Thistle grins a confident grin as he watches his companions batter the guardian. Feeling inspired, he holds his ground and takes in the awesome sight.
In the back of his mind, he ponders whether or not he would be able to utilize a new, divine power granted to him by the goddess of all healing. Thistle studies the movements of the mechanical device carefully, ready to pull the divine strings of fate at a moment's notice.
I am going to delay for now, not much I can do at this point. However, I have a new feat called Divine Interference. To use it is an immediate action. So to help save some back and forth I will just declare now that the first time the construct makes a successful attack against one of the party members, I will activate that ability, sacrificing a level 2 spell in order to make him re-roll the attack at a -2 penalty.

Bruce opens the door, and has a good look at the chamber behind it. This huge chamber was once square, yet the northern half has bubbled and run as if melted. Above, the ceiling arches up in a dome braced by grand arms of stone carved to resemble the ribs of some great beast. From the dome’s zenith, the perfect green glass column of the Emerald Spire spears downward.
Where the Spire meets the floor, it is clasped by two wide, horizontal brass doors set flush with the stone. The Spire pierces these doors along their seam, where the bronze conforms perfectly to its smooth cylinder. Runes and hieroglyphics—some crude, some incredibly intricate—cover the doors.
The runes on the door seem to be written in every language imaginable, but they all say the same thing: "WARNING".
A mechanical being, similar to the one in the previous room stand guard, looking warily at the strange, warped, worm-like creature in the other end of the room. When the party enters, though, he turns their attention to them, and says Unauthorized intruders, you will hereby be removed from this area. None are allowed to breach the seal!

Caranthir feels his memory becomes poorer as the wave of randomness hits him. EVen worse, the spell causes him to feel bloated and flabby all of a sudden, and he notices he is no longer holding his bow. In fact, he no longer has his arms, or legs. It's a bit hard to tell from his position what has happened.
Caranthir has turned into a giant, four-eyed fish.

Thistle screws up his face in confusion as his body begins to glow, wondering what creature could pull his divine power from him unbidden by him. Panic creeps in just a little as the light is clearly tainted by an other-wordly force.
When the light explodes, singing his garments and leathers and leaving a faint smell of cooked snake wafting through the air, he breaths a sigh of relief assuming the effect is over. He flicks his head back and forth, surveying the chaos in front of him.
So far back from the crux of what is happening, Thistle decides to get a little closer to the action. He sidesteps the hulking Jelani, plowing past the machine guarding the door without regard to the openings he creates. Inside the room, he braces himself for the next wave of chaos.

Death Flood (Su) When a grodair is killed, it immediately explodes in a 15-foot-radius burst of highly pressurized water that deals 5d6 points of bludgeoning damage (DC 17 Reflex for half). After the explosion, a successful DC 25 Survival check allows a creature to recover a cluster of strange organs from the remains. This cluster functions as a decanter of endless water for 2d6 hours, but can only produce a "stream" or "fountain" effect. Failing this Survival check by 5 or more causes the cluster to burst, dealing an additional 2d6 points of damage to that creature (no save) and destroying the organs entirely. Muddy Field (Su) As a standard action when on sand, soil, or other types of loose earth, a grodair can gush standing water into the area surrounding it. Thistle winces a little as Bruce takes a beating from the chaos beast. He begins to get impatient, lamenting Caranthir's circumstances and hoping they can finish these things off quickly.
Retreating from being so close to the beast, Thistle puts himself in the middle of the room, calling upon the blessings of the gods to heal him and his companions.

Fellgrim turns the feet of the construct into a fiery mess, which provides enough distraction for Jelani to bring in a deadly blow, smashing the towering figure to pieces.
