targets Wenduag, she is still flatfooted, partly on account of compulsive villainous trashtalk-monolouging. I am counting Auricals crossbow attempt as his surprise round attempt.

Sahala Love |

Sahala moves forward so that Sigrat still remains between the enemies and her. Looking at the freaks, she begins to laugh. Hah! Listen up. It is clear that Our Lady in the Shadows laughs at both the Goat and the Insect, because she is immeasurably higher than them... But you can't figure out how you ended up together, right? Hey, Descari's servants, Baphomet and his minions are just using you. Later they will kill you with no reward, just as Baphomet himself will cut the Descari with his glaive! You haven't figured that out yet, have you, stupid ones?
